SWEET JESUS AT THESE IMPRESSIONS MAN

LOL

Isn't CDPR doing that?

Oh is that going to be a Witcher-type game? For some reason I thought it was like a RTS or something.

What the hell this thread blew up like crazy!! , i can't go through with all of that.
Guess i will wait for the review thread.

OH MY GOD

WHAT IS THIS GAME
MIAMIIIIIIIIIIIII I have no idea if you're where I am in this game but OMG

THIS PLOT

GUERILLA WHAT HAVE YOU DONE HERE

:O

I don't want to be consumed by hype but OMG

Let me guess, Helghast warships show up at the end to find out that Earth has suffered an apocalypse? We didn't know Earth was destroyed due to transmission delay between Earth and Vetka/Helghan. Horizon is actually a Killzone sequel!

so what is the combat like? i know she has a bow but is there weapons like axes? is it mostly ranged combat?

You truly have to go from various ammo types, to rope, to dodging, and traps. Like... when it all comes together it's amazing. Man the sense of scale here is just fantastic. Both in enemy encounters and enviroment.

I was worried the tripwire + let enemy run into tripwire strategy would be pretty OP. Is that so?

Like these bigger creatures are now reminding me of like Monster Hunter style battles. I keep dying. Biggies are no joke.

This is what I'm hoping combat is like (monster hunter style battles).

So far the only things I hear about this game is not a strong rpg (I can get over that as while I prefer RPGs I like other games too) and for me too short (I said for me. I like a game that will suck me In at least for a month. I hate neatly don't get people who want games to not last them long). And I say too short cause from what I hear of this game I think I'm going to love this game so if it really lasts me as short as people say it's going to go by too quick.

Hmm?

9/10 review it seems, albeit in French.

A new start to dazzling ambition and overflowing generosity, a "post-post-apocalyptic" open-world, a fierce heroine, all combined for a dizzying masterpiece.
The most beautiful open-world of this generation...

It was a bit of a thrill to realize that after more than 20 hours of playing, I continued to discover unexplored places or find new types of objects ... Yes, to the end, I never ceased to be Amazed by the artistic richness, the grandeur of the places, the majesty of the panoramas to the point of being able to take pleasure in simply to traverse it.

The bad things for him seem to be: some inconsistency in the AI, some fights are too hard (I am guessing random difficulty spikes) and something about the final not being conclusive (not sure on this last one)? Aside from that its a very glowing review from my very little understanding of french. lol

What a technological and artistic demonstration, so close to the level of a Naughty Dog title but in total open-world without any loading time once launched in the adventure. Several times I was crushed by the visual and playful generosity of the game. Many times I wondered what superhuman efforts the teams of Guerrilla had to deploy to give birth to such a work so rich, so dense, so beautiful and so refined . Much more profoundly than with the Killzone saga, Guerrilla hoists his name among the very great.
.

early reviews are too generous and this isnt even a 10...hell make it a 7 or 8 at best because at least some of those points are for a sjw icon as a lead.
fanboy tears incoming?

jk
i shit you not though, someone's gonna use at least one of those excuses
You probably won't find that shit tolerated here but you can bet your ass you'll hear it from some deranged lunatics on Twitter.
As for the review itself, that's some high praise

From the review, it looks like the game is pretty tough. I hope what someone said about having to constantly use items is true. Normally in open world games, I manage to hoard so much shit that I don't know what to do with. By the end of fallout 4 I had over a hundred stimpaks and plenty of ammo and stuff.

For everyone being blown away by GG's essentially first strong push on PS4, where were you in 09 for the Killzone 2 hype train? This is nothing new for GG to blow everyone away with their technical prowess.

i picked it up late for like 15 bucks and it is still my favorite fps campaign ever right alongside hl2 and far cry 3. all for different reasons.
the atmosphere and visuals in kh2 were phenomenal and like nothing else. and im someone who generally hates the shit out of linear fps campaigns
