Well, this is a super one-sided feud if I ever saw one.

Didn't gawker defend themselves by claiming freedom of speech? Sure wouldn't mind see them burning down over this.
why did the thread about the sex tape got nuked from GAF?
Article I read says Gawker is probbaly fucked. Bringing that leg drop down hard!
this is should be our official national anthem
Oh, my bad. That's a little different then...They took down the video. They wouldn't take down the text.
GAFfers could pitch in to collectively buy Kotaku and save Jason, Patrick and friends, right?
Hulk has every right to be outraged that Gawker refused to remove the sex tape when asked.
I think there is a vast difference between my sex tape and hogan's. I don't think a media outlet should be able to publish anything but I think the first amendment means we should give them wide latitude
So this company made probably hundreds of thousands or even millions of dollars publishing articles proclaiming moral outrage re: a leak of nude photos of attractive young women in the prime of their careers, yet also made a ton of money posting and commenting on the sex tape of a washed-up, broken down old man, humiliating him in the process?
Fuck them. Burn the whole goddamn network of sites to the ground, they are absolute trash.
I think the iCloud photo scandal was the catalyst for the lawsuit. Maybe time to prepare a case? Gawker sites refused outright to display and showed much disapproval of the iCloud leaks. However refused to remove Hogan's sex tape despite having orders from a judge and after repeated requests.
I should make it clear: we would have settled too, in the interest of fighting another day, if Hogans demands were reasonable and the story flawed in any way. But now that the trial is on, we intend to fight it as far as we need to and we can.
"Gawker Media has made a business of predatory journalism, violating peoples rights to make a buck," Tarantino said in his lawsuit. "This time they went too far. Rather than merely publishing a news story reporting that Plaintiffs screenplay may have been circulating in Hollywood without his permission, Gawker Media crossed the journalistic line by promoting itself to the public as the first source to read the entire Screenplay illegally."
I'd like to hear an argument why they didn't host any other recent celebrity leaks then. They just sound like awful hypocrites who can't admit that they did something immoral.Good lord, their response to the lawsuit is incredible.
Start with a pompous and tone deaf tite: "The price of free journalism"
Really? A sex tape is journalism these days? I know it's click bait, but journalism? No.
Then he says:
Oh, you mean like following a court order? Yeah, totally unreasonable.
Yeah, I'm rooting for the Hulk here. These clowns need to be taken down a pegGood lord, their response to the lawsuit is incredible.

I wonder what they're gonna do?
Hit the leg drop from orbit, brother, it's the only way to be sure.
I seem to recall that they didn't take it down when asked, and bragged about it? Like that was a headline? "Hulk wants us to take down his sex tape but we refused lol"?
Agreedi hope terry wins and gets some of that paper back he lost in the divorce.
Good. Hopefully this bankrupts that shithole.
I wonder what they're gonna do?
I think it would be a great thing. I don't hate Gawker but especially in this case they deserve to lose it.Edit: Of course, they immediately linked to a copy of it on DailyMotion, so their overtures about free speech and what not don't exactly ring with authenticity. I'm not convinced it would be a good thing for Gawker to lose this case, as much distaste as the very mention of the network triggers in several vocal GAF posters.
