I would not like to be spending a day waiting this one out.

Unlike Katrina, these people might be taking a crowbar to their roofs in the middle of a hurricane. That's assuming that they can bust a whole before drowning, which in most cases will be quite unlikely.

Tyler isnt really going to have a problem. They are further than naca-nowhere. Tyler is like 4 hours from the coast.Solaros said::lol
I have some family in Tyler, TX who are riding this one out as well.
They really fixed that this time. There is absolutely no one one the roads relative to what happened with Rita, if i were able to and so desired i could be further away in a snap.I'm in Austin, and I'm alternating between just worrying about everyone else and also worrying about myself. I'm definitely glad I don't live in Houston anymore. I evacuated from Rita and that was a 14-hour drive that I don't want to relive.

People are going to start dying in just a few hours, as conditions worsen to a point where the rescue teams have to pull back. And still 12 hours until the worst of this hits. Going to be ugly.
"Police told a man who refused to leave the coast, to write his name and SSN on his arm, so he could be identified after the storm."
