Hyper Light Drifter |OT| We On A HyperLight Beam

That's from whatever the latest version of DS4Windows is, running on W10.

Good luck!

(Also to make that option work you have to activate it when no programs that use the controller are running, like Steam, Uplay, whatever. It will give you a warning if they are.)

I don't have that option so i might need to reinstal ds4 windows

Man I'm loving the difficulty, the challenge is satisfying but very fair. I like it.

So is there any hidden penalty for death? It appears to just dump you at the most recent safe spot and take two blocks of HP.... that's all it's doing right?
No penalty. Doesn't take HP either. All it does is take you back to the snap chat of your last save point. That includes enemies, items (collectibles, health packs, etc), and your current status.

Well I'm only about an hour in but it is VERY SAFE to say that this is not a "Kickstarter stinker." Outstanding quality, immediately obvious.

Hmm weird, I would definitely recommend you update to the latest version, it seems to have ironed out most of the existing issues.

Oh definitely. I'd place it besides SuperHOT and RimWorld as the best three games that I've backed (well, four when Rain World comes out)

If anyone else is slightly distressed by the 30 FPS I would advise a 1/2 refresh lock and 30 FPS limit through Nvidia Inspector (or AMD equivalent). It's still not the greatest, but it helped me with the slightly nauseating movement of the screen.

Rain World looks soooooo good. I know you've been hyping that a lot. I'm super excited too.

Man this is some 80s-ass difficulty. It controls so well but I'm really having my ass handed to me here. Those
bull-rushing plant
creatures are fucking savage.

Edit: Ohhhh man he jams
his sword into the ground
after you beat that area.... fucking awesome.

In the northern part of the map, on the last quadrant for that area. Need some help with this part: http://i.imgur.com/L0Kecuf.png?1
Not sure where to go from there

Maybe? I believe you have to activate those four devices to open the boss fight area; I've activated three, looking for the fourth, and the map is saying it's in that area: http://i.imgur.com/PVXUrjf.png?1

Exact same problem I'm having in the north, can't seem to get to the boss battle with those three boxes blocking the way.

OMG! This game is faaaaaaantastic! It's one of those games from which you don't know what to expect cuz you basically don't know anything about them and then, after you start the new game... BOOM! the game immediately wins your heart forever and I can recall just a few games like this in the past 6-7 years. This game is without a doubt the very first contender for game of the year so far in my eyes, just like Ori last year.

Damn, I'm so fucking happy right now.

OMG OMG you guyyyyyys just got home, activated my Steam key downloaded and launched the game : just from the first cutscene and moving around a bit with the character, that atmosphere, music...I already know it's gonna be special, just like FEZ captivated me from the get go.

Haaaaaaaaa.

I can post the link to the vod of me reaching the boss if you guys want.
How in the world do I turn off these gold weapons? The only PC in the initial room that works is the one for the companion.
There isn't one for weapons AFAIK.

Didn't find anything for them in the house.

After the Slain debacle, I am so happy this turned out so well. Pixel art and Sound are glorious. I recall Fez and Superbrothers which I adore. And the gameplay is rock solid, too. A happy marriage of Zelda and Dark Souls. A bit obscure in the narrative department, but thats not too bad.

I don't think it is that much of a spoiler, but:
You only need 3 triangles to access the door that leads to the boss. After you get 3, from the big teleport platform, I think you go to the right, then down some steps, and you should eventually see a door with 3 triangles. Go through there to find your way to the boss.

I hadn't even heard of RimWorld until I read this post. It really looks like a Prison Simulator mod at first glance!

$30 is a bit much for an impulse purchase so I'll look at it some more.

Are you kidding me? They make a 30fps locked game and don't even bother to lock it properly with correct frame pacing? This really sucks.

Thanks a lot for the heads up, btw!

There is one. It's the terminal in the middle.

Companions on the left, blade in the middle, outfit on the right.

Well how come I can't access the middle or right ones? They're blank. The only one I can change is the one on the left for the companion, even though I added my gold and alternate drifter DLC codes.

I was able to use them after I got another outfit in the game. Maybe until then?

I'm having the exact same problem. I've posted here, on Kickstarter and on Steam. Still don't have an answer.

You actually get more outfits during the game? That might be the answer!

(I won't be able to play for a few more hours)

I don't quite understand how the "Dash Challenge" works. It always get up to 35-45 then my dude just stops. Am I supposed to press A faster the longer it goes?

There's a precise rhythm after the startup. It's 1....2..3..4..5..6 etc.

I have found that lifting my thumb firmly off of the A button between each is the perfect amount of time between each press after 2.

That being said... 800 is a bitch.

I went through the three triangle door but might have messed up my way. Thanks.

I'll play this (if my controller works!) for a bit after trying the FFXV demo tonight. Anyone else having issues with the in-game framerate lock? Is it borderless or exclusive fullscreen?

I bought my first upgrade. I think it's a dash upgrade. The one from the top. The animation changes, but I can not identify what it does. Can someone help?

Played for around 20 minutes earlier today. I thought I wouldn't mind the 30FPS lock that much, but I ended up thinking about it more than once in that short session. Game seems fantastic otherwise.

Anyone gotten to the first boss fight yet? RPS put up some impressions that have me a bit worried about the game's difficulty later on.

You can quickly dash and chain them now. Give it a shot in the room where you upgraded it.

You also unlocked your Dash meter. Is above your HP.

If I'm not mistaken, there isn't a "first boss". Rather you choose which direction to head. Can Anyone confirm?

cool. thanks. I need something like that. Against bigger groups, I get my ass handed to me.

Yep, you can take on any of the first 3 bosses in any order. I've beaten two so far, North and East, both of them are challenging but by no means overly difficult. I'm really curious as to what boss the guy at RPS faced first, because if it's either of the above then I reckon he's just genuinely frustrated that the game isn't more forgiving.

Also the "dash meter" is more of a stamina bar. Charge moves up from it too, as do other non-standard attacks.

Based on what I've seen in the world so far, I'm assuming there must be some kind of double dash that allows me to get over longer gaps. Is that correct?

I'm pretty sure Walker said (in the comments) that he went East.

I'm starting to become convinced that dashing in combat is just a total trap. I do much better just walking around. Every time I try to make shit fancy, I get my ass ruined.
