like most controller gimmicks, sadly most games use it badly.
the only games it actually had any real game mechanics tied to it were Returnal, Ratchet & Clank and Astro's Playroom (not even in Astrobot).
the worst implementation is probably in Spiderman, where some retard at Insomniac thought it was a brilliant idea to make the right trigger feel mushy while swinging... like... wtf?
overall, while far less innovative and while having less potential for interesting mechanics, the Xbox impulse triggers have been far more successfully used over the years.
