Years ago, probably when I was in middle school, I was sharing a hotel room on a school trip with some friends, and we of course took the opportunity to watch some racy movie on HBO or Cinemax or something. All I can remember are a couple of specifics: the main character was a dark-haired female, she was pregnant with a monstrous child that was going to be dangerous if born and probably wasn't entirely human, she decided to keep the baby at the end, and there was a sex scene (between the pregnant woman and I think her husband) with some mild nudity (I want to say a rocking chair was involved, but I can't be sure). It definitely wasn't Rosemary's Baby, though that fits some of the points very well.

Parts of that sound like Demon Seed. Hard to be sure though.

I am searching for a song which I listened to about 10? years ago. I think it was performed by the Toy Dolls, but I am not sure. You can hear someone knocking on a trailer / caravan door. The guy inside opens the door, they greet each other and so on and it develops into a duel between a classic guitar and an electric guitar. It is not duelling banjos. Anyone? xD

Horror movie, several years ago, possibly on SciFi.

In a house where the "Devil" (Howie Mandel-looking guy, if I remember right) haunts all the victims and offers/tempts them with deals to gain control of them. Whoever played the Devil guy actually did a really good job in my recollection, even though the movie was a touch campy.

Pretty funny/campy scene where the Devil walked up a staircase to a black lady who lost her forearm (earlier in the show I guess) with her missing forearm presented to her on a silver platter, to which she holds up her stump and tells him "This is me, giving you the finger."

There's this song I use to listen too ages ago. Can't remember anything other than the music video was at night, had a can with I think a playboy bunny icon. Female singer, and had bunny costume running around

I read a sci-fi novel a few years back, though it was not new at the time. All I remember is that it had at least one sequel, and was a mildly thick book. The main character had a suit of incredibly powerfull white power armor, and used to be part of some elite force that all had the same armor, who were abandoned on a planet to die at the hands of these parasitic local animals. One of them has infected his suit, which increasingly becomes a seperate character throughout the novel. He also has a companion who is a phsycic (teenage, dont really remember) girl. Some of the themes in the book are the increased tencological degradation of the empire, as well as the betrayal of his force. Kinda vague, but if anyone could help me out...

I know i'm probably not going to get a response, but i'd be ecstatic if I finally knew what movie this was. It's been bugging me for years.

First of all, it's entirely french, no english whatsoever from what I can remember. It's about a family trying to find their son, I think. Or the house getting stalked by some creep. It's shot very realistically with no fancy camera motions and long no-cut shoots. I remember a scene with a chicken getting its head cut off, when the dad goes back to the farm he grew up on, I think. I wish I remembered more, but damn.. he works at an office I think.

No one is going to know what this is, but I thought i'd give it a shot any way..

Asked this before but no one knew it, so here goes again:

It was a movie in which a homeless man gets taken in by a small family after they discover he is an amazing runner. It concludes with the man winning a huge race with considerable ease ( in the background is a horse race happening concurrently, which the man is able to outrun). It finishes with the family knowing they pushed him to far and the man lays down and dies ( my memory is hazy, this part might not have happened).

This has been driving me nuts for years. Any suggestion would help.

I need to find out what band this is. A long while back, i remember watching a video on Comcast On Demand, I think. It was a music video of the band (they were a scottish band according to the description) and they were playing in some elementary school classroom. They were sitting down in chairs playing. Music was indie or alternative or something. It was rock music.

That's all I can remember. Help please?

From what I can find it might be the Scottish band Texas, who shot a video in a school, directed by comedian Peter Kay but that's as far as I can get.

Hope I pointed you somewhere.

Strangely, this managed to find the right band and music video, for the wrong reasons.

Frightened Rabbit

I searched "Texas Scottish Band" on youtube, and found the video because the band Frightened Rabbit is Scottish, and happened to be playing at the SXSW festival in... Texas.

Thanks bro.

what is that one song by the Baja Men, one of their bigger ones.. Goes something like, "who let the mmm out? who? who did this?" I can't remember what they're complaining about being let out.. very upbeat song

lol I honestly can't tell if this is a joke or not.

But just in case: "Who Let the Dogs Out"

And in my case: I'm trying to get the name of this current pop song. It's been in the radio a few times and I just heard it played on TV. The artist is female, and as far as lyrics go, she goes "ha" a bunch of times via a stuttering effect. I THINK she says "falling" in the chorus.

Help a brutha out!

EDIT: I'm sure it's in the top 50/100 on iTunes (pop) so I'm fairly certain I'd be able to track it down sooner or later.

EDIT2: Found it. "Lights" by Ellie Goulding

Okay. I'm trying to remember the name of a book/magazine thing that used to be sold on the bookmobile that visited schools back in the 80s. It was thicker stock than a magazine but the content was similar to a magazine, and this one focused on teen/child stars. Sort of like a Bop!/Tiger Beat/Teen Beat, but it wasn't those. I know I had one with Alyssa Milano on the cover from either 87 or 88, but I can't remember the name. The name "fireworks" is what my brain wants to believe, but I can't find anything like that.

Anyone?

Dynamite?

I can't find an image of it, but Alyssa Milano is on the October '87 cover.

Oh I remember that one, memories!

So I have a really really difficult one that I've searched for everywhere, and asked in many forums, maybe here Ill get lucky!

So I'm from Colombia and we have a public channel that transmits national documentaries and educational programs, stuff like that, and I used to see this channel back in the 80s when I was a kid. All of this of course makes it much more difficult, this wasn't something popular or known at all! well this thing I watched was a short animation, with a very peculiar animation style, and with art based on hieronymus bosch's paintings, I think there was actually some of the painting recreated exactly, and it had a really creepy music all the way, and had no speech at all, only the music, the story was really simple and it was like a man on a journey and the things he found, he was wearing a tunic. The credits sequence was of an ocean, in the same style. I think it was french in origin but I'm not certain.

I've already discarded Fantastic Planet, I was really certain it would be that when I read the description but no, its not like Bosch at all and its longer, with dialogs, the art style and animation specially are very similar to the short I watched.

I had to quote this post of myself because, people, I found the damn thing!

I cannot even put into words how happy this makes me, it was this important missing piece of of my childhood, and is there! for me to see over and over! I guess eventually everything will be uploaded to youtube and tagged at one point, today I truly love the internet.

I was right it had a french origin, now I found another video of the same thing but with an introduction in what I guess is some moon language (french, german? no idea) could any kind sir translate what the guy say for me, please? I'll appreciated it very much.

Very happy for Johnny Five above me :D

I'm looking for a movie, but I only really remember one scene. I think it's an urban crime film because I remember nighttime cit/neighborhood shots. Anywhere here's the scene.

A man is falling off of a rooftop in a Hoboken-looking neighborhood. It's nighttime and the camera is following as he's falling. I can't remember whether he's facing the camera, but the camera is aimed down at the street.

He's flailing his arms at first in slow-motion, then it speeds up as he nears the ground before cutting to black.

Pretty sure it's an American film. Saw this one scene when I was young and I think my folks made me leave the room. I know I didn't see the entire thing.

For the longest time I've been trying to figure out the name of this movie I saw flipping through channels. It's basically a blend of Predator and Aliens. Probably someone's wish fulfillment before the actual AVP movies came out. There were commandos going into the jungle to investigate some lab. At some point, I think they were making there way to the lab via rubber rafts. There's some primal alien(s?) lurking about, and there was this technogically advanced alien in a metallic suit.

The only really specific thing I remembered was the ridiculousness of a commando holding an MG42 like it's an assault rifle. That's all I remember.

If someone can get the name, my hat's off to you.

In your memory, does it feel DTV or theatrical?

After searching around and skimming through it on Netflix, I think I found it.

I don't know where the memory of the MG42-thing came from... maybe it was just a general sense of how awkward all the actors held their guns. But everything else I remembered is in there. Completely forgot the "homage" to James Horner's Aliens score.

I posted this in the other thread, but this one seems more alive so I'll repost:

A cartoon I saw as a kid in the 90's.
It's about this ranger, a wildlife expert fighting for animal rights. I think he had an Australian accent. He and his nephews traveled across the globe helping endangered animals and all that crap. They had an airplane shaped like a bird, his nephew was the pilot. They also had an animal sidekick (maybe more, I only remember one) - a talking platypus with a detective hat (I'm sure this one had an Australian accent).

Some scenes I remember:
-them going to London and the platypus making fun of the guards in front of the palace
-them being in Canada and getting in a fight, or a rivalry with a Canadian forest ranger (or whatever they're called, he had a red coat, a hat and rode a horse)
-I remember a scene involving flamingos
-there was a scene on a construction site, where they got in a fight with the workers

I think that's all, my search skills have failed me, so I thought someone here could help me, every few months I remember this show and try to find it, but I think I always end up searching for the same terms, and I get nothing. Anyone know what I'm talking about?

I need help finding a song. I think it was at the end of a movie or show or something.

It sounds somewhat like this piece during 1:25-1:40: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NQXVzg2PiZw

What makes it different than the video above is that it has a woman singing/humming during most of it. It's on the tip of my tongue but I cannot find it!

I can't remember the name of a live action children's show from the early 90's (it may have also been a book series). It featured a boy who was often left to watch over his shit head of a little brother. The episode I remember most had the younger brother kill a pet turtle in an attempt to make turtle soup.

The show may have been on ABC. I'm pretty sure that it was a Saturday morning show, at the very least.

Fudge?

I hated that show

So I found something else from my freaking childhood, maybe some of you have used http://www.midomi.com? well, it never worked for me until today. I'm again in love with the freaking internet!

the song: living on my own Freddy Mercury, I would have never guessed it was him, however it now makes sense.

Freddie's solo stuff is awesome. Love Kills, My Love is Dangerous, Time, it's all good.

I had a GF that loved Living on my Own. Was so cute seeing her sing and dance along. Good times.
