Alright, I've been trying to find the name of this rap music video from my youth. I watched it in high school, but I can't remember the exact year, so it is somewhere in the period of 1998-2002. I want to say that the artist was Canibus, but none of the music videos I have seen online match up to the beat I remember, or what the video looked like.

I wish I could remember more about it, but all I remember is that the rapper is performing in what appears to be an afterlife, or something that resembles ancient Rome (everyone was wearing robes). He is performing in front of a crowd that includes the devil, and at one point in the video the devil is eating pizza while watching him. At the end of the video, a heavenly light descends from above and swallows the rapper, and banishes the devil.

If anyone can help with that super vague, and very speculative memory I would really appreciate it!

I can't remember the name of a live action children's show from the early 90's (it may have also been a book series). It featured a boy who was often left to watch over his shit head of a little brother. The episode I remember most had the younger brother kill a pet turtle in an attempt to make turtle soup.

The show may have been on ABC. I'm pretty sure that it was a Saturday morning show, at the very least.

They made a show out of those books? I read the whole fudge series when I was a kid.

All I really remember of the first one is that the movie opens with a young boy at a train station, and he is given a box. When he opens the box he finds that there is a small dragon inside. He goes to some big house (I think the setting was in England, but I could be wrong) and I think maybe there was a maid or something that hated the dragon, and it slowly grew over time. I'm pretty sure it was before the days of wide-spread CGI, so I'd imagine the dragon was accomplished with some sort of puppetry or something.

I think this is Dragonworld.

Alright, what's this?

Opening shot is a bunch of cartoon bears. It's not Care Bears. There's a wooden fence (they might be sitting around it) in a field (town I think in the background) and they're all singing. It's a movie. It has a really catchy song attached to it. I think it was early-mid 90s.

Not a lot to go off of, but dammit I need to know.

Asked this before but no one knew it, so here goes again:

It was a movie in which a homeless man gets taken in by a small family after they discover he is an amazing runner. It concludes with the man winning a huge race with considerable ease ( in the background is a horse race happening concurrently, which the man is able to outrun). It finishes with the family knowing they pushed him to far and the man lays down and dies ( my memory is hazy, this part might not have happened).

This has been driving me nuts for years. Any suggestion would help.

Anyone know?

Gonna post this one here since it seems to be a more official thread:

All I remember is the music video. It has 4 guys in a snowy covered mountain/hill. All four of them are wearing fur coats with a distinct color each: beige, blue, red, and black IIRC. They basically just walk around and it shows them each on a horse or something. That's all I remember.

I think at least 2-3 years old and I don't remember unfortunately. I tried giving the more specific part about it being the weird music video.

Nope they were wearing big fur coats the entire time. I can at least say that it wasn't heavy metal-ish kind of music hahaha.

RatskyWatsky

Hunky Nostradamus
It's a song from the 80's or 90's with the lyric: Rio Deeee Janeiro! Sorta upbeat and catchy, sung by a female singer. That's all I remember about it.

It doesn't sound like it from some of your description, but could it be U2 - New Year's Day?
Irritatingly, I can't find a link to the original video with them on horseback.

Not sure if this was a real cartoon or something out of my childhood imagination. There was this cartoon that looked like a clone of the Ninja Turtles but the main character had a green "swampy" kinda looking face with a skateboard and a mop. It was also based in the sewers. I think there was a computer game based on it.

Toxic Crusaders!
I seem to remember enjoying the megadrive game too.

I heard a song in passing and I am trying to find the name.

Sounded like something from the disco era, sung by a black dude.

Lyrics went something like:

- I am a man
- I'm just a man
- I am me

Not necessarily in that order.

I can't remember the name of this movie from early 2000's that I saw late at night while very fucked up. It was a foreign (French maybe) movie that involved some kind of VR stuff involving martial arts. What I remember the most was that the main guy turned into Jan Lee (?) from Dead or Alive and fought some giant bald dude in a VR world. It was one of the most cheesiest/greatest things I have seen in my life and would love to see it again before I die.

There is a movie I think from the early nighties I used to like a lot in which the son of the devil is looking for something and killing everyone on his path. There was a scene at the beginning where a girl gives birth to him. I have no idea what the name is. I always wanted to rewatch it.

Attention all NeoGAF employees!
I'm looking for the name of a song from this episode of a Swedish show that none of you have probably ever heard of.
It can be heard at the 38:39 mark of this episode: http://www.kanal5play.se/#!/play/program/223047/video/247056|/program/223047/video/247056
(And also at 37:30)

I can't make out what he's singing and so I can't google it. It sounds a little like "and I know that someday (???)", but I haven't found anything.
If anyone could help me out I'd be ever so greatful.

Someone help me remember the name of this show.

It was a show for kids during the 80s I think. There was this red truck that could fly (it had something like a balloon on it's back). There were kids inside in blue uniforms plus one old man that drove it. I remember it had a very catchy intro song.

Alright, there was this show in the early 90's that involved a gundam type figure going into a network (or a grid like environment) and fighting different monsters. He was mostly white, skinny, and had a blaster and possibly a sword. I got the action figure when I was little, and I might still have it if I can dig it up later today.

There was this show on cartoon network that featured dogs as crime fighting superheroes. I remember it airing around the same time as freakazoid and swat cats...Anyone know what I'm talking about?

I just had an amazingly horrifying dream and I swear it was based on a movie which was based on a true story.

It was about this man captured or imprisoned in some foreign country and he escapes.

I guess, since this is early morning, after-dream nonsense I would love movies with such a premise. Anyone know of any?

midnight express. it is not a pleasant movie, but is a good one.

Please someone help me remember the name of a 90s movie (maybe late 80s) about a father who sees his daughter's ghost. He is haunted by guilt or something. She appears to him. I think she died in a car accident. I'ts a movie I saw and love when I was little. I'd like to rewatch it.

The Changeling?
The main character's wife and daughter die in a car accident in the first five minutes, then he's haunted by a the ghost of a different child, while dealing with his guilt.

There is a film I remember affecting me deeply as a kid, and I have pretty much accepted that I'll never find it since I can only half-remember the vaguest of details. I feel like I would recognize it the instant I saw it, though.

Like, it's about two kids, or maybe they're young teenagers, and they're either both female or one of them is male, and they're either super-close friends or in (puppy?) love with each other. I think they had a connection at this house and then they're split apart somehow, maybe they write each other letters. (Or maybe they don't!) It's like really sad in the end and I associate the words "purple" and "house" with the film but that hasn't really yielded me any fruits on the google yet. It's in color and English for sure, probably from the 80s or (early) 90s.

Yeah, I know. I know.

Any chance it's the TV movie "Love Letters" from 1999? It seems to share the separation and contact via correspondence.

There was this one cartoon I remember watching as a kid. Problem is, I literally don't remember anything from it bar just one vague memory of a scene. If I recall correctly, it was the two main characters, who I think was a kid and his dog (who was anthropomorphic) behind some type of fort (like a snow fort or a pillow fort) and throwing something at someone off screen (I think) while saying "Go a-way!".

That's literally all I can remember other than it probably being on Cartoon Network.

Ok so, years ago as a kid i used to stay up at night and watch whatever was on with my older brother, and sometimes we'd stumble upon what at the time i considered pretty obscure and cool movies (because they used to do this kind of stuff only at night).
There are two in particular, that i barely remember, but i'm struggling to, and have been for years.
They probably are not even that good, but it's one of those things in the back of your head and i need to find them before getting in the grave.

What i remember from the first film:
- road movie kind of deal, with the character going through a journey.
- i don't remember the exact setting, but the destination at one point was the Stonehenge, so around those parts (UK and such), they also took a ferry and in general it was a cold and humid place.
- a blonde girl in her 20s (i think) a boy in his 20s and an old lady were the main characters (the girl being the central one).
- she had a sister, in her 20s too, but with a mental problems, with the mind of a child, and she lived in a mental institute (as their parents lost custody).
- the girl (protagonist) and her sister had been abused by the father.
- there was some kind of awkward love story between the boy and the girl throughout the movie (the boy was a white dude with dreadlocks, i think, kind of hippie, very timid, introvert fellow)
- in one scene they stop to sleep at the girl's uncle, which lived in an appartment full of little birds in cages (parrots and so forth); during the night he tries to molest the girl, but basically they kick his butt and open all the cages, letting all the birds escape.
- probably a movie for TV, didn't look like a big budget movie, but i could be remembering wrong.
- there's a scene where the girl and the boy are bathing in a river/lake and something (insect/fish) gets into the dude's underwear, making him freak out (again, memory is VERY fuzzy).
- the movie was definitely set in the 90's or early 00's, so relatively recent.

There, can't remember anything else.

Second one i remember even less, unfortunately.

- Set either in either Germany or some eastern European country.
- Farly sober and dry tone.
- It's night, there's this young dude (late 20s?) fucking with his girlfriend in his car, when a group of men drags him out of the car and beats him up with sticks and bats, basically destroying his junk.
- The films goes on and basically the young dude befriends one of the attackers (an older, fat, balding man); one night he catches him alone and, wearing a skymask, messes him up badly with a huge sledgehammer.
- Days later he greets him at the usual pub, initially acting shocked by the state of his "friend" only to, moments later, reveal himself and all the story behind his actions.
- The setting of this COULD be in the late 80's, but i think it's also set in the 90's/early 00's.

Sounds vaguely like Calvin and Hobbes, but that's a tiger, not a dog... and it was a comic, not a cartoon. Hmm...

Probably, definitely not it.

I'm trying to remember this messed up movie I saw as a kid where a family adopts a boy who goes on to kill the family or do strange messed up things to them. Kind of a dark take on Childs Play. Came out in mid to late 90's and might have been a lifetime movie but I'm not sure. Kid had red hair I believe but other than that everything is pretty vague.

I've got a challenge! I'm looking for a music video, except I don't know the artist, song title, or any lyrics! All I remember is visual stuff (and liking the song). I even asked MTV, and they couldn't figure it out!

It came on MTV's Clubland show in 2012. It seems recent, released that year or a bit earlier. It is a dance/electronic music video. There is a man singing the lyrics, and he is in the video. The singer is on a dark stage/set with bright lights behind him. So, the background is black except for these bright lights. The singer dances around a bit on the stage, but you only see his silhouette. At the end of the song, the music kind of cuts and repeats for a bit (my favorite part of the song).

I'm going nuts looking for this video! If anybody has an idea of what this video/song could be, I'd be grateful for the info!

Childs Play wasn't dark enough for you? :p

I'll go with Problem Child or The Good Son

I can't remember the name of this song but it goes like this: da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da (rinse and repeat).

Anyone?
