I really love the added memory of ATI cards plus the cheaper price point. But how will it hold on in a four year stretch? Also, I fear ATI loses on the physics department
since they don't come with in-built physics support/engine like nVidia's Phys-x support.
I really don't know how hat effects games, but it seems nVidia has 4 areas that ATI doesn't on top of a pure gaming card: Phys-x, CUDA, 3D and multiple display. THough, I'm only interested in the Phys-x part as I won't use the rest nor does CUDA concern me as a gamer.
PS. I am not a PC geek, so I don't know if I even got that right. >_<'
PPS. I'll only be playing in 1080p.
I ask because I read a review about the 580 and it said it had more power than a gamer would use and so I would be basically throwing away money for something I won't use.
