D Docpan Member Dec 7, 2004 #1 ? I bought it for FFXI. Hated it. Now it's just sitting in my closet. I have some stuff I need to back up. Can I plug the hdd into my comp, and format it so I can put my important files on it? Has anyone tried it? Thanks.

I ask because I know the ps2 hdd is a modified Maxtor, but I wasn't sure if Windows would detect it or not. I'll take your word for it. I can format it by right-clicking from My Computer, right?
