I think one of the reasons why Tebow has been winning in the NFL and college football is his belief in God. You might not agree with his beliefs (I don't), but you have to realize that they do help him in his career.

Believing in a set of rules and following them often strengthens people, provides them with a clear mindset and the focus on the task at hand. Tebow believes that Jesus is his savior and that belief gives him strength to go on and accomplish many things in life. Religion can inspire individuals (in good and bad ways) and that shouldn't shock anyone. It doesn't mean that God willed that fieldgoal or forced a fumble. But when you keep working hard, things sometimes manage to go your way. This line of reasoning isn't only limited to Religion, and can be applied to many other doctrines or systems.

Hitler is an example of a guy who had a clear mind set and knew what he wanted to do based on his beliefs and that helped him. (in horrible horrible ways) I am not saying that Tebow is Hitler... but I am showing two examples at the different ends of the spectrum.

In fairness, from what I've heard he's a super nice guy. As I said, my family has come into contact with him quite a few times: my brother in law was a manager at one of the better restaurants in GNV and Tebow came in quite a bit and was a good tipper.

My niece came up to him and asked him nicely if she could have an autograph and another player said "dude, we can't do that..." and Tebow said "what am I supposed to do? She's just a little girl, give it a break" and signed a bunch of shit....

Uh, people are calling him out on it like mad and no one with any intelligence at all believes him.

You DO realize that people in the media spotlight lie 24/7, right? They have to, because they have an image to maintain. No image, no interest, no spotlight.

You'd have to be incredibly deluded to think that yes, THIS time the celebrity is telling the truth when the rest all lied.

They said he wouldn't be a starting QB int he pros.

I think their point was that nobody is claiming direct KNOWLEDGE of him lying about his virginity. Is he a fake? I don't know. I haven't seen any evidence yet though.

Personally I don't care what he believes. I'm not a Broncos fan and my Lions beat them. That's what I care about with regard to Tebow. Everything else is fluff. But even though a lot of people are acting like he CAN'T be genuine as far as I know that is all they're saying, rather than offering direct evidence. I assume if there was someone who claimed knowledge of his phoniness we'd hear about it.

There's absolutely no way any evidence would exist. This isn't President Clinton and his Semen-stained dresses. No one REALLY cares about his claims except for people who want to believe them.

However, there reaches a point when it's just naive to say "there's no evidence". There's no evidence that Justin Bieber's virginity claims are true either, but you'd have to be inbred to believe he's not doing Selena every night.

He's one of those people that (at least for me) you can stand for completely different things, but he's never a douche about it. Especially coming from the south where everyone wants to make your stance into a personal battle against them, it's a breath of fresh air.

I don't think Bieber comes off QUITE as genuine as Tebow does. Is he a virgin? Meh, I don't honestly care. Do I think it's possible? Sure, why not? People who claim that there is NO WAY don't seem to have good self control. It's really a matter of how genuinely religious Tebow is and that is something no one knows but him.
 
I don't know why this is even a discussion. Everyone knows the Packers will crush anyone they face at the Superbowl. There's really no need to worry. :)

I had never heard of Tebrow until this thread, but he seems like a pretty cool guy. I have a feeling that I'd want to punch a good number of his fans in the throat, but that goes for almost any fandom.

what is this i don't even.... Tebow is a feel good story for fellow god fearing people. It's nice to see someone we think is genuinely good to have success...

but to instill violence? anyone who does that is already crazy and just using tebow as an excuse.

I'm standing by my theory that Tebow will trigger the end of days when he wins the Superbowl. Even if the end times doesn't come and he gets a win, I can't think of an evangelical christian that would have a bigger stage.
