(If you are) Why are you getting an XBox One?

Killer Instinct (huge KI fan)
COD:Ghosts(dedicated Servers)
Crimson Dragon (huge Panzer Dragoon fan)
TitanFall (COD4+Quake style multiplayer)

I'll be picking up the PS4 at launch, but waiting for a price drop with the X1. I'm certain I'll be getting an X1 at some point, so I guess I still count? I'll be skipping Titanfall as a reason, despite it looking amazing, because I'll also probably be getting it on the PC.

01: Dead Rising 3 looks very fun

02: I'm a Remedy fanboy, so I'll need Quantum Break

03: I'll want to play the new Halo when it's out

04: While i'm not completely sold yet, Ryse: Son of Rome does looks interesting and hopefully it turns out good

There's really nothing about the console itself, that interests me more than the PS4. But then again, games are the most important thing at the end of the day and there're definitely some exclusives on the X1 that really interest me.

I'm getting an Xbox One at launch and I'll wait until Xmas to get a PS4.

- The launch titles are better. (Forza 5, Ryse, Titanfall, Quantam Break, Dying Light)
- I want to play third party games like BF4 & FIFA 14 on Xbox One as i played BF3 & FIFA 13 on the 360.
- Same goes for the Assassins Creed series.
- The 360 was probably my most played console of the current gen, although i do love them all.
- The controller looks pretty boss.

That being said i can't wait to get a PS4 and even a Wii U as well, i like having all the consoles!

Xbox has proven itself to me over the past 6 years and I have no doubts in the xbox ones ability, I know they will deliver. I still remember all the hype from e3 pre ps3 launch then the year of apologising an shit that followed. If I get a ps4 it will be after its out in the wild an proven.

But seriously, for the system itself (3 OSes) and especially Dead Rising 3. I was amazed by the E3 demo.

And also, for the continuation of my gamertag (friendlist, achievements).

2 of the 5 launch titles you list ain't launch titles. Dying light is multiplat

I prefer the MS exclusives.
Co-workers are going Xbox too.
I get a discount, and free fifa is nice.
Like the controller (and can use it on PC).

I feel awful as I hate kinnect, MS's attitude towards gamers, the specs, and the price.....so I'll probably be picking up a PS4 next year too.

I wont buy consoles this year since i have new gaming pc and x360 (gta5). but later i plan to buy XB1

- i prefer xb1 games
- friends
- kinect
- better MP - at least this gen

Kinect is actually one of main reasons. It brings something i cannot expirience on PC. I use kinect1 for fitness almost daily during cold days.
Actually i might get xb1 on ASAP if good fitness game gets announced.
That or new proper Gears

Because for me reading the reasons in this thread make far more sense to me than the reasons in the corresponding PS4 thread infact most of the reasons in that thread seem more to do with the XB1 than the actual PS4!

I particulary enjoyed this nugget

I've noticed a lot of people listing actual announced games and features as reasons for buying an XB1 whereas like you said, people's reasoning for getting a PS4 are based around the blind hope that it will have good exclusives years from now and the fact that it isn't an XB1.

The exclusives are simply better on the X1.

They make games that respect my time allowing me to trade in real money for faster game completion.

The power of the cloud ensures I get the most value for my money.

Kinect offers so many possibilities. I was always gungho about advertisers getting more specific details about my habits and soliciting me with their wares.

- Xbox Live Service, better for multiplayer game
- Friends
- Halo series
- Forza MotorSport series
- Remedy games
- Kinect
- Best Controller

I will buy games:

- Forza MotorSport 5
- Watch Dogs
- Call of Duty: Ghost
- Battlefield 4
- TitanFall
- The Division
- Destiny
- Quantum Break
- Crimson Dragoon
- Fable Legends

I hope in the future in a new title of Project Gotham Racing.

:)

Because my friends are and playing with them is the main reason i game.

Also for my sins Halo, i still hope they can pull it back from the brink and make a good game.

Better be there at Launch KP - I need a co-op buddy for Dead Rising 3!

Better launch line up for me - PS4 can wait.

Yeah I noticed that. I don't mean to derail the thread but there's a lot of bitterness in that thread and a lot of reasons boil down to a pissing contest as opposed to wanting the platform for its best features/hardware.

If Forza wasn't launch I'd be waiting, but...

Forza 5 at launch, way better launch lineup IMO, and the Kinect/TV functions actually sound cool to me AND my Wife.

I am going to get both PS4 and Xbox One, but am gonna go with Xbox One at Launch for that Day One Achievement. It is silly, but that combined with the fact that Infamous isn't out at launch has me going with Xbox One.

Plus the launch game exclusives have me more excited than the exclusives on Playstation 4. I want Ryse, Killer Instinct, & Dead Rising 3. Pretty excited.

I,m seriously thinking about it. From the games that I've seen so far, I like them better. As well as the controller.

It's bound to though, the thread is 3 times longer than this one lol

e: 4 times, my bad!

I'm going to end up with both but I have swapped to an XBOX One at launch.

- Friends are all getting XB1 and we always game together
- CoD dedicated servers
- Controller
- No need for PS+ from the off (saving the cost of £40)
- I like Live and the stability of the service
- Dead Rising 3
- Forza 5
- Titanfall
- Free FIFA 14

Of all the games I was going to get on the PS4 zero of them were exclusive to that platform (Watch Dogs, BF4, Ghosts). No matter the hardware it's about games and it simply has more games I want to play.

I know the PS4 is more powerful, but let's be honest Forza 5 does not look rubbish so I'm sure the console will be fine.

Because Microsoft truly cares about gamers.
lol

I am getting the Xbox One because I think I will get more money flipping my launch PS4 than the Xbox One, the launch lineup is superior, and Kinect.

The Controller, next-gen Gears of War and of course, Titanfall!

EDIT: Also, Xbox Live becuase of my friends.

SAT, the unbeatable SAT of Microsoft. is simply unbelieve how a near-perfect SAT response to the ROD in 360 could unbalance my next gen decision.

I'm not picking a one up at launch because I have other priorities (Like buying a new car) which will be expensive enough. But it's on my to-do list for next year simply because there's more games that appeal to me like Forza and Killer Instinct and I've always had a soft spot for consoles that try do something different than just be a raw power machine.

Now where's my PGR and Crimson Skies sequels, Microsoft?

Outside of the fact they are still charging you to access FREE third party apps i don't see many big problems with the XB1.

Still getting a PS4 though

I'm getting one because I have about $300 in microsoft points/currency to spend.

I also think it has a better launch lineup than PS4. I have a launch PS4 preordered as well, but will probably sell it if there's a market and grab it later.

Simple.

The Xbox One has all of the games that I'm most interested in and want to play:

Titanfall
Halo 5
Quantum Break
Sunset Overdrive
Dead Rising 3
Forza Motrorsport 5
Killer Instinct
Project Spark
Call of Duty: Ghosts (garaunteed dedicated servers)
Ryse: Son of Rome
Fable: Legends

It also has the superior controller (IMO), and I like the look of the OS and how responsive it is. Kinect 2.0 also looks like a major improvement over its predecessor.

I haven't decided if I'll keep my PS4 pre-order or not, as the only game I really want on the system so far is Killzone: Shadow Fall, but I'm definitely snagging the Xbox One day one.

Titanfall
Halo
Ryse
Dedicated servers (huge)
Forza 5
Kinect voice control

I like their list of games for vs the ps4's. I'm getting both though

X1 for me.

Controller
Exclusives 1st party games
Kinect
Online experience

I'll get a ps4 when Rime is released and its as epic as it looks.

Mostly for the games

Ki, Dead Rising, Forza and Titanfall are between my most anticipated

Also, thinking about the current gen, the 360 was my console of choice for multiplatforms, online and above all the controller, so i'm trusting microsoft this time

Looking forward to Kinect 2.0.

My six year old and his friends love the holy Hell out of Star Wars Kinect, Kinect Sports and Kinect Party, Fruit Ninja.

My wife and my son both love Dance Central.

Personally, I love Halo and Gears games.

I'll probably wait until Christmas '14 because Kinect Sports Rivals got delayed, and there isn't a DC, Halo or Gears game coming out yet.

New tech,

Awesome respect for MS for what they did with the 360.

Exclusive games. Halo, Crimson Dragon, D4, etc.

That new controller!

I'll be buying the X1 sometime next year. The reasons wy being:

Proven efficient online service
Great launch line up
Best first year releases with Halo, Titanfall, Below etc.
Intriguing multi media plans.
Twitch, Skype access.

Forza.

My son wants one anyway, if the Fanatec wheels don't work I've only lost the price of the game but if they can be made to work I'll be picking a second console up for myself.

Won't be picking a PS4 up, not until it's GT time.

I'm getting it:
Xbox was my fav platform this gen
I prefer the controller (did this gen anyway)
Because I can
A also getting ps4, so can play any exclusive on either
My wife enjoys the kinect dance games
Halo, gears
Prevent me from missing out on anything cool, basically.

- Online gaming experience carried over from XBL on 360 + New matchmaking, dedicated servers and reputation system

- Windows Ecosystem (Hopefully new indies will show interest and also help push the Windows store as the 3rd mobile ecosystem with Android and iOS)

- Exclusives I am interested in:
Sunset Overdrive, Halo, Forza Motorsport, Killer Instinct, Quantum Break, Crimson Dragon, etc.

- Casual audience benefiting from Kinect 2: Kinect Sports Rivals, Just Dance 4 and hopefully new fun apps like Karaoke and Kinect Labs

- Improved gesture and motion control for UI navigation

Most people I play with are staying with Xbox. I have an active Gold sub. Titles they've shown thus far look more appealing to me. Interested in Kinect even if only for navigating the UI with voice and gestures, logging in etc.

Little things that didn't really sway the decision but that I like are the design of the box and UI. I'm a WP user so I'm fond of the tiles and what not.

I plan on picking up a PS4 mid 2014. I'm interested in it, but the Xbox just has my attention.
