[IGN]: Astro Bot is the #1 Wishlisted Game During Summer Game Fest Period, Eclipsing Doom, Gears if War, and Perfect Dark.

Makes sense as a good-looking game that can also be played by kids.

EDIT: Wow. 7 of the top 10 are on Game Pass. Also, the other 9 games besides Astro Bot were featured at the Xbox Showcase.

I think this will be a guaranteed hit both in terms of sales and reception. Kinda funny how they said "No big first party franchise releases in the upcoming year". It's possible Astro might go on to become one the biggest in their roster if the game does well.
 
I haven't been this excited for a Sony game since the PS2 days.

I'm not trying to jump the gun but I really feel like this will end up being my GOTY.
 
Listen, us guys with younger kids who love PlayStation were starving for Sony to put out some big-budget family friendly games. Astro Bot is going to be huge, and I think Lego Horizon Adventures is going to be a big hit as well. Sony has been ignoring this section of their audience for a while.

I mean, anyone who has played Astro Bot Rescue Mission and Astro's Playroom knows that this is probably going to be a masterpiece.
It turns out that people like games that are, above all else, fun.
 
I'm really trying not to spoil myself by watching Astro Bot previews but I honestly just can't help it. This is genuinely the first 3D platformer I've ever seen that looks like it has the gameplay, polish, and personality that could rival a 3D Mario game.

Mario is my favorite game series of all-time, so the fact that there's finally a true competitor in the AAA space is the most exciting thing ever to me.

(Btw, that's not to say there haven't been other good 3D platformers in the past, but literally nothing has ever hit the heights of Mario Galaxy, Mario 64, Odyssey, etc.)

Astro Bot is my fuckin BOY! I seriously can't wait for this.

Becuase is a game that "screams" FUN from every side. And that is what people want from a videogame, no more no less.

It's the only game I have pre-ordered as of right now.

Astro's Playroom is the best experience i've had this generation and it's an experience that only lasts a few hours and is free.

This game is going to be GOTY material.
 
No wonder, it looks like a game where gameplay is king, like your average Nintendo game. Not the usual walking simulator Sony is so fond of, made by people that would rather be working in the movie industry. No tiresome talk about narrative, messaging and representation.

I'll get it when it comes on PC.
