Res Evil and Atomic Heart 2 looked pretty good to me.

Also thought the Dying Light game looked good, will be interested to see how that pans out and how it looks on console.

Developers of Soulslike games must be worried about how many games they're competing with. I wonder how many publishers think the market must be saturated now.

Overall though, even though I skimmed through this show, trying to avoid Geoff Keighley, I think this is a terrible excuse for a show. Must just go for the YouTube playlist next time.

I dont know, i think its good that 96% of the time this show just shows.. games and thats it. I like this format vs. half the show devs talking about some corporate shill points. For me its a solid B.

One of the worst shows I've ever seen. Not even a RE9 reveal could save it. The market is just full of Soulslikes now and 50% of these shows are either Soulslikes or Gacha ads.

The State of Play was better.

It needed a pre-show for the indies and then the main show to be cut by 30 minutes (or up to an hour).

TGAs has an excuse for it's pacing due to also being an award show. There are no awards here so when they were talking and doing bits between trailers it just felt a bit meandering.

The show's pacing being worked on would make for a huge difference. Geoff's team should really study from Sony, Nintendo, and Xbox's showcases.

C. Lot's of boring stuff that I didn't care.

RE9, Onimusha, GoT RTS and the two new Atomic Heart games grabbed my attention. Everything else was unremarkable for me.

B from me. Plenty of games I wanted to play and RE9. If RE9 wasn't there it would be C.

F, as it is the lowest score. Would rate it z if that existed. Probably the worst show I have ever watched. Even ubi E3 shows were better

C

Some awesome stuff in there. Resi 9 of course, but also seeing that "ILL" is still alive and kicking, looking every bit as amazing as in the old trailers.. Very cool.
I remember seeing the reveal trailer and thinking it's too good to be true, and I still get those vibes. If it ends up looking 60% as good as the new trailer, that's gonna be a very exciting game.

The doll-boxing game looked really cool too. And Atomic Heart 2!

In isolation I think there were probably a few good games in there, but my eyes were too glazed over to care. It was boring as fuck.

Sure, it's just not really a show, that's what I'm getting at. Nobody goes to the cinema to watch the trailers. Nobody would think the trailers at the cinema would be better with a personality vacuum saying how proud they were to press play for you before each trailer started.

If this show was just back to back trailers with zero presenters it'd be better (it'd be shorter for a start, and you could skip to the next game as soon as you realised something wasn't for you)- that's what I mean about just waiting for the YouTube playlist.

Since you don't enjoy videogames, may I suggest finding another hobby that you do enjoy?
There were a few games in the show I liked. There are thousands not in the show I like.

I'm rating the show. I'm not reviewing the games or anything else. The pacing of the show, all aspects of the show. F -.

Should I stop watching this show? Yes.

It is just too long. I think it is an average for me. If not for 2h, I would probably rate it higher but it failed to keep me engaged for that long. Even RE9 reveal did not help.

Better than Sony, but I feel we need Phil to save us
It wasn't better than State of Play by a golden mile.

This was the worst one yet. Indie showcase with the odd sprinkle of major publisher.

Really can't be arsed with Geoff now. I take the time every summer and winter to watch his shows in the hopes I'll be really excited and I end up watching old videos of E3 because I miss genuine excitement and the standard of games being announced and shown.

But it's fookin awsome

Call of Duty devs right now

B+ for me personally.so much to look forward to in 2026 that interests me.
Much better than I thought it was going to be.

Project century
ILL
RE 9
Onimusha
LOP dlc
That teen memories skater game looked kool too.

I didn't watch live so I skipped a load of the shit chatting about games that don't interest me

E3 had its faults to say the least but imo it was better when the publishers had their own conferences during the week.

Geoff has too much influence on these things, complete filler shows to rake in the ad revenue. His constant focus on Kojima year after year is getting jarring.

I appreciate the game awards to an extent , it feels like a pre Christmas E3 and that's where is his presence should be. He's got yet another Gamescom , will that be another repeat like today?

If this is what the games industry is like outside the established companies who can call upon their now decades old franchises then well, it's over to be honest.

It had some cool announcements, but it was mostly just cutscenes rather than in game. I want to know more about that Game of Thrones RTS, if they were smart it will be like the Battle for Middle Earth games.

Biggest issue I had with the show was the constant interruptions between trailers. I mean I am fine with a stage segment every 2-4 trailers, but having a 1-2 minute introduction to a 2-3 minute trailer and then a 1-2 minute follow up really hurt the pacing of the show and this is why I'm rating it a D-.

The games shown were okay.

Outside of Stranger than Heaven, Ill, RE9, Mina the Hollower, Lego Party, Onimusha, and a few other games I'm anticipating, I was not impressed at all. I was bored to tears. There were some potentially interesting games drowned out by pointless filler. I also think how the trailers were presented doesn't give most of these games justice. They seem to be rushed with lots of CG and footage that goes by so fast, I cannot process much of what is going on. A lot of the games kind of blend together too. Now I sound negative. Stranger than Heaven has me the most excited though!

Was half watching it and nothing really stood out to me other than RE9. Onimusha looked good though and curious on Atomic Heart 2.

Maybe a D for RE, otherwise it would be a straight F.

Apart from some good Single Player title reveals
there were crazy amount of online multiplayer crapshit titles

I give it a C

Aside from boobs and ass and UE5 visuals giving the industry a semblance of quality, this is the worst videogame show I can recall.
It was funny how many times there was an anime behind followed by guns and ammo.

With the exception of a few titles, it was hard to distinguish between games.

My backlog rejoices.
