its sad because i just knew with gta6 out of the way gk was going to have big stuff but nope rgg and re9 fun but its still a c for me

It reminded me of old E3 conferences, just with ads in place of business talk. There were things I care about and things I really don't.

If we are talking about best reveals... A

Stranger Than Heaven - S
Lies of P Overture - A
Atomic Heart II - A
ILL - A

*Had a lot of D-tier reveals I now do not remember.

It remind me of old E3 still not at the same quality but this is miles better then past conference i've seen him run. No ads, no political agenda types, no celebrities, it was just games which is all i want to see. That being said......

Alot of CGI, rouge-lite games which im kinda growing tired of seeing, Gacha games etc. But that being said the games that i liked....

Lego voyager
end of abyss
ILL
Into the Unwell
stranger than heaven

all looked really fun and interesting. Although my favorite game that i saw wasn't even at the show. it was the next show after, and indie game.

they made goose game, but this game concept looked really unique , and looks like alot of fun.

What I think of Summer Game Fest:

Awful waste of time.

ILL looked amazing, as did the Resident Evil Requiem reveal.

Atomic Heart 2 is looking like potentially a very strong sequel.

Death Stranding 2's trailer was as much a nothingburger as Ghost of Yotei's trailer the other day.

We already knew Onimusha: Way of the Sword was coming in 2026.

Was so disappointed at how downgraded Stranger Than Heaven was from the Project Century reveal.

Everything else was absolute trash.

Show was saved by Mads Mikkelsen introducing the Casino Royale Hitman 3 DLC.

I give it a C because it seemed like there a lot of PC timed exclusive games. Like the one game by Square Enix Killer Inn looks like it ls going PC first which usually is Sony for them.

I had a feeling it would suck, because Xbox and Playstation drained off good stuff for their own shows. Geoff got the leftovers. And plus, it always sucks.

I had a very good nap during the show, so I'll give it an A. Just kidding, I didn't see the show, so I won't vote. Don't want to meddle with science.

Haven't finished watching it, so won't give it a grade yet, but I think that alone kinda tells the story, no?

Some cool and good games there, but the amount of gacha, roguelike and soulslike slop being dropped on the daily needs to be fuckung culled already. Literally was rolling my eyes everytime one of those appeared.

And of course Square Enix gets the award of worst trailer in the show, that murder game they had somehow makes Foamstars look like a TGA award winner. Imagine this being what survived Kiryu's project cancellation spree!

I enjoyed it. Not every game listed is going to be a game that I care about, but there were enough that caught my eye.

Honestly, it seemed bad while watching but there were actually some good games shown.

I had a feeling they were going to do that with RE9. I was really hoping they weren't, because I don't care about the game, so the finale was a let down for me. I'm usually more into the games throughout the show than the big reveal anyway, because it's usually some AAA single player narrative game that I don't care for.

B at first due to RE9 , Onimusha and ILL

Then turned to A after I saw Wuchang official trailer with a banger soundtrack

Pretty bad I must say. Besides the new RGG game and RE9 nothing really interesting for me. I liked the Sony state of play much more.

But that's the problem, Sony get some good announcements and Microsoft probably will also have some, so all the stuff that didn't find a spot in these other 2 events ended up here.

It was kinda meh, at least based on my preferences. No actual gameplay from RE9; don't care about russian games; new "Yakuza" looks cool, but it's still far away from release; will play Jurassic World Evolution 3, but in no hurry to do that; Dying Light trailer was decent, but nothing spectacular; I have no interest in soulslikes; more milking of the Game of Thrones franchise.

Gave it an E. RE9 looks good, but I literally fell asleep during the show. Woke up an hour after it ended and I missed RE9.

Only sae the first half. Fell asleep after, not necessarily because of the show. Some interesting things there and will watch the rest soon. I really liked that Mio metroidvania.

I only watchet the trailers the day after so i'm more positive than most:

Solid B+

Ill look otherwordly good
Same for atomic heart 2
Onimusha look good
Lies of p shadowdrop
The boxe game look super peculiar
Oh and re9 was there...

Ill and ah2 alone make the show a B but i guess it's not the same for most people.

So people expect SGF to make games out of thin air ? It's not their fault Sony and MS have less things to show this gen and prefers to keep for their presentations.

If SGF could only rely on third party than it was a solid B.

You can critic MS, Sony or Nintendo for a bad show. How can we be mad at a "Showcase" of games other Devs are making. It had pretty good games I got excited for.

I would say C. Nothing astounding but i think it's far more watchable than SGF 2 or 3 years ago that was just filled with stupid indie garbage for 3 hours straight, just for an Elden Ring trailer.

It's the same observation for me every show. I think people are too harsh now and they weren't harsh enough before. Is it because their patience is running out while mine ran out 3 years ago ? I don't know.

I don't have much expectations for gaming and i think there was enough content. RE9, Atomic Heart 2, Ill, Onimusha, Stranger Than Heaven, Wuchang, the Wu-Tang game, Into The Unwell, Lies of P DLC, even Mortal Shell 2 (and i hate the first one but the trailer was great)...again nothing incredible but it wasn't terrible either.

I think is a waste of time.

How much sponsorships did Dorito pope earned?

The stage and all that crowd hosting, seems expensive, but it delivers nothing you cant get from youtube trailer drops..

Shit, I missed this.
Just watched the IGN-norant round up.
Everything looked pretty cool tbh.
Only thing I'd say is that there's a distinct homogenized look to a lot of titles.
I can't tell all these feudal Japan, Samurai /Ninja games apart.
Lot of third person shooters look similar too.
But overall, I think there was some promising looking stuff.

Hero Shooters that won't last long, Zombies survival fps games and mobile anime F2P games from china. That was like 90% of the conference. The AAA video game landscape is fucking boring.

Some peoples really think this was an A show?

Jesus Christ, no standards

I'm honestly floored by how disconnected I am from these people.

This was easily the worst gaming presentation I've ever seen.

Even Onimusha which I plan on buying at some point looked for the first time lackluster...

Really good. RE9 with a release date(top 3 fave franchise), Mortal Shell 2, Lies of P shadow dropped expansion, Onimusha, Arc Raiders release date, Stranger than Heaven(still looks amazing), ILL(best of show for me), and End of Abyss(looks awesome).

B cause there was still a lot of fodder. But better than I thought it would be.
