Sony went to a lot of trouble promoting console exclusive Silent Hill 2 on PS5, and it looks like it’s paid off: according to GSD data, as shared on the GI.biz Microcast, a whopping 78% of the game’s European sales were purchased on the PlayStation platform. The remaining 22% were purchased on PC.
This data incorporates both physical and digital sales, although it doesn’t cover the entire continent; UK sales are excluded, for example. Still, it’s a good indication of how the game’s trending.
Regardless, the game is off to a great start overall, comfortably outselling both The Callisto Protocol and Alan Wake 2’s launches in Europe – although it’s a little bit behind the Dead Space remake
