Started a fresh game. Missing out on that cutscene and connectivity really fucking irked the shit outta me

I don't care. Game is amazing. And I'll be doing it all over again when it comes to the 5 (hopefully in March lol)

I was playing and just at the beggining, when you have to fix the exhibit, I was looking at the Syrian flag and was like 'Hey, this just happened, did they really put the new...' because the until recently previous one was two stars.

Then went fast to check because I suddenly knew MachineGames would go like that.

Yep, they used period correct flags in the exhibits depicting the Syrian Republic of that time, same as with the rest of the countries.

I can't seem to take screenshots with the PC Game Pass version in this game no matter what I try. I mean.....just simple "print screen" button isn't working. Looking up all kinds of various print screen short cuts. Nothing.

I did a fresh install of the game and a few differences i have noticed with the day one patch.

The cutscenes are now totally smooth, no more juddery animation.

They seem to have done some optimization on the vram requirements. I have a 8gb 3070, and the game is using about 1gb less vram on the settings i were using (1440p. DLSS Quality, max settings with texture pool on medium, and shadows on high). Its using around 6.5gb vram compared to around 7.5gb before. It also defaulted to Medium texture pool instead of Low, which it picked pre-patch. So its using around 1gb less vram, even though i have the texture pool on Medium instead of Low, and shadows on High instead of Medium, all other settings maxed.

Also could be a placebo effect but i think the LOD on the shadows has been pushed out a touch further, although there is a console command to extend that anyway.

It is just way too niche of a genre with a character that younger gamers have no connection with. Enjoy this game while you can because the industry is no longer making them like this

Edit- the game has seemingly peaked tonight with just over 8k on Steam. Hopefully Gamepass picks up the slack

The game is very sharp / clean looking on console. Performance is also super smooth and not noticing any hitches on camera cuts, looks like the day 1 patch has ironed that out pretty well.

I'm gonna enjoy this.

Woke is having the lesbian character be a better Indiana Jones than Indiana Jones. If that's not happening, then no one gives a shit.

I'm at the first meeting with her in the tent and while Gina and Dame whatshername are both a little bit smug as indy clowns around with the snake, he is the one putting it all together.

I've punched out probably 100+ fascists to Gina's one, I can live with that ratio

Its a shame this game didnt come out before the Dial of Destiny travesty.

Anyway i still expect it to do decent over time. Its releasing alongside that F2P Marvel juggernaut, and a very PC centric juggernaut in POE2.

On another note, the game is ok in first person. Still maintain it would have been better in third, but I'm not going to dwell on it. Works well with controller or mouse/keyboard and that gets it by.

Game really does look fantastic. Some trees looked weird and if I could take screenshots then I would, but otherwise, nice job with the visuals.

Stealth is definitely too easy early on. Looking forward to more challenges and hopefully, some expansion in the gameplay.

Just a tip from some Steam users. If you have 'low latency' turned on in the control panel, turning it off will give you a performance boost, especially if you are using frame gen.

Cant confirm myself as i already had it turned off.

It's a pretty game and captures the Indy vibe well. So far the AI has been the dumbest I have seen in a long time. Really hurts the gameplay.

If you had problems similar to mine, disabling low latency mode on the NVIDIA control panel helped a lot.

Just finished the first real level. I'm digging it - the level design is really good so far.

But I don't understand why they just recreated the intro to Raiders. I mean, sure, it's an iconic scene but it was done better in the movie. You don't even get to see the boulder rolling after Indy in first person. Weird choice but whatever - congrats to Alfred Molina for the free paycheck lol

Amazing voice acting and presentation. Path tracing is bonkers.
