I haven't followed the pre release discussion much. So people are surprised that... MachineGames made another solid/great game as usual? Only on NeoGaf I guess.

Looks like a fun romp, will play this down the line.

Honestly, not feeling the game completely. It's not First Person Shooter but rather something else. I hope the concept is working.

Sorry hit reply too quick.

Stealth, combat, platforming. They could all be the issue depending on how you play for sure

Not being able to lean left or right unless you’re holding a weapon sounds like a complete unanswerable fuck up to me for a game like this.

Forgotten City, Dishonored and Hitman all 3 in the same sentence.

Danny's summary is pretty hype-making. Just need a mention of Butcher Bay in there and I'll be fully satisfied.
I wonder if that's the Todd Howard influence to even mention Forgotten City. Sounds like a really unique game.

How long is the game? This will decide if I get it on Steam or just play it once on Gamepass. I don't wanna sit through a review (want to avoid spoilers/anything related tbh).

People were saying about 15 hours, but if you do a lot of side stuff it can get around 25.

It’s an outrage that they are demonizing nazis once again. And why are all the nazis always white men?

(Am I doing the anti-woke thing right?)

Screw it, I’m buying the early access. Good job Microsoft.

i think in general the hype has been tepid. (outside GAF)

based in Bethesda's and recent Publishers shenanigans, i am very skeptical about that MC score.

i think in the next 2-4 week, the sentiment will be less positive.

Just played the opening, seems great.

Edit: this 100% seems like an experience that'll be easy to spoil, I didn't know what the opening was, I reckon I'd enjoy it less if I'd known what was coming.

Recommend that if you're going to play this anyway, avoid reviews, etc.

Genuinely surprised but happy at the review scores.
Watched ACG's review and the game seems lengthy (for this style of game), packed with content, and has a lot of varied content and gameplay mechanics. Almost like there is somehting for everyone, and you can do what content you want to do.

I'm a big Indy fan but i havent really been excited for this as i just thought it would be a short and linear solid game. Glad to be wrong on this.

Glad to hear it's reviewing better than most (including me) expected. I'm still a little unsure about some of what I've heard (not keen on stealth-focused games), but I'll check it out when it comes to PS5.

#1 complaint seems to be the stealth

I guess the issue to discover now is how bad are we talking? Just not good? Or Mary Jane stealth bad?
The video I watched showed a section with bafflingly bad view cones on the enemies. They have major tunnel vision and apparently difficulty doesn't increase that.

But stuff like that depends on context in my opinion. In some games, enemies being relatively dumb adds to the fun. Could be a negative or a blessing in disguise lol
