It was the script too. It didnt convey any excitement for me. My expectations were lowered by the trailer and now they're much higher.
I'll be playing on XSX. But if it warrants a buy then it'll be PS5 Pro for sure.

my bet is 720p Lowest settings across the board at 30fps should be doable.
since I have the Xbox/Windows Store version I sadly can't really test it myself... but given how it runs on my desktop PC, it seems to be pretty light compared to many current AAA games.
...I mean it's iD Tech after all...
EDIT: apparently it's broken through Proton at the moment
I can wait. I'll just try to stay as spoiler-free as possible.

It might go down a bit when the game opens up to everyone. There are already a few threads on Steam with people moaning about the RTX requirement, and a few questionable and not very subtle warring threads from a certain section.

the only streaming option for this game that can look decent on big screen is Geforce Now Ultimate with hardware to run 4K stream.

For this reason and to support the programmers, I treated myself with the game already today (feel free to stone me

I've only played about 3 hours but I'm thrilled so far. Oldskool puzzle solving, exploration, avoiding traps, a few jumps here and there, a little bit of walking/sightseeing simulator and superb cutscenes. All of this is lightened up a bit by sneaking and fighting. Excellent mix!
Unfortunately, the only negative things arw the last two elements, as they are too easy in my opinion. This may change as the game progresses, but I doubt that. Here I recommend setting the combat difficulty to "Hard" or even "Very Hard" right from the start.

You can try GforceNow. The free version is "1080p" values in the middle. the paid version offers "4K 60fps" with ULtra and RT values.It's a great experience and you can link your gamepass account and the games (Indiana Jones on 9 DEC)

I just think those guys genuinely love easier console style games and anything that is a little out there in game design or trying something different baffles their brain. Say, like a deus ex. Can you imagine Tim Betty trying to play a game where you use your brain lol

Women and minorities are the first to be blamed for a game's fuckups. I remember people posting a pic of 50 women at 343i as proof that women were the reason the game sucked. I looked at wikipedia and they had 700 devs by the end of Halo Infinite's development. So was it those 50 women or the other 650 hacks who just happened to be male? Same goes for starfield. Do we blame the purple hair guy or Todd fucking howard who purposefully made the game a talking simulator with some of the worst writing and mission design in a bethesda game to date? but yes, lets always blame women and minorities.
Some games just stink because of poor management, bad development practices, greed, and a lot of high level decisions that even these Sweet Baby Inc people have no control over. Alan Wake 2 sucked ass not because Sweet Baby told them to make her black but because Sam Lake wrote a bad story, wanted to make a musical, and forgot basic rules of game design.
