Indigo Prophecy related announcement in 8 days?

I liked Fahrenheit, mystical bullshit and all.

A remake from the ground up would be cool. A lot of the animation in the later scenes look comical because of the tech limitations at the time.

Yuck. Don't want to remember that game at all.
Indigo Prophecy is Quantic Dream's one good game. It makes perfect sense to either remake it or give it a sequel. I just hope that if QD do remake it, they rework the last few chapters. For such a great game, the ending sure did suck.

A remaster would be great. Even though it goes batshit crazy in the second half, this is still one of my favorite games ever, mainly because of the incredible atmosphere.

I loved the game but it's pretty sad how it falls apart in the end.

The first scene and the way you play as the criminal and the police is genius and one of my best gaming experiments. Shame he couldn't carry it until the end.

They should just remake it from scratch.

Hell yeah, I'll pay $60 for a remix/remastered of this. Been waiting for the fan made HD mod for the PC version of the game for quite some time, but I guess the dude who was making it dropped the project.

Just this part alone makes me want a remake so bad

Can you imagine this shit with Beyond Two Souls Graphics.

This better be a whole new game and not a remake. There's plenty more plot to discover when you're dealing with
giant ghost bugs
and
alien kung fu powers.

I adore the entertainment value that David Cage games provide. They scratch the same itch as a movie that's so unintentionally/unrelentingly bad that it's good.

Dark Sorcerer quality remake of IP with hooks linking it to Beyond = Day 1

Edit. Bundle with ps4 Beyond that has added IP connections added

David Cage is skilled at turning promise into poop.

I don't care if he was going for B-movie sci-fi dreck. Even monster of the week TV movies can be consistent. This game was a Jane Austen dinner party suddenly interrupted by Jesus driving a monster truck over Lizzie Bennet's head. The ending of that game rivals ME3 in disappointment. I started rolling my eyes at the
Matrix bug freakout party
and when I saw
Fanta Man, or whoever the fuck that orange idiot was
my brain checked out. Gave him another chance with Heavy Rain, which (to its credit) had some redeeming features, but it wasn't good enough for me to get on board again.

I just thought about this... didn't QD and SCE tried to implement smartphone control settings with Beyond Two Soul for the second player?

Maybe Aspyr involvement is regarding some kind of app for the smartphones, which could be paired with the full game. I don't know. :p

God it is even sillier than I remembered.

If they remake it I hope they don't touch the batshit plot or action and just give it a facelift because it'll be more entertaining than their more somber affairs.

I'm getting angry just thinking about the game now

How the hell does the guy land a dev contract after homeless illuminati Mayan necrophiliac matrix radioactive lice?

Man it's bad that I can't tell if you're embellishing this description or not.

Oh boy.

Always had the same nightmare everytime i played that game. Like literally every day i play it, i have the same creepy nightmare. Really hope it's something for PC, will finally get it in my Steam library.

And of course it's gonna be interesting... will i have nightmare again?

This game would be great if Cage kept the first two scenes (diner + apartment) and redid the rest.

Pretty much. The diner scenes (from protag & cops' perspective) is quite possibly my favorite opening to a game ever.

Just keep it grounded, Cage, jesus

I stopped playing maybe 1/3 into the game but from what I played I aboslutely loved. I actually wondered if they would ever make another game like this again.

You only played the legit good part, that's why you have fond memories of it. Keep it that way.

Unless you really like QTEs and worse than Shyamalan plot twists.
.. and robotic sex scenes from hell.

I've been harsh on David Cage in the past but I was recently reminded that Indigo Prophecy starts with actual David Cage teaching you, a crash test dummy, how to play the game.

So, I dunno, I'm down for another one maybe.

HD version for consoles incoming.
Wii U exclusive.

QD don't do sequels, I doubt remaking such a dated game would excite them so I see rerelease, light remaster at best.

QD are teasing themselves (not through SCE at least) so it's probably for PC.

morpheus sextime event.

PS4 port is my guess. Sony keeps giving them money for some reason.
Three game deal, modest dev costs for mostly high production value and best of all, the games sell and make a profit apparently!

I owned this game for a while, enjoyed the first part of it. But the QTE's annoyed me so I ended up selling it. I then read the story online and it seemed VERY different than what I thought the game was about. Still, I'd get the HD remake, if there is one, just to finally beat the game.

Can't wait to fuck
a ghost
again.
It was actually
a frozen zombie (because he died but was brought back by the internet who disguised itself as a psychic, blind woman in a wheelchair) with Matrix kung-fu powers (because he was exposed to a magical artifact as a fetus). In an abandoned train car during a blizzard. Amongst a collective of hobos. Who were secretly a spy organization using crows to gather intel. And he was the main suspect of the murder case she was working on
.
Indigo Prophecy was an AMAZING first half of a game
The second half is arguably also amazing.

Literally the part where the game falls to shit.

They make interesting ideas (for the most part) that are quite profitable for SCE (based on the seemingly "modest" development cost).

I don't get this idea that quantic dream are under a three-games contract with SCE... as far as I know, they haven't changed their stance regarding their relationship with them (SCE) and don't seem to want to change it anyway.
Rob Crossley (CVG) said:
Guillaume de Fondaumière said that it was the nature of the Sony partnership that has spurred the studio to remain an exclusive PlayStation developer.

"We proved with Heavy Rain that we can be profitable by making a game for just one platform. Would we have made more money by going multi-platform? Of course, but on the other hand, we wouldn't be working with Sony as a publisher," he said.

"This isn't a partnership where we are forced by a big company into giving immediate results. That's fantastic for a studio like us. Ever since we started our partnership, Sony just said it was going to give us the money to build these games and we said we were going to work as hard as we could and reward it for its trust. We're certainly not going to change partner for the sake of making more money; that's not the philosophy behind our studio. As long as we can create the games we want to create, we'll stay with Sony."

Brenna Hillier (VG24/7) said:
In case you were in any doubt, Quantic Dream has confirmed, again, that it loves Sony best and is quite happy to remain a platform-exclusive developer for now.

I found this similar arcticle at VG24/7, which was posted just a few days later, re-confirming quantic dream's stance on their relationship with SCE.

Sehran Shaikh (GamePur) said:
According to details coming out from Linkedin profile of the Co-CEO and Executive producer Guillaume de Fondaumière, Quantic Dream is working on Playstation 4 since 2011 i.e development period of "three to four years".

In addition to this, Guillaume profile also confirms that currently Quantic Dream is working on more than one Playstation 4 title:

"He currently works on unannounced projects for Playstation 4, in partnership with Sony Computer Entertainment WWS." reads a line on Linkedin.

Now what these projects are, there's no hint whatsoever, but since its has been in development for three to four years, we expect to hear an official announcement soon.

I know SCE did the three-games deal for a few studios in the past, thatgamecompany (Flow, Journey) and Giant Sparrow (Unfinished Swan), but this is not the same situation we are having here.

That opening in the diner is the GOAT when it comes to the beginning of a game, shame it falls apart halfway through because David Cage's hack tendencies take over.
