I paid double the money for 5 less songs. That's kind of annoying.

The average length of the songs on this tour are longer. All in all it's probably a difference of 10 minutes or so. Some bands don't even play 90 minutes and these shows are minimum 2 hrs. Can't really complain...

I do wish every show was like the final wave goodbye performance of nearly 3.5 hrs though :D

did they film that show or not? I murder someone for the show on blu-ray

Saw them live in Atlanta a couple weeks ago. What I want to know, is how much control over the audio does Trent have? Being such a veteran, I was disappointed at how much the bass lacked any thump and how quiet some of the synth was. It was at an arena too, so there's no outdoor excuse. Besides that, it was pretty great.

edit: and yea, the setlist doesn't look great on paper, but it was actually pretty good in action.

Arenas are shitty for sound in general. All a musician hears is what is coming out of the monitors on stage. The sound man running the boards controls all the levels and shit like that. But keep in mind they are in the middle of the arena... When you are off to the side or far away you will not get as equal a distribution of instruments.

I just hope there's an official live blu-ray this time around.

The 'This One Is On Us' release of the leaked stuff was cool, but I miss having an official release. Just leave out the PHM songs (as much as I love them) if that's the issue.

There is one most likely. There was a fan contest (THAT I MISSED OUT ON!!) where they gave away 400 tickets to a taping for CBS show or something. Most definitely that will make it to bluray one way or another.

Don’t know when was this confirmed, but I just saw that they're coming to latin america. Chile, Argentina and Colombia (fuck yeah!) are the dates for now.

anyone else watch the performance on Jimmy Kimmel Live last night, they played Various Methods Of Escape which isn't up on the JKL Music Channel on youtube yet but here's All Time Low

I stayed up for that and am glad I did. Various Methods of Escape is my favorite song off HM. Jane's Addiction were pretty great on there the other night too.

Looks like I picked the right show to attend.

Agreed, such an awesome show, IMO the best of theirs I've seen yet. There is something about S.A. that I just dig, every show I catch there is awesome... although my wife was bothered by the retired jerseys hanging from the rafters, something about being too big lol!

But what the fuck kinda pants was Trent wearing? Looked like something the Beibs would wear heh. I love the seats one gets from the nin presale, but I really would have loved to be smack dab in the middle of the pit (if one could call it that, didn't see much moshing happening) as opposed to off to the side. Wife likes those seats since she is so short tho. Eh, had a great view of Eustis and his many instruments. Which is fine as I'll probably never get to see Telefon Tel Aviv, at least for real.

The official NIN Twitter account just tweeted that there's more 2014 tour news coming later this week. Hoping for some more American dates in early 2014 before they depart for their tour with QOTSA in Australia.

Their Summer Tour is usually in amphitheater. If true then I would not expect production quality of this year's tour.

I hope its the same as I would love to catch them again!

Holy moly that was fantastic. I wish he would play Into the Void just once, but I can't complain at all with the amazing show performed. highlights:
terrible lie, head like a hole, piggy, survivalism, hurt, march of the pigs

explosions in the sky were good too

Should be addressed that the stage, in Italy, was short. I'm not tall but normally I can see everything, this time it was so difficult it ruined the show to me. Is this happened only here?

Just wondering... how long are the shows? Going to the Vancouver one on Thursday, but I still have work the next morning.

I went last night and it was 2 hours on the dot just for NIN's piece.

...

And it was fucking PHENOMENAL. I was a huge fan of NIN before, but this puts Reznor's work into a whole new tier for me. I can't even describe how great that was.

Only thing that bugged me was Explosions in the Sky's audio engineer. That shit was trash whenever they hit their louder pieces. NIN's acoustics were fucking sublime though.

Yeah! I wasn't sure if that was the engineers fault or the arena, until NIN started. Was a fantastic show, and they were on it. I was surprised how on the dot everyone was. They didn't even take breaks between songs, just song after song for a couple hours. Just the finale/encore had any pause.

Yea, every major artist can take a page out of Reznor's book. That was a PERFECT show. I was thoroughly impressed on every level.

Oh cool. So show's done by like 10:00-10:30 and I can be home by 11:30.

Wish this was on a Saturday night. But it's far from my house and I still have to get up for work the next morning :/

Excited though!

Show was done at 10:45.

They're in Vancouver tomorrow night, should be a good show.

Last concert I saw from them was probably the best live show I have ever seen.
It was the one with the interactive set, was sweet! :D

Hope this show is even better! :p

Definitely one of the things I love about NIN shows. 2hrs straight and barely a second wasted throughout the duration of the show. Unlike other bands who play 75-90 minutes and try to stretch it out to two hours with various bullshit.

Yeah, this will always be my favorite live band. Every part of it is perfect, on time, sounds great, looks great, etc.

I was at the Portland show, and I think the setlist was weak (I really wanted In This Twilight and any of the rare live songs like Just Like You Imagined or Reptile), but everyone I know who went was super impressed, even the people who have never heard anything but Hurt and Closer.
