Injustice is out on Vita now

I might have played the game a lot more (and UMvC3 in general, for that matter) if the game had cross-play. Since it does not, it goes untouched. SFxTK has gotten the vast majority of my Vita fighting game play time. DOA5+ did for a bit, but with its online matching issues and then DOA5 just getting killed off by the release of Ultimate, it's also pretty much just sitting there.

MvC is my favorite fighting game gameplay wise, so that's probably why I was able to stick to it I guess. I also had a ton of friends that played in lobbies on a daily basis so I had plenty of competition at the time. I can understand why someone wouldn't care to put the time into it though. That's pretty much how I feel about Injustice atm since it lacks cross-play. I can't see myself having the motivation to spend time learning it if I couldn't compete with most other players. I had like 200 hours logged in marvel last time I checked awhile ago, with about 40 in SFxT before I got bored. I should note I don't have a PS3 though, so I didn't have an alternative (although I'm not sure I could play a fighting game on any other dpad now)

Its only $15 right now, so I think it would be worth it at that price. Online isn't very active, but you can still find a match. I purchased it for full price near launch and its still probably one of my most played Vita games.

Where at? I'm seeing about $30 at Amazon for a new copy. I'm waiting until Black Friday anyways to buy anything at this point though.

And I complain about skimpy SP and bad online, but I did pay nearly full price Tekken 3DS, lol. It actually runs really well even in 3D and plays much better than SFIV since you never need to use the shoulder buttons for anything.

The game looks much better if you manually adjust the contrast, in the main menu: AV settings (within the game, yes, on Vita).

It allows for a less washed out image.

Fiddled with this for a bit and wow, it really does look better with the contrast turned up a bit. Thanks for this.

I was just emphasizing haha. Are these screenshots taken with the home+start buttons?

Yup. Standard screenshots.

I like portables a lot, but I wouldn't be satisfied with just a Vita for fighting games. The online populations are nowhere near as high. I'm planning on playing more Injustice if the PS4 version turns out well (and also if the PC version's online gets fixed). Vita will be used for practice when on the go.

Digital sale on PSN?

I still need to use the shoulder buttons for LP+RK and RP+LK. Claw style doesn't always work for me on 3DS.

Tekken 3D's online is pretty shit though. I'd rather play SSF4 3D, even at 30 fps.

Will pick this up on the 29th. Gotta support that 3rd party love.

I was thinking about waiting. But if we want more of these games it's probably best to buy them upon release, rather than wait for a sale. I bought MK at launch and don't regret a thing.

Some capture card gameplay-

Watching it on my Vita, it looks pretty good. I'd say it looks better than DoA5+ (out of fighting games), but in general it also looks better than Assassin's Creed: Liberation. My biggest issue with the graphics is that they look washed out.

Clearing space on my card now.

But it was mentioned earlier that you could tweak the contrast.

Yep, I know. Very glad that they included that. That's an issue I have with a few Vita games I've played- they're fine graphically, but are super washed out by developers to diminish the 'oversaturation' of color by the OLED. Something I'm kind of not looking forward to with the Vita 2000. If games look washed out on the current Vita and lack any kind of color settings, how will they look on the new one which has an LED screen?

Heads up UK- Gaf, Argos are selling this for 12.99

The are also selling the PS4 version for 23.49

But yeah. I bought mortal kombat a couple weeks ago, turned it on and within a Minute i was on my way to cex to trade it in. Such a blurry mess. I dont think I would go near injustice if it wasn't so cheap.
