Is Forza doing the best car customizations ever?

We have the forza demo running in our store at the moment, and on our video we have GT4. Forza in motion looks like total shit compared to GT4.

If your GT4 vid is anything like the one we have, then it's fair to note that what you're watching isn't actual gameplay. Some of it is gameplay footage, some highly edited, intermixed with a LITTLE CG here and there, and all from replay perspectives. ergo, hardly a fair basis for comparison (e3 demo meant to showcase gameplay and driving physics vs. mix tape designed for eyecatching public display) :) IMO, the demo for Forza shows a great deal of potential for an incredible game, but at this stage is not trying to upstage GT4's presentation (the demo doesn't even have any music, yo). Let's let them finish it before we pass judgement, as per usual? :lol

either way ive played both, framerate is not something to scoff about. and even if it is replay footage its still 60fps

Did . . I even . . mention . . frame rate . . anywhere????? :lol

I was talking about comparing an edited attract video to a 6 month old single track demo with no music. IE, something which is created to show off the very best aspects of GT4 in hopes of getting customer reservations vs. an example of relatively early code with absolutely no presentation, meant to showcase handling/driving physics and a fraction of the game's actual options. IE, there really isn't a fair basis for comparison there. Not yet. Forza's showing off great potential, but doesn't really compare to GT4, which has already seen a fine layer of polish. Time will tell when both games are finished, where each succeeds and fails. Passing Judgement at this point is just, well, silly. It would be like passing judgement on GT4 prologue, when the final product looks leagues better.

Yeah I am sorry but this is some weak damage control. He isnt passing judgement but only expressing his opinion. And Forza does indeed look worse in actual gameplay and I would say the handling is MUCH better in the new GT4 demo. If things stay the way they are now then when it comes to pure driving GT4 wins buy a mile.

how about this.. all of you shut the fuck up and stop comparing GT4 to Forza. There hasn't been a single good thread about Forza because the retarded fanboys keep turning them to shit.

Hardly "damage control" of any kind, really. He's expressing his opinion, I felt clarification would be fair. End of story. Nobody's trying to piss on GT, so don't worry.

Some folks STILL take shit TOO personally when any game is mentioned in the same sentence as GT . It's getting annoying. Chill, Forza's no threat to the crown. At least, not at this point. :)

Im not taking anything personal its just you trying to downplay GT4 by using the old 'replays look better than actual gameplay' arguement is tired. The only thing the actual gameplay is missing from the GT4P intro, if that is what we all are refering to, is the extra AA and the crowds. Minus those two aspect, that is what you get during the gameplay. What sticks out the most is how the cars behave, everything from weight trasfer to drifting looks much more realistic in GT4. Side by side the frame rate makes a huge difference and by the sound of his posts that is what seemed to impress sp0rsk the most.

It would be like passing judgement on GT4 prologue, when the final product looks leagues better.

So you have seen the final GT4? Or is this commet only here to service your hope that Forza will look better than it does now? I wonder.

How about you shut the fuck up too, because Xbots do the same shit every bit as often.

Did anybody enjoy the demo of Forza?i was looking forward this game, mainly for Live play but everybody seem to be saying it's shit:(

No, I'm *NOT* trying to downplay GT

Yes you are. Incase you forgot, these replay angles are what you will use during gameplay in GT4. You didnt even ask to know what exactly sp0rsk thought looked better before you went off on this assumtion that it was only becuase of 'flashier replays'. I dont know if there will be any improvements at all and I wont sit here and write off these demos as if there will be any change. Games dont always get better, sometimes they are worse.

Looks more interesting/exciting, visually, than this:

At least, it grabs my attention a whole hell of alot more. That's all.

I would be less interested with something that has less accurate lighting and squished cars too.

yeah, wtf is up with the cars? looks like widescreen gone wrong or something. i hope the final game doesn't end up looking like that.

It doesn't. TXB's aspect ratio is messed up, for some odd reason. :lol It looks like they were taking captures in widescreen, then compressed them to their standard screenshot format.

If that were true shouldnt the dials be oblong?
