Perhaps make it either 64×85 or 66×87. Both of those aspect ratios would be fine.

Post it if you can. AFAIK Imageshack is fine for avatars, it's just using them in posts that is a no-no.

Even just on this page that seems to be the case. Do you recommend Photobucket instead? How about Picasa, anyone here use that?

edit: I went ahead and switched to photobucket. Clipper is using it and he seems very well informed on avatar rules

I fixed it in Photobucket now, its scaled down to 60X90 and I have learned the error of my ways.

Do I have to wear this badge of dishonor forever for my flawed ways? or is there a way to redeem myself?

BAH!, I sit alone on atop dumbshit mountain, Im so confused.

I resized it to 40*60, so will it now scale to 60*90? or will it go back up to 90*135?

Do I have to change the ratio to get this too work?

Update: OK went in and manually stretched it to 90x120, it doesnt look too distorted so it should work now

Use this equation:

(90 / your avatar's width) * your avatar's heigth

If what you get is 120 or lower, you're fine. If you get more than 120, it's too wide.
