I've got Pop Figures on display in my living room.

Seriously. I have a bookshelf in my living room full of pops. Not sequestered in a nerd cave. On full display. I'm 38. What's your little nerd guilty pleasures gaf? Do you collect big boobie anime figurines? Matchbox cars? Hummels?

Cheap and cute.

I don't collect any of that stuff tbh, not saying it to be a hater but I never got into any of it. My ex had a nice collection of Disney figurines she collected over the years though.

I collect metal/rock band tees. I used to love going to concerts before COVID and that's where I'd buy them. Authentic merch. I still buy band tees online when they're on sale, but it doesn't have that "memory" attached to them like getting it after a show. I don't know how many I have, never counted, but probably over 30.

I think it's a cool thing to collect because it's fashionable clothing and you can wear it whenever/wherever and get compliments from random strangers/fans of the band you're rocking. I started collecting band shirts in college, so I only have like 6-7 years worth of collecting under my belt.

Some Final fantasy stuff and other video game collectibles, the bobble heads are from League of Legends. My most priced possession is the Kasumi figurine. It is extremely high quality and I got it at Radio Kaikan in Akihabara. Oh yeah, also, on the bottom left of the first picture is a rare pokémon trading card, only released in Japan because it is "obscene".

I collect rare and out of print books on the occult, supernatural, UFOs, ghosts, magic, cryptids, ancient aliens, alternative history, vampires, etc.

I use the Karl pilkington rule that if I don't use something in 3 months it put it in the bin or give it away
I use the Marie Kondo rule of sparking joy. If a pop figure of killer clowns from outer space sparks joy then I buy the damn thing.

Take pics bro, that sounds awesome
I recently moved so most are in storage for now, but I still have a handful laying around I could take a picture of.

I also have hundreds of copies of the old Fate magazines and issues of Fortean Times.

I'm feeling kinda lazy but just snapped a picture of what is currently on my nightstand, been my nightly reading this past week:

I also own a disturbing amount of Buffy the Vampire Slayer comics (nearly every single one) ... but we dont need to talk about those :messenger_grinning_sweat: :messenger_ok:

Did any of you guys get into Heavy Metal? That's a magazine I always wanted to get into back in the day. I have tons of comic books. Not so easy to display though.

I have this art by O orioto framed and hanging in my living room. I don't think anyone has known it is from a game though.

I have my manga and figures all in my office room. I don't think they go well with the living room. I'm not a huge collector though.

My wife wouldnt mind it... she would just add some cute asian plushies to it.

Any rich nerds here with some sideshow stuff?

I've got a bunch of Clive Barker tortured souls "figures" I'd put those in the living room but some people might not approve. lol

My wife and I have about ninety "hobby" boardgames on several shelves in the dining area and living room. The rest are downstairs.

I have two CRTs plugged in, one of them in tate orientation. I think that's pretty nerdy too.

Also are the figures in their boxes or open? I think that makes a significant difference to the final nerdy assessment.

I've never taken a figure out of a box in my adult life.

My wife and I are massive RE4 fans. Such that we have a wall covering cloth banner of Leon hung right next to our bed, and on the other side is a statue of Leon, and a statue of Geralt. That's right, Leon and Geralt watch me in bed with my wife.....wonder how critical Geralt is of my technique.

Our car is also basically covered in Metal Gear Solid, MegaMan X, Final Fantasy, Studio Ghibli, Street Fighter, Resident Evil, and Witcher decals.

I wear subtle gaming stuff on occasion out and about, but not loud "gamery" stuff very often. I have two black beanies, one with a Zelda shield and the other with a Witcher medallion. I wear a Cuphead shirt pretty often because I like the fit and I love that game's art style.

We also have basically every amiibo released up until about a year ago, we just kind of fell off collecting them. They're displayed basically everywhere throughout the house, upstairs and downstairs.

I'm also very seriously considering paying an artist to paint Guile, Zangief, Chun Li, Akuma, Ken, Hugo, Sagat, E.Honda, Bison, Alex, Urien, and Dudley on the walls of my home gym.

You might say we wear our shit on our sleeve too OP ;)

They would make for easy headshots with a nerf gun. I had a RDR1 poster on my wall for a long time. That's about it for the nerd accouterments.

That's a damn good wife you got there.

I only like buying things that make me money, so the only thing I really collect is tools. I do geek out over a nice spray gun though.
