Usually after you lose to a team, you don't say you're better than them. That's just what usually happens. :p

TD had a triple double

That must be one pissed off crowd. They bought those expensive tickes way ahead of time thinking they were going to boo Kobe. :lol

Utah didn't have a chance.

But Cloudy picked the Wiz over the Suns and the Wiz won by 5. You can tell how hopeless the Suns are without Nash when even a Cloudy pick against them isn't enough. :/

Sactown, I've been posting in this thread about the Wiz for awhile. I won't pretend for a second that I thought they'd be this good, though.

When there were rumors of trading Dixon and such this offseason, I was this close to disowning them.

But - damn! - beating the Suns tonight.

I think the town is finally starting to catch on.

Book this one to the Cavaliers 84-71 to stay in first (Back Pistons, Back!) :D

This is the only time this year I've seen Utah and my opinion is not favorable. They completely collapsed when faced with a zone defense and let a team they were blowing out come back to demolish them. The refs called a fair game but I also have the opinion that Utah fouls. A lot. I think they got whistled at least thirty three times.

Something evil lurks in the Delta Center. That was the ugliest basketball I've seen from Cleveland this year. It was like Cavaliers on ice.

And now I finish with you, filthy Boozer. Back to your large mansion of lies, deceit and debauchery. :)

I like how right after Konex says "I told you" that the Cavs go on a 52-16 run :lol

I demand a stickied thread of Konex's sports picks, daily. We would all be rich

Well I wish I could say beating the Suns right now meant something, but at this point it's basically just piling on. :/

Except they've also won 7 games in a row, and have beaten a bunch of West teams, including the Sonics (and the Lakers!).

I think they've pretty much established themselves as a good team now.

I'm still a huge Kobe fan, but after the last 2 games I have to question what he brings to the table.

The Lakers have now won 2 in a row. What will it mean if they win their next game. They have not won 3 games in a row all season, and it would just be crazy if they won their first 3 in a row without the Kobester.

NICE! I hope Kobe is watching this. When Lamar has his hands on the ball, good things happen.

Yeah, Kobe off the ball will be better. Let Lamar and the small guards do the excessive handling. Man, this team will be deadly soon :)

PS: Rudy finally stopped that shitty zone and the Lakers made a run. What is wrong with the old man? :lol

This could be very good for the Lakers. Once Kobe comes back, both Rudy and Kobe will have some respect for Lamar and allow him to be more agressive. I was loving all those shot attempts in the paint by Odom and teamates. This team could be deadly if they got the right chemistry.

Respect for Lamar? Lamar almost always gets his hand on the ball every possession, he just doesn't do anything with it. He just sits there at the top and passes it to the next person. If he would just freaken be aggressive, we'd probably have won many more games. Hopefully he learns this while Kobe is out and when he gets back we'll tear up the NBA.

Wow, you mean they'd actually play like a team?

No, I mean they'd have motion in their offensive sets more frequently. They've been playing like a team from the 3pt line all season :lol

Oh and is Montgomery the worst coach ever? Lamar went left EVERY time and they never adjusted and forced him right or threw a double at him. No wonder they keep losing :lol

Small balls, big fun!
Willco: You were close to disowning the Wizards for trading the eighth best player on the team (apologies to Jarvis Hayes)? I know there's a bunch of Dixon support in the area because he's local, but c'mon.

He's not a consistent scorer, he doesn't look for anyone's shot but his own, and he takes shots like he's the primary option (more often than Gilbert Arenas, even). He looks good when all his shots are going in (who doesn't?), and he's a decent player to have off the bench, but when he gets a lot of minutes, like last year, he's totally exposed.

Kobe's gonna tell the team to throw the game so he can save his rep! :D

To tell the truth, I'm even more impressed with Dixon's defense and hustle. Dude is instant energy off the bench and his Oncourt/offcourt today was +20 and -18

ESPN will surely spin it against Kobe but the competition has a lot to do with it. I'm very confident about the next game though. The Jazz can't bust a zone to save their lives :lol

Oh right, because if the Heat didn't win 3 in a row all season and won 3 in a row as soon as Shaq got injured you would never spin it against Shaq right?

Hmmm, that doesn't really address my point at all, but OK. I've been bashing the Suns a lot worse than that statement, so your post neither addresses my post nor really does anything.

Speaking of weak 3-game sets, way to not win 3 in a row in any of these:
Sun 7 Atlanta Win 106-90
Tue 9 at New Orleans Win 106-98
Wed 10 at Memphis Loss 87-110
Atkins 4

Fri 12 at Orlando Loss 113-122
Sat 13 at Houston Win 84-79
Wed 17 LA Clippers Win 103-89

Tue 30 at Milwaukee Win 95-90
Wed 1 at Chicago Loss 84-92
Fri 3 Golden State Win 97-88

Fri 17 Washington Loss (OT) 116-120
Mon 20 Memphis Loss 72-82
Wed 22 New Orleans Win 101-89

Oh and just for fun:

Wed 22 New Orleans Win 101-89
Sat 25 Miami Loss (OT) 102-104
Tue 28 Toronto Win 117-99

Uh... the "h8ers" would start to have a really good point if they won 5 straight without him. Why would you criticize haters anyway when the #1 thing I think about of you is not even your love of Kobe but your hate of Shaq? You even had a tag/avatar about it at one point! :p

Some people never learn.

The Haters need to stop. If you don't belive in the power of Konex now you never will. Kobe is out and the Lakers somehow win 2 in a row without him. Not believing in Konex now is analogous to the Jews who just saw Moses part the Red Sea and 40 days later were back to worshipping Idols.

Abandon your false idol before it is too late DM...

Wow, Houston held SA to 67 points? Looks like outside of Duncan and Parker, nobody came to play at all.

Phoenix better hope that Nash's body holds up the rest of the season, since it's clear that without him, that team is looking at a first-round exit. This is why I've always laughed at speculation that Phoenix could best Chicago's 72-win mark (or even reach 70 wins), since not only do you have to be a great team in all areas (Phoenix is great in many ways, but not so much in others), but you have to have a charmed season injury- and suspension-wise, like Chicago did that year. If a team takes a hard foul on Nash, Phoenix goes bye-bye.

I don't hate Shaq. I just think he's highly overrated :)

Without Nash, Suns are a 4-6 seed (and only b/c of all the wins they already have) and a first round maybe (they're still a pretty good offensive team, just depends who they get matched up against).

Do you know how many points their bench had today? :lol :lol It's bad even for them. Take a look, anyone who hasn't yet.
