This game is soul crushingly bizarre
Cleveland can't even dribble unguarded.
I told you....

I like how right after Konex says "I told you" that the Cavs go on a 52-16 run :lol
Willco said:Sactown, I've been posting in this thread about the Wiz for awhile. I won't pretend for a second that I thought they'd be this good, though.
When there were rumors of trading Dixon and such this offseason, I was this close to disowning them.
But - damn! - beating the Suns tonight.
I think the town is finally starting to catch on.

AstroLad said:Well I wish I could say beating the Suns right now meant something, but at this point it's basically just piling on. :/

NICE! I hope Kobe is watching this. When Lamar has his hands on the ball, good things happen.
Fifty said:Wow, you mean they'd actually play like a team?
VPhys said:I'm still a huge Kobe fan, but after the last 2 games I have to question what he brings to the table.
The Lakers have now won 2 in a row. What will it mean if they win their next game. They have not won 3 games in a row all season, and it would just be crazy if they won their first 3 in a row without the Kobester.
Mandark said:Willco: You were close to disowning the Wizards for trading the eighth best player on the team (apologies to Jarvis Hayes)? I know there's a bunch of Dixon support in the area because he's local, but c'mon.
He's not a consistent scorer, he doesn't look for anyone's shot but his own, and he takes shots like he's the primary option (more often than Gilbert Arenas, even). He looks good when all his shots are going in (who doesn't?), and he's a decent player to have off the bench, but when he gets a lot of minutes, like last year, he's totally exposed.

Cloudy said:ESPN will surely spin it against Kobe but the competition has a lot to do with it. I'm very confident about the next game though. The Jazz can't bust a zone to save their lives :lol
Cloudy said:Well the Lakers haven't lost 3 in a row (like the Suns just did) all year either but no one talks about that

Cloudy said:Shit, I hope they win 5 str8 w/o Kobe and all the haters can look like fools arguing that the team is better without him :lol

Some people never learn.
AstroLad said:Uh... the "h8ers" would start to have a really good point if they won 5 straight without him. Why would you criticize haters anyway when the #1 thing I think about of you is not even your love of Kobe but your hate of Shaq? You even had a tag/avatar about it at one point!![]()
Cloudy said:I don't hate Shaq. I just think he's highly overrated![]()
Loki said:Wow, Houston held SA to 67 points? Looks like outside of Duncan and Parker, nobody came to play at all.
Phoenix better hope that Nash's body holds up the rest of the season, since it's clear that without him, that team is looking at a first-round exit. This is why I've always laughed at speculation that Phoenix could best Chicago's 72-win mark (or even reach 70 wins), since not only do you have to be a great team in all areas (Phoenix is great in many ways, but not so much in others), but you have to have a charmed season injury- and suspension-wise, like Chicago did that year. If a team takes a hard foul on Nash, Phoenix goes bye-bye.
bionic77 said:The Haters need to stop. If you don't belive in the power of Konex now you never will. Kobe is out and the Lakers somehow win 2 in a row without him. Not believing in Konex now is analogous to the Jews who just saw Moses part the Red Sea and 40 days later were back to worshipping Idols.
