Ninja Scooter said:The Konex Principal is even stronger than the Jordan Curse. Jordan himself wakes up every morning and thanks god that Konex wasn't around back in the early-mid 90s to jump on the Bulls bandwagon and destroy everything.

DMczaf said:Wrong, the Jordan Curse is LIFE threatening. The worst the Kobex Principle can do is just hurt players in terms of success. Jordan Curse can give you a career ending injury.
Penny Hardaway?
Grant Hill?
Jay Williams?
Harold Minor?
Don't you ever compare the Jordan Curse to the Kobex Principle.

etiolate said:Exactly. This is a fucking dumb trade. Now the Kings have Mobley, Bojax and Bibby playing the same position and similiar types of games. Three undersized shooting guards! And now no defenders! Except maybe Evans, but he is inexperienced. Christie dropped off a bit, but still one of the better defenders in the league and the team's best passer.

Sactown said:The trade looks really good so far. We won't have B Jax at all this season, and Mobley is playing the 2 guard quite well. He's played solid defense the last 2 days, and can actually hit wide open shots

Yao is not The Answer

Houston, we have a problem!
Yao Ming should NOT be the focal point of Houston's offense. Not now at least. As a disgruntled fantasy league owner who foolishly drafted Yao in the 2'nd round over Amare "Man-child" Stoudemire, I am sick with regret. Yao is a tremendous talent and a cultural phenomenon no doubt. But I'm sorry- if you're standing 7 feet 99 above all other competition, I expect better than 28th in the league for offensive rebounds. Basketball is a rhythm sport... shake, rock, pop, count it... And it is quite obvious to me at least, Yao has no rhythm whatsoever. Somebody take this man to a nightclub. Pop a bottle. Bump some Ludacris in his car, please! Or better yet, sign him up for Debbie Allen's Dance Academy. Get his feet right for crying out loud. All that bowing and politeness and reluctance to knock a brotha in the head has got no place in the NBA. Either address the problem or face the facts, Van Gundy. Confucious say he be Rik Smits and nothing more.

I didn't like the Bobcats game since I didn't think they deserved that win but this game is just awesome. Great game by the Raps.

THE LOW FIVE: The entire Atlantic Division
26. New York Knicks (17-20) The Knickerbockers are 17-20 and tied for the lead in the Atlantic? Congratulations, Pinto. Your 1.2 GPA puts you at the top of the Delta pledge class.
27. Boston Celtics (17-20) The Celtics' defense is nonexistent. Any chance Bill Belichick could join the staff as a coordinator?
28. Philadelphia 76ers (17-20) Allen Iverson continues to battle and put up great numbers, but how much gas will be left in the tank after this season?
29. Toronto Raptors (16-23) 13-5 at home. The problem is that 41 games are played on the road each season. The Raptors are 3-18 stateside.
30. New Jersey Nets (13-24) Last place in the Atlantic, and Richard Jefferson is out for the year. Ouch.
