Damn, everytime I go into any thread that I have posted in I see that filthy Jordan avatar and wonder "Who is this Jordaphilic scoundrel"? Imagine the shock when I realize it is me!

This is like getting plastic surgery to look like Osama Bin Laden, or even worse Tom Brady....

I think Ginobili topped his move from last week against the Clips with his fastbreak lay-in tonight against the Kings while being fouled. Sick, sick move. Check out Sportscenter if you can. :D

I just realized a great benefit to this hideous avatar.

I can pretend to be a Jordan fan and thus give a false air of legitimacy when I slam him!

Example: "Hey guys, I am as big of a Jordan fan as the next guy, I mean look at my avatar! But Jordan was definitely overrated on defense, offense, and leadership. I think we can all agree he was the undisputed king of great commercials though and isn't that what he was all about?"

:D

Edit: I have just come up with the perfect defense against the infamous "tapes"! These tapes don't stand a chance against the word of a "diehard" fan. I mean Loki doesn't even have a Jordan avatar, what the hell does he know about MJ?

don't worry Bionic. Konex and I have been secretly working on a plan to destroy Loki's entire tape collection over the past 6 months or so.

You know who had a similar plan?

You couldn't be MORE wrong DM. Hitler was a huge Jordan fan, he had posters of MJ all over his room growing up.

Trust me, no one loves Jordan more then me man. As good as Jordan was, he has a tendency for attracting some pretty weird fans......

If loving a violent, overrated, tool of the white devil like Jordan makes me weird then I guess I am just weird.

Hmm, I just figured out the downfall of your plan bionic. This will actually triple the amount of Jordan talk in this thread until the end of the season! It's brilliant! Go bionic!

Damnit!

You are one evil bastard DM, kicking me when I am at my lowest. However, you still lose this one. Just like you never get sick of negative Kobe/Lakers talk, the Jordan haters feel the same way about Jordan.

Hah, little do you know (because I didn't want to expose myself to further ridicule :D) that I actually found a website that allows you to buy full-length NBA games of star players on DVD's. So I have a nice little shipment of games I've never seen before expected on Tuesday (though probably later now with this storm and all). :D

If any of you guys are interested in buying full-length game DVD's (regular season, playoffs, All-Star etc.) let me know and I'll PM you the link. She has the following players' games available:

Larry Bird
Magic
Jordan
Iverson
Tmac
Kobe
Shaq
Dr. J
Vince Carter
Lebron James

There are literally dozens of games available for each of these players.

So, for instance, if Konex wants Kobe's career-high 56 against the Grizzlies on DVD (the full game), or Kobe's 9-game 40+ point streak (all the games), or if DM wants TMac's 62 point game, she has them available. But let me wait until I actually receive the DVD's to make sure it's legit and I didn't get scammed. :lol I did some pretty thorough research on this person, however, and she has a perfect satisfaction rating on both Ebay and PayPal, so I'm hoping it's cool. If not, it's CREDIT CARD AM CRYING for Loki. :D

This was like a godsend when I found it; I've been looking for a similar website/service for YEARS now. Even NBA.com doesn't sell old full-length games on tape/DVD. I was giddy with excitement. :lol :)

Link me up, Loki

Sure, I'll PM you the link. I'd advise AGAINST purchasing anything, however, until I receive my games. That way, if it's some sort of scam, at least only one of us gets screwed. :D

Hey Piston and bionic, she also has Magic's 42 point/16 rebound/8 assist performance in the 1980 Finals when Kareem was sidelined! Ooooh, temptation! :D

The Kings just did not show up tonight. After a few games of Konex saying the Kings will win the pacific and the team still winning, the karma finally piled up on top of each other for the Spurs game. I mean how else does Manu make that crazy ass shot?

I never liked watching older games over and over again. I will watch them if they show up on ESPN2, but I like to live in the present not the past. :D

Well, you're a better man than I am... :D

Besides, Jordan is like fine wine-- better with age and all... :p

Etiolate, you saw that shot by Ginobili? Sick. :lol

Jordan was great in the day. Definitely my favorite player ever. I just can't watch those old highlights though because they just remind me how much better the players of today are athletically. :D

MICHAEL JEFFERY JORDAN is the GREATEST EVER

My request went through. :)

Actually I requested the tag, but they didn't have space for the one I wanted which was:

Micheal Jeffrey Jordan was the greatest ever when he played with Scottie Pippen.

18 ppg=wrecking the league?

a_mjordan_i.jpg

:lol

Oh Piston, how disingenuous of you! :D

Jordan's stats from '01-'02 (age 39) and '02-'03 (age 40):

'02: 23 ppg, 5.7 reb, 5.2 assist, 1.42 steals (more than Kobe! :D)
'03: 20 ppg (not "18" like you said), 6.1 reb, 3.8 asst., 1.5 steals (more than Kobe!)

(note that he was slowed in '03 by the knee he hurt in '02, which he never fully recovered from)

For a 40 year old player that was his team's only scorer, I'd call that "domination". He was far and away the most successful 40 year old player in history. Some selected game results:

2002 season:

vs. Utah: 44 points against Russell and Kirilenko (have the game on tape)

In back-to-back games:

vs. Hornets: 51 points on Baron Davis, Stacey Augmon, and David Wesley
vs. NJ: 45 points on Kerry Kittles and Richard Jefferson

vs. Seattle: 40 points

In back-to-back games:

vs. Cleveland: 40 points plus the game-winner
vs. Phoenix: 41 points on Shawn Marion

(along with numerous games of 35+)

2003 season:

vs. Indiana: 41 points against Ron Artest

vs. Hornets: 45 points

vs. NJ: 43 points

vs. NY: 39 points plus the game-winner

(plus numerous games of 30+; again, he was slowed some by his knee injury; he also had a game-winner against Phoenix that season)

In all seriousness, you mean to tell me that a 39-40 year old player doing all that isn't considered "wreckage"? Hell, in the '02 season there were probably only 2-5 players who put up 40+ more than 39 year old Jordan did (likely Kobe, Iverson, Shaq, TMac, maybe Dirk). For a man his age to do all that is just phenomenal imo, and it always will be. This is to say nothing of the in-game abuse he laid on guys like Mobley, Jimmy Jackson, Bowen, Artest, Richard Jefferson, TMac etc.-- I have games on tape where he beat all those guys athletically (driving past them, hang-time moves, quick spins etc.). The man was just insane; to say he didn't dominate at age 39-- despite the fact that his statline was comparable to every other star 2-guard that season, and only really "surpassed" by Kobe and Tmac-- is just revisionist history.

But against Christie, Jordan went for 12 points and 17 points that year. :D

In 2002 Jordan had 25 pts and 9 assists in a 108-101 win against the Kings :p

The season where the Wizards were in the 5th seed before his injury :(

I know you had something to do with it, bionic!
