Someone really needs to harpoon that fat bitch. I never thought that ten years ago when she seemed shy and nervous as shit on television that she'd marry a wrestler and be heir to the throne.

She should cheat on HHH with (/v\), that'd learn him.

She really wasn't that shy. I remember around Eddie's passing that WO or some otherimpliedthat if Eddie didnt get back with Vickie, Steph was gunning for him.

Actually she can book, but only in the womans division mostly. The womens division has been booked better since 2004 in the Brand. The men's side she need to let go. Its hard enough on her already...Shane has done wonders for the Video side of the brand and outside a few problems, he has the pulse and the brain but his father is keeping him down.

Just looked at the part where Hornswoggle leaves the match and he slid under the bottom rope. I wonder if it'll be mentioned tomorrow night. I kept waiting for him to come out and push Cena over the top rope while he was celebrating but it didn't happen :\

Royal Rumble's ending sucked, so my friend popped in Royal Rumble 2005 and laughed as we looped McMahon blowing both of his knees when he slides into the ring.

Good idea. Maybe I'll wash this down with some 1992 Rumble. Wooooooooooooo. And to see Hot Rod pre humongous gut.

heh.... I marked out major at cena coming back. and you guys saying you had a feeling he was coming back are full of shit, and that's all there is to that.

last but not least, I rewound it about half a dozen times now, and there is one fact that is without uncertainty...... as soon as cena's music hit after the buzzer, you couldn't hear a single god damn boo in MSG. Yeah, they followed soon after he entered the ring, but that's people hating on a 2 year long champ. the fact still remains that almost everyone you could hear they're initial reaction to it was excitement.

I know this threads will fill up with the same ol' and I'm sure I'll even tire of it after a while, but the thought of cena on promos, and cena in matches, a wrestler who at least knows how to make a match exciting (hardy destroys the ever living shit out of orton for like 10 minutes, hits a whisper in the wind, goes for a twist of fate and out of nowhere orton pulls off a perfect RKO? God I can't wait for orton to drop the title).

Anyway, my highlighyts of this RR (which I loved) were (in no order):
Michaels superkicking Undertaker out
Kennedy taking out Michaels (I actually marked out for that one)
opponents 3 and 4 jobbing under 90 seconds each
HHH, Cena, and Batista signaling their trademarks
Santino ripping NYC a new one, especially the Jersey team thing :lol
and Cena coming back like 5-6 months earlier than EVERYONE was expecting.

well played WWE. Worth every penny.

I thought it was an awesome show.

The arena erupted when Cena came out. Personally, I was excited as much as people hate Cena, I loathe Triple H and his ego. I figured once Taker/hBK were gone he was a shoe-in to win.

Also, for some odd reason the fans hated Rey. I can see why they love Edge but poor Rey.

People who like Cena: Wheeee!!! Wooooo!!! People who hate him: What the fuck!??!?!? *stand in stunned silence, realizing they wasted however much money they spent to attend the Rumble. It took a few moments for reality to sink in.

Then again, if you want to use that crappy reasoning to think people love your boy, then whatever, good for you. All I know is that you sell comic books for a living and are used to living in a fantasy world.

I dont like Cena at all really, but this is some bad logic. I believe there are way more people who like Cena than hate him, and WWE is just trying to appeal to it's widest fan base. Thus, John Cena returning probably made alot of people happy.

And really it was a lose-lose situation with the final three anyway, I prefer Cena over Trips and Batista when it comes to winning the Rumble

Why did you have to go with a personal attack? I mean really?

And you know people bitch and moan about Cena.
But the bottomline is he gets a reaction, love him or hate him. Dualing chants or not people react to Cena the same couldn't be said of everyone on the roster.

I mean Cena gets people so fired up that 10 minutes after the show while trying to exit the Garden dualing Cena chants broke out in the walkway.

Oh, I definitely agree he's extremely popular. I just don't think that because the Cena haters didn't boo him the MOMENT he made a SURPRISE return is proof that they secretly love him, or whatever it is Borghe is trying to imply.

Couldn't have said it better myself.

Sure, all wrestlers can get old and stale when they have the belt so long. GAF's beloved Edge is still using the same gimmick he was using years ago, just like Cena. Just like Cena, his matches and rivalries usually end up the same as the last one. Cena overcomes the odds and Edge manages to screw his way out of it, just like tonight at the Rumble.

I'm glad to see Cena back. It's a shame Hardy lost his push, but it's not because of Cena. Hardy just really isn't a person I'd see as champ. Don't get me wrong, I would have loved to have seen Hardy win the belt. But the guy can't work the mic and he's best known for high risk moves that'll get himself or someone else seriously hurt or killed in the long run. That's not what the WWE wants. And if you take his high flying away from him, what is there?

Jericho's the only one who was truly buried. A one-month feud with Orton and he's back to midcard, especially after all that push. Are we going to blame Cena for that?

Cena gets a reaction. Whether it be cheers and praise from the majority of wrestling fans or boos and jeers from the snarky audiences. He gets a reaction and that's a hell of a lot better than a lot of wrestlers are getting.

I have fairly high hopes for the WWE when Vince finally steps down. Shane ftw.

with Triple H Going over

Undertaker vs Snitsky

JBL vs Jericho
Bull Rope

Ric Flair vs Shawn Michaels
Ironman

Jeff Hardy, MVP, Shelton Benjamin,Ken Kennedy,Matt Hardy, John Morrison
Money in the Bank

Hulk Hogan , Hornswoggle & Finlay vs Great Khali, Runjin Singh, Big Show
6 man Tag

Thats my Vision.

I just got back from the Royal Rumble. I got a really long story.

I got into the city at 4:45, and waited for the guy from craigslist to show up and give me my ticket. He eventually does and I go back to MSG and wonder around for a half an hour, looking at all the banners. During this time, I see a small group of guys come out with cardboard boxes filled with papers. Once they take them out, I see they are here to promote the next TNA PPV, Against All Odds or Sacirifice or Lockdown or whatever shitty thing TNA does. So those idiots made me laugh.

At 5:30, my dad and stepmom, who love in NYC, want to see me and treat me to a delicious steak dinner. So we go to this place, Keen's chophouse, and there are long clay pipes all over the ceiling. This place looks straight out of 1920. So I get a 50 DOLLAR FILET MIGNON, and though small, it was ridiculously rich and juicy and wonderful. When I go to the bathroom now at 6:30, my friend Ross calls me. He asks me if I'm on line. I say no, I'm eating a filet mignon. He says I should hurry up or I'll never get in on time. So I must skip dessert (which I learn was butterscotch ice cream and cinnamon apples, what a shame) and go back to MSG.

Its 7 now, and there is a large line, about 3-4 people wide, outside the main entrance. I ask if this is the line to pick up tickets, and I am told this is the line to get in. So I walk ALL THE WAY AROUND MADISON SQUARE GARDEN to the back of the line. 45 minutes later, I get in just in time to see the last minute of Yang/Moore vs. Deuce & Domino. Tazz and Styles come out and are loved, Coach and Cole come out and are booed, and JR and King are loved. Lillian sings the star spangled banner, they show an awesome opening video, CUE THE PYRO AND BALLYHOO, and the Royal Rumble begins. From where I was seated, I couldn't see people coming out of the entrance, but what I could see, the fans there were fucking crazy.

RIC FUCKING FLAIR VS. MVP: I'm guessing they showed this on air, but there was a GREAT GREAT GREAT promo video about Flair's road to retirement. Flair is universally loved except for two guys a few rows behind me, who booed all the faces and cheered all the heels. They were extremely annoying, and I'm guessing they like TNA. Flair's promo was not one of his best but everyone loved it. MVP got many cheers and boos. The crows the entire night rarely booed anyone. Deuce & Domino got more boos then MVP, even. A fine little match. Recurring theme throughout the night: Ten counts. I think there was one in every match.

JERICHO VS. JBL: Jericho got a giant reaction for his intro, but then was quickly shown to be JUST A GUY. This match got the least amount of heat for anything, but both guys were trying really hard. Or beating the shit out of each other. I know with HD they have to work snug but alot of stuff looked brutal. People hated the DQ finish, but loved JBL being choked out. JBL sold like a champ all the way back. Worst match on the show, but is was a solid brawl.

Everyone loved Ashley and Santino. Everyone.

EDGE VS. REY: Crowd was 70-30 Edge. I would actually say that Edge got the 2nd biggest reaction on the show after HHH, or he tied with Cena. Every time Edge did anything a roar would just erupt from the crowd. Rey got alot of boos. I always figured he was universally loved, but only the kids supported him here. No matter how battered Rey was, they refused to cheer for him. The only time there was alot of support for Rey was when he hit Vicki. The assholes in back of me chanted "Check the beaner's papers!" and "Rey's on HGH!" I guess they forgot Rey's from San Deigo and Edge was on the same pharmacy list. But what should I expect, they like TNA. They also chanted "You fucked up" for the doublestomp. God I hated them. Except for the final part in the rumble, this match had the most heat. It was also the best match, and these two also worked very snug but not stiff. Get great sequence. Both of those guys are just so great.

Only when Santino started ranting against the Mets and Yankees did the crowd spew venom at him. He is the best thing on telelvision. Maria, even from far away, looks like a goddess. Can't wait for Playboy. Oily guy was cheered and then soundly booed.

JEFF HARDY VS. RANDY ORTON: The crowd loved Hardy, just loved him. Orton got many cheers as well, but he was still booed out of the building louder than anyone else before him. Jeff Hardy really is amazing, and Orton is much better at keeping a crowd alive then he was earlier in the year. Even though there was still a crowd killing chinlock thrown in there. That moonsault looked really, really bad, and the ending seemed rush and abrupt, but it was still a pretty good match. Seems stupid for Jeff to fall down to one RKO, but then, Randy never hit it on Jeff until then, so it makes perfect sense.

THE ROYAL RUMBLE: Undertaker got a huge pop. His entrance live gave me chills. When he came out first I knew HBK would be second. God they are so, so great. Just ring generals. Whenever someone new would come in, HBK would always be there to bump for them. He was pulling a 92 Flair. Santino coming in was great. Then Khali came. He was the only person on the entire show that was UNIVERSALLY DESTESTED. No one liked him, and everyone was glad to see him go. Johnny Nitro comes in got a really big pop, and then after he got in the ring no one cared about him. This happened to a bunch of guys: Shelton, Chavo, Palumbo, Carlito, Big Daddy V, and Cody. Hardcore Holly came out to crickets. There were only a few guys that got no noise at all when they came out: Holly, Snitsky, Henry, and Elijah Burke. Noble got a pretty loud chant before lasting 10 seconds. I think he was lying on the floor and may have gotten hurt, but I couldn't see from my angle. Punk a very loud pop for his intro, twice as loud then Palumbo or Carlito, but after he hit like 30 knees in a row people stopped caring. Dreamer got a bigger pop then Foley, and they hated it when Dreamer got knocked over early. Batista also got alot of noise but a bunch of boos, in the early video and when he came in. Batista is still pretty bad, mostly because everything he does is just jerky and not smooth. There were a bunch of times were he would start running, go 2 steps, stop, go back to steps, and start running again. Snuka and Piper were great nostalia bits, but jesus did they suck. Piper was HUUUUUUUUUGE.Hornswaggle got a monster pop, and so did Kennedy. People were PISSED that Shelton got kicked out that early. Finlay is a full fledged babyface now. Triple H got the biggest pop of the night. No one expected Cena, so everyone popped, and he was only booed when he went after HHH. The final three, with the staredown between HHH, Cena, and Batista was so electric. The ending wasn't as good as last years, but the beginning with Taker and HBK just being amazing was well worth it. After HHH got dumped, the place went crazy and I bolted to catch my train back.

Overall, best 100 bucks I ever spent.

And I almost forgot: On the big screens outside of the Garden, they kept showing videos for UFC 81 with Brock's debut. That will be BUYS.

oo Fantasy booking. :lol

O by the by are we trying the whole from PPV to PPV wrestling thread or are we sticking to the monthly thing?

Anyhow, how I would like to see Wrestlemania 24 played out by Penguin :D

WWE Title
Cena vs Orton
Honestly, I hate the main event scene on Raw going into Mania unless something drastic happens.
You got Cena/Orton, Orton/HHH, HHH/Cena. All of them have been done before and really no matter who wins.

WHC
Edge vs Taker
Honestly, it is something fresh. As far as I can tell it has never been done on PPV I could sorely be mistaken though.
There is inborn history between the two revolving around the title and it is easy money really.

ECW Title
Chavo vs Punk vs Shelton
I don't know I thought they were pushing Shelton but he got dumped in the Rumble pretty damn quickly.

US Title
Matt Hardy vs MVP
The best feud of 07. Sadly, it never had a payoff. Mania would be the perfect time.

Batista vs Umaga
Batista most likely won't be in the title scene come Mania. He has already done the Henry and Khali thing so really he has Big Daddy V or Umaga as big threats left.

Money in the Bank
Rey, Finlay, Kennedy, Jeff Hardy, Morrison and someone else don't know.

I really don't know what to do with the rest of the roster. I can't imagine Triple H keeping himself off the Wrestlemania main event two years in a row, but really I think Cena/Orton is the money match since they have unfinished business.

I don't know who should retire Flair like it should be a heel on the thrust of breaking free so I guess the ideal candidate would be Mr. Kennedy right now. I am not a huge fan but eh whatever.

Same issue with HBK. I would love to see Taker vs HBK at Mania, but then don't know where that leaves the WHC.

I still think Flair should somehow end up winning the title, then retiring with a promo that's like "NO ONE will ever be the man, because no one will ever beat the man", and then it opens the late spring up to a title tournament. At least a tournament is a good way to start up new feuds, and if there's gonna be more draft reshuffle BS, might as well combine them.

And to everyone in this thread who thinks Cena coming back means the stop of the Hardy push, :lol Everyone could tell he wasn't winning today, he's going for the MitB.

Would it be too much to do a thread from Rumble to Mania?

The Road to Wrestlemania GAF Thread or something.

Anyhow, traditionally I've been a huge fan of No Way Out for the most part.
Let's see how this year's plays out.

And I agree with bjork.
I actually thought Flair would have been a surprise entrant in the Rumble match. Would have been nice to see him win and build towards a final match at Mania. would put Edge or Orton over huge.

i felt both happy to see cena come back, and, well, confused, and, kinda fucked up.

I missed a few SD! shows and i was expecting rey misterio

but, when cena came out,a lot of things popped into my mind, like, wtf is gonna happen with with jeff h. but, i mean

dsGSDAGasgdoasjhq]hrjaq

my head will asplode!

Yeah, Hardy's going to win the Money In The Bank.

THEN, he will win the next time around. Hardy's like fucking electric right now.

How would it work?? Like, someone makes a thread now and it lasts until Wrestlemania or what? I'll make a thread with some banners and shit real fast if we want it.

Yeah because there is really only 3 weeks in between Rumble and No Way Out. But close to 2 months till Mania. I guess 9 weeks if the Rumble countdown was correct.

So instead of doing one for Feb which is a short month with a PPV in the middle or one till No Way Out just do one that covers wrasslin still Mania.

Granted, I guess we should I don't know take a vote or something.

do you think they give a shit really? :lol I think they will come to talk wherever they see a wrestling thread. I'm ready to pull the trigger on a new thread now if you want.

Big New Thread's a comin'... with the help of Penguin I'm going to make a bigger better version of our Wrasslin' thread and it will last longer than a month. Maybe tomorrow.

I believe that is what you internets guys call owned? If you seriously didn't hear the roof blow off at Cena's entrance, you need a better sound system. and it was only in dolby 2.0 and you could STILL hear it go sky high.

Then again, if you want to use that crappy reasoning to think people love your boy, then whatever, good for you. All I know is that you sell comic books for a living and are used to living in a fantasy world.
umm... when a lot of people don't cheer, you can still hear that effect in the ring. Last night EVERYONE cheered and you could hear the sound mixing start to go flat because of it.

and I don't sell comics for a living, I do programming and security which I make a ridiculous amount of money at using logic and education every day which then allows me afford to own my own online comic shop where I do programming, security, and business managment every day. Yeah... lots of crazy logic and dumb fantasies in my head. :lol

i'm serious.

Has nothing to do with liking TNA, and everything to do with faces typically being boring and heels typically being interesting. When my friends and I go to live events, that's mostly what we do (save for the few guys we love no matter which way they are), so I guess you'd hate us too.

I'd rather people be doing that, then cheering people who completely suck in the ring just because the WWE convinces them that those wrestlers should be cheered for. (See the last time we went to an event, and one Bobby Lashley.)

Yes I would. If you just boo, that's fine, but if you're catcalling for Flair to be shot in the ring or for Rey to be shipped to Mexico, then you're just retards.
