Hi-Fi Rush is in the top-10 on Metacritic for this year. The only first-party game that beats it is Metroid.

You could ask exactly the same question you asked for MS about Sony or Nintendo. They aren't exactly strong in a wide variety of genres either with their first-party production. Truth is, all three main console manufacturers are dangerously close to be realistically defined one-trick ponies.

Made by thirds. Available everywhere. But a lot of sp games from nintendo and sony sells 20mi or more copies.

It's quite easily the highest-quality first-party title in the whole industry at the moment, and the one that receives the best ongoing support to boot. Nothing currently on the market compares.

People still whining about $70 games when the base cost of games hadn't increased from $60 since 2007? Every other entertainment media has increased in price since 2007, but games, despite being larger and taking more money to produce, should stay the same price as the mid-2000s? Get a grip..

In fairness, every other entertainment media hasn't been selling DLC and micro transactions that sometimes impact the actual value of the base game since 2006.

A $70 game with battle passes and/or season passes + cosmetic stores is still a tough pill to swallow for many
