If it took them 5 minutes to make of course it should be free.
Depends on how they budgeted it. Kamiya put a pretty concise explanation that essentially any extra content made beyond the scope of the original project is, and should be charged as such. I think it's reasonable.

Could someone PLEASE link to the JoJo ASB link on the Japanese webstore? I can't open the damn site for the life of me @_@

Does anyone know if the PSN version JJBA ASB has any kind of DRM that would prevent me from playing it on 2 PS3's while on 2 different accounts? I remember some games having some kind of 24 hour lock to prevent that.

No word on Region lock so far.
If you have a US PS3, and your friend has an EU PS3, both of you just need to log into the JPN account and dl it, and enjoy the fabulousness of JoJo~

I'm still extremely skeptical of these infinites.

Alot of people, especially early on in a game like this, just pay attention to combo counter and don't set the CPU to any escape options.

The only infinite I've seen that looks bad is Jolyne(still playing her) because it's a standing meterless infinite off a light. but even that one I want to test before just accepting it.

The ones in timed modes are whatever to me and I have a strong feeling that Diavolo's J.H in that video isn't a hard knockdown. This game does have tech rolls IIRC.

Yeah, I played a little this morning (couldn't wait for my physical copy lol) and you can tech roll, but I haven't fought Diavolo yet, so can say for certain about his jump H.

I'm starting to think stick might be better, at least for those who are more accustomed to it.

Vanilla Ice, Old Joseph, Lisa Lisa, Anasui and a Part 1 character, who apparently is the Chinese midget who gave Dio the poison

That last one is more of a wild guess based on an abreviation they found. I really doubt they will make him playable. I probably wouldn't even buy him if they did.

I doubt it as well, maybe he was meant to be like the Heroes and Heralds cards in UMvC3, since JoJo ASB has a mode similar to it.

CMN is just a common file found in multiple story modes.
Why even give Wang Chung the chinaman abbreviation? It doesn't make sense.

Should I buy this game?

I don't know anything about Jojo (I heard the name many years ago in Jojo's bizarre adventure) but I know nothing about it other than the fact that the 2D art at the time was very good.

I love 1v1 fighting games à la SF4 (assists and tags make things too crazy for my simple brain)

I LOVE over the top humor and foolishness.

I LOVE the game's art style and the gameplay videos look awesome.

However, I don't play fighting games solo, I play them online and if I have to import this game, who am I going to play it with online?

I also no anderstan japones.

Please help me decide, GAF.

Read JoJo. At the very least watch JoJo. This is a JoJo game and it's made for fans, you wouldn't get many 'oh wow' moments from the game if you just jump in.

Yeah, if nothing else check out a few episodes of the recent anime, and some of the manga (don't know who puts it out). One of the things that drew me to Jojo in the first place was the craziness, and the game goes out of its way to represent and include a lot of fan service.

It also seems so far to be a standup fighting game in the more competitive sense, although obviously not to the degree of a game design around being a competitive fighter.

While the fighting mechanics seem decent enough at first sight, this is largely a fanservice game that celebrates the 25th anniversary of JoJo. If I were you I'd wait a bit for reactions of fighting fans to see if the mechanics hold up. If you are interested in buying it, I'd strongly recommend you read the manga and/or watch the anime, since you will get so much more out of this game.
