Why have you bought Astrobot up for? Most platformers are optimised and run 60fps. From don't make platformers. Elden Ring is whole different game compared to Astrobot.

Shit is strong but mid is about right. Gow 2018 and Last of Us set a high bar precident that was not followed...

Yeh, I'd say that's unlikely, Sony have more shares in kadokawa than Kakao do. However, now they have said that they are willing to sell, or even actively looking for a buyer, it is possible Kakao may be interested just the same as Sony is, but I don't think this is anything to do with a hostile takeover.

I doubt Sony cares about either Crash or Spyro at this point. Those aren't big sellers anymore. Sony's own Astrobot outsold them. They could just invest in that, instead of bartering for IPs with their direct competitor.

This is something I've had in mind since that studio went independent, but I don't even think their current developer will make it past the alleged Spyro game they're making... I like them very much but these franchises don't have any pull, not even enough to keep their low budget lights on.

I cant remember where I saw it but there was talk about it from Japanese journalists due to the founding members of Kadokawa no longer being there or something (although one source said one of the founders was arrested?)m could all be rumour of course.

I very much doubt they would even post about Sony's intent for acquisition if that wasn't the case, if they aren't for sale (or considering a sale) they would just say so at that point.
