Eh, HiiiPower is still one of the best songs Kendrick has ever done, GKMC included, but I doubt everything will be produced by Cole. Small fraction at best, I'm thinking 2-3 songs.
he really is hit and miss. to be honest I want him to get beats from others for his next album and avoid producing

I really think Kendrick may have just dropped a classic. I like almost every song (Im trying to like BSF) and even Real has grown on me.

Got around to listening to the bonus tracks and I can't understand why Black Boy Fly didn't make the cut because I think it would fit in nicely on the 2nd half of the album.

How is this album if I didn't really like Section.80? I appreciate some of his stuff but I feel like too many of his raps try a little too hard. Too many bleeding-obvious socio-political observations, and that awful track at the end with Ab-Soul where he basically explained the whole album to the listener defensively, as if there was any subtext that needed covering to begin with. Yeah, I get it Kendrick, you're smart AND you like to tell people to suck your dick!
That said I do really like some of his stuff. If I found some of Section.80 trite, will I find this to be an improvement?

I'd say that the concept here is much better executed. It's a story told trough interludes with songs inspired by what's happening in the story. Some have obvious links (like Sherane and Sing About Me), some are only thematically related (like Swimming Pools and Good Kid).
Overall, there less hand holding while keeping the cohesion. Given your stance on S80, you'll probably want to skip the interludes after the first listen, but I think you'll appreciate the album. Not as much as the rest of us, though

The only place it could logically go is after Compton but Compton does, in terms of narrative, exactly what Black Boy Fly does anyway.
If it was included it would most definitely be filler.

For the MAJORITY of consumers do they sound great? yes
you can find better headphones for cheaper, no question, but if you don't mind paying extra for cans that look great then you won't go wrong. ALso vast majority of people aren't listening to uncompressed audio files so Beats will suffice.
Beats Executives just came out (first non-Monster Beats headphones) so I would look out for those before getting the Studios
get something cheaper and then when you genuinely care about audio see if you want something else instead. I have these and they give out pretty fantastic sound even without the amp I'm using. wont need new cans for years

As someone who just got studios last month, I agree with Ken.
Are they overpriced? Hell yeah.
Do they enhance your listening experience? Definitely.
It pretty much comes down to how much you want to spend. Personally I came into some extra money and I just thought I'd treat myself. Not regretting my purchase at all.

I honestly feel all the beats on the album sound VERY familiar, but the fact that they are pieced together very well makes them seem fresh.
Surely these people got credit, right?
I love them and laugh at those who throw jabs at them. I have Studios and they are about a thousand times more comfortable to wear than the Audiotechnica's ($150) people like to recommend, and the ugly ass Sennheisers.
Best thing about the Beats is the build quality. They used to break easily during the first batch, but Monster improved the design after the criticism they got. I got mine since January 2011 and they are rock solid. You'll never have to worry about sound disappearing from one side, cable ripping, etc.
Absolutely recommend them. The badass aesthetic of the product is just a plus.
Tip: Get yourself a good pair of rechargeable batteries (I recommend enercell) and you are set. I purchased these batteries on October 2010 and they have worked wonders. Sometimes I listen 5 hours of music a day and the charge in these batteries last me 2 weeks.
