Killer is Dead making its way to PC

The last two games in that list are made by western developers.

Yeah, HotD is iffy because even the source game was developed in the West, but Ninja Gaiden is relevant because Tecmo has never published a game on PC as far as I can remember, even though it's certainly going to be hot garbage. With any luck it'll be enough to convince Koei to re-release the already translated Romance of the Three Kingdoms strategy games, which would be awesome.

I also like how one of the new things is essentially them trying to make the story make more sense. The story is both deceptively simple and yet stupidly complex, but there's an easy way and a more complicated way to think about it.

I recently just bought the 360 version for that same price.
Looks like this PC version will be a double dip come the holiday sale.

The way I see it, it's a simple story set in a complicated universe. I have more trouble trying to understand why things are the way they are (some times I just have to accept they're that way) than understanding the actual plot.

I love No More Heroes 1 & 2 and really enjoyed Liberation Maiden. Having a Suda51 game on PC is nothing short of awesome. I'd inject this straight into my veins if I weren't mortally terrified of needles.

Glad to have it there but from what I have heard about the game it falls to the "buy when 2,50€ on Steam sale" category.

Got tempted to buy the ps3 for quite some time now, happy to see I should end up playing it in 1080p+AA.

Really, really, glad to see more japanese game getting a PC release.

Now if capcom could do the same with dragon dogma...

Please tell me that EA does not own Shadows of the Damned and that there is hope for it too.

Still, amazing news and I don't need to be greedy. Suda on PC is a dream coming true.

I picked this up during the holidays for $19.99 but I haven't touched it yet. I'll be double dipping on the PC release as long as they don't fuck up the port. Really surprising to see this announced for PC. I hope this trend continues.

That's a fair way to think about it. The strangest and hardest to understand element is the world they live in, which is essentially a pseudo storybook with strong sci-fi elements, but that's overly simplifying it. Also not helped is that some of the characters are left fairly ambiguous to their true thoughts and intentions, and a lot isn't said outright, you sort of just have to pay attention. But then even when paying attention it can be hard to understand, cause HOLY SHIT A UNICORN. WHY AM I IN A REOCCURRING DREAM? IS THAT THOMAS THE TANK ENGINE? And things like that distract and make some things harder to swallow. But then a lot of the characters are rather simple, and the events that happen are pretty easy to understand. But to fully understand it gets more difficult as the world they live in, purposeful ambiguous factors, and just how storybookish weird a lot of things are.

Wow, so many Japanese games are heading to Steam. 2014 must be a great year.

I want to see some Tales games in Steam too:D

Killer is Dead is ... pretty average and somewhat annoying at times. I hope you guys at least try it out when the price is cheap enough.

I like to see it as Cowboy Bebop on crack, the structure is fairly similar.

This is unexpected.
Playing this with a good frame-rate will be glorious.
Another console game that I wouldn't have wasted money on if I knew a PC version was coming...
Really wasn't expecting this one.
Time to do the same I did with the PS3 versions of Castlevania, Enslaved and Revengeance, sell it...

Hmm, that's great news. The console version is an unpolished mess due to severe screen tearing.

Interesting. Shame about the £=$ conversion, though. I'm assuming Steam, right?

It is Deep Silver, so I shouldn't be surprised it's coming to PC, but Suda on mah Steamz can only be a good thing. The more Japanese games on PC, the merrier I'll be.

Yep. Killer is Dead's story is actually pretty nice Way better handled than past Grasshoper games.

Don't have a PC to run it on, but just coming in to share my love of the game. I didn't understand the story and there were clear flaws in the gameplay, but the bosses were wonderful and it's one of those games that doesn't give a shit about how progressive you think games should be. Also, dat whole train mission and dialogue.

Wonderful news. I avoided the console release because I heard there were some pretty large performance issues so a PC release is perfect.

And great price too. Long may this trend continue.
