Killer is Dead making its way to PC

Not necessarily PC related, but if I liked No More Heroes but none of the other Grasshopper Manufacture games, should I bother with Killer Is Dead?

Will double dip. One of my favorite games gen. I loved the story so much. It seemed like a Suda game but with a slightly more coherent story. Still was crazy

oh my...shadows of the damned and no more heroes now please?

day 1 buy, this game always looked awesome to me, but didnt have consoles to play it. PC gaming ftw

Yup, day one. You have my money Suda.

Now gives us Shadows of the Damned and Killer 7. But I'm completely fine with just this.

Would loveeee Killer7 on PC. It would look so clean. Never going to happen though. I tried booting the game up on Dolphin a while back but it ran no bueno on my PC.

Wow, didn't se that coming. This is a really promising turn of events if we start seeing more of these quirky Japanese action games on PC. Bayonetta may happen yet :)

I really enjoyed what I played of it on PS3, even with the technical limitations.

Shadow of the Damned uses Unreal 3. Should run like god on any PC. And is a game that lacks game+ mode and other things good to get on a PC port.

You could try the ps2 version (pcsx2) should run better.

Yes killer7 looks very good thanks to it's artwork, holds up well.

This is amazing news. I hope we got more japanese games on PC. It's one big blow to consoles exclusivity. It was for these games I bought consoles

Killer Is Dead has to be one of the most stylish games with surprisingly satisfying combat coming from Suda. As far as game play goes it has to be one of his best yet. Can't imagine how great it's going to look in 60 frames.

So, in one year-ish:

- Deadly Premonition
- Naruto: Ultimate Ninja Storm 3
- Ikaruga
- Resident Evil 4 HD
- Killer is Dead
- King of Fighters XIII
- Metal Slug 3
- Trails in the Sky First/Second
- Metal Gear Rising
- Agarest
- Typing of the Dead: Overkill
- Ninja Gaiden Yaiba (lol)

Reeeeaaally awesome trend, hopefully it continues.

Yeah, this is great. I'm guessing the increased cost of developing for next-gen consoles is a factor also making japanese devs look elsewhere.

Wow, I'll double dip. Ended up being my favorite game from Grasshopper Manufacture. Can't wait to play it at higher resolutions and framerates. :D

Best news all day. Didn't pick it up on PS3 so I'll definitely pick this up on PC, the added content is a new bonus too!

Excellent news. Not a completely surprising one though, given the engine (UE3) used which should make it a cinch to port over, just like the many other belated PC ports we've gotten so far.

Japanese devs getting their feet wet on the PC/Steam with some no/low risk ports is one of the best things to happen with PC gaming in the past couple of years or so.

While it has been an admittedly mixed bag so far, I think that they have to start somewhere, so I am inclined to forgive less than stellar ports as long as the next ones are an improvement.

SUDA51, welcome to PC! Have my moneys!
Give me Shadows of the Damned and I will give you even more money.

At this rate I will need consoles solely for exclusives.

This makes a lot sense. Last generation went on too long and enthusiast console gamers must have started to jump ship, and along with them came more console/Japanese ports. More character action and fighting games have come to PC in the last 3 years, then the 10 years before that. Jrpgs next please!

Very mixed feelings about this. On one hand it's cool I'll have a reason to replay the game, on the other it's short of a confirmation that the game that was supposed to put Suda back on the Killer7 track fell flat on its face.

I still love this guy.

Not really a new trend. It's very usual to see lots of console ports at the end of every gen. Old gen cannot push software anymore and new gen hasn't caught up yet, so you see lot's of publishers testing the PC waters.

What do you mean?

It is a new trend. When did we last see this amount of Japanese games release on the PC within such a short span of time?
