So I'm going to start a class action because all game boxes say 1080p on them. We all gonna be rich! Whose with me? Anyone? Hello?
There's a difference between being crappy and being broken. What was the false advertising with Halo and AC? The dedicated server thing in Halo? Well they have a good defense to that, in that they're working on it. Not really worth bringing a case for. Otherwise, I don't see what they'd sue about. You can't sue because you bought a broken game. People buy crappy products all the time; just because it's crappy doesn't make it illegal.
They just want money but let's be honest, you know why devs can get away with shit? Because we allow it.
Hopefully stuff like this sets a precedent that even something as minor as 1080pr shouldn't be allowed to get by.
So if they can sue it for not looking as good, can I sue them for the single player being boring?
Can someone explain how a lawsuit like this happens, but how other games like AC and Halo seemingly get away with it? I mean, I'm shocked Ubi/MS aren't sued already for that. I can understand false advertising in Killzone's case, but it seems someone could just as easily do the same for Halo/AC and with greater success.
Curious to see the outcome.
If the fans win, wonder if more companies will be more honest with their footage/promises or will we see more lawsuits follow
Fucking what.
Someone going to get a lawsuit rolling over the trees in GTA5 on XB1/PS4? I mean, they were moving in the trailer.
Please make or post in a LTTP thread. I'm curious how it'll seem to people who play it over a year after launch.
what a waste of oxygen this guy is

I wonder if someone can file for MCC not working as advertised.
At one point, this is good b/c it'll make pubs and devs think twice before the market something and not deliver.
On the other hand, get a life man.
Lol beat me to itIf he wins, I also want a refund for every Ubisoft game.
You can sue for anything in America. It's just that most cases get settled out of court before it even gets to a trial.
But the game is 1080p. Even the multiplayer is technically 1080p. It just re-uses parts of the previous frame(s). Still 1080p.
Maybe not to you. But false advertising is a big deal.1080p is not that important.

Killzone's multiplayer graphics were blurry to the point of distraction
The game does look like pure shit online, Iike vaseline on your eyes.
Umm...no?

Its not going to lead to anything but more people suing for more stupid nonsense. You know what, if this leads to companies having to put the ACTUAL native res on the back of the box, I'm fine with that.
If this is pure shit I don't want to know what you think good looks like.
I know, I'm (almost) a lawyer
I just don't see the cause of action if someone was to sue about the MCC or AC:U.
