Last time they mentioned that a teaser trailer was coming soon it came out like, two hours later. Here's hoping the same thing happens again.
One of my fave KOFXIII videos.
They nailed the guard point idea with Maxima in XIII, can't think of another character who does the mechanic more justice.
Anti-air guard point with standing C into HD bypass super into empty cancel Neomax for an anywhere juggle never got old.
There was just so much you could do with him in that game, he looked boss too.

Oh man, this is the best news.
I expected more than the HK build but not friggin 20. Angel, Maxima, Chin, K', Terry, KOD etc. should all be safe bets.
Feels like SNK has hit their groove and production is going very smoothly, the pace they are releasing new info at is almost too good to be true.
lol yeah, that music gets stuck in my head for days every time I revisit that video.
Very unfortunate to hear the man passed away, RIP. That is definitely the Maxima theme in my book.
There is still a lot they can show for sure even after the character reveals, everything from mechanics vids to character/team specific vids, tech vids, story bits and match vids.
There's also that KOF anime that is supposed to be releasing soon. Wonder if the fast pace of reveals has anything to do with that?

Yeah the PSX rumor date of September (give or take a month) seems plausible.
Either way, it looks like it will definitely be a 2016 release.

ooooh nice. Athena and these new characters look hella nice. I can tell I'm going to have a hard time choosing who I will team up with King in this game.
Luong is definitely looking like on of the first characters I'll try and Nelson looks really sweet. SNK always did do great boxers and Nelson looks like he will continue that tradition.

SNK needs to slow the hell down. 2 New characters in the same trailer? Just one week after they revealed Sylvie? Thats how you create too much expectations.
The new characters look nice but as expected I couldnt get a read on Nelson since all boxers in fighting games look the same to me. Will have to check him out since the South American team is the one I'm most interested in.

Nelson is also new. Athena is one the iconic characters of the series.
Nelson looks awesome, but if we were getting a boxer I would have rather had Vanessa
If anything, I agree with the sentiment in the other thread: he looks more like he's taking over where Heavy D! left off, than he does Vanessa.
Maybe whoever was the one who wanted a "redesign of Heavy D! with better designed team mates" might be the one who gets their wish granted.
Nelson is a new character too.
Athena is a zoning character, lots of shenanigans with her psycho balls

Out of the three you listed, Luong would be the only new one.
In regards to "how the other two are"...uh, Billy I think has always been pretty good in KOF history. He was bonkers in KOF XIII. Leona, I'm not so sure about. She's hard to use in XIII, if that's any indication.

Leona is a great character with both long range and close range moves, she can also be used as a zoner.
She was only considered hard in XIII because of the drive cancel and HD combos, those aren't in XIV so it's a non-issue now.
She can be fun and very effective at any level.

Billy's your man for long range. He's got long ranged pokes with that bo staff of his, and he's still pretty good up close, at least that's the case in XIII.
Leona might be more beginner friendly in XIV, I just know she was hard to use effectively in XIII.
In regards to other "long ranged" fighters in KOF, specifically in XIV, both Chang and Maxima have BIG FAT normals and long range specials. Athena is also a great projectile zoner, but her normals aren't big and fat. Some of these newcomers might also be zoners, we'll have to wait and see. That's all the advice I can impart.

Random theory: Nelson's scars and metal arm, combined with the tire track gloves could possibly mean he was injured in a car accident and now fights to show he can surpass his past.

Does a perfect job of showing what I was saying in the other thread: it might just be a Sefafuku a like, but it takes lots of weird little differences from Athena over the years, with a few elements to make it unique.
I hope for good alt colors on her. Should be able to make references to SO MUCH with this base.

Yes, there have been a few released. They're not as easy to find as they should be, but they're normally released on the corresponding PSN Blog post with the trailers.
There hasn't been one for the Aquarium/Bar, the art for Neo-Esaka was only seen in some promo-art used during one of the HK shows, and I don't think we've seen one at all of the Antonov Arena.
