Does it bother anyone else that they use the Hollow Bastion song when it's Radiant Garden?
I know it's the same place and all, but it just sounds like "last dungeon" music and that just doesn't fit with Radiant Garden to me.
I dunno it's just a weird thing that has bugged me for about a decade now I guess.

Honestly I just hate the KH2 Hollow Bastion / Radiant Garden themes in general. I loved the original Hollow Bastion theme from KH despite its repetitiveness considering how long a section that is in the game but the newer version bugs the shit out of me.

No joke, my reaction to that scene was "Holy shit, I've actually been pronouncing it right?"
Just got through Xaldin on KH2. I haven't played the Final Mix version of this game before and I'm really enjoying the AS fights. I've only messed with Zexion and Marluxia so far, but the mechanics of those fights are a lot of fun, and I like how much strategy is involved. I was struggling on Zexion for a while, and ended up coming back at 29 and beating him pretty easy which felt like cheating. I've only tried Marluxia a few times, but the circle of death phase of that fight is kind of messing me up. I just figured out you have to reflect through that rose bomb thing. When I played this game when I was younger, Demyx was a huge challenge for me, but after bashing my head into Zexion for a while, I breezed through water boy
Normal Saix is alright with Berserk. The problem is accidentally missing him with the first swing...and dying cos he then destroys you. You can usually move fast enough to dodge his attacks with the sword though.
Data is a little different.
And it'd be hilarious if Ardyn's fight in KH3 was better than the FFXV fight. Then again, it'd be pretty hard not to be better...
Ardyn fight ala Sephiroth in KH1? Yeah I'd take that. More so than having Noctis in KH3 (which is probably definitely going to happen, although if it does I can't imagine how Nomura will feel including him in what will be his own game).

I feel like I'm on the minority but I think KH1 has aged fine. It's certainty worse than KH2 but IMO that says more about how good KH2 is than how badly KH1 has aged. My one issue with the game was the camera and right stick control in this remaster fixes that so I'm good. I also like that the extra cutscenes in final mix flesh out RIku's side of the story. For me the game is between an 8.5-9 even by contemporary standards.
I also kinda like Chain of Memories. Once again much worse than KH2 and even KH1 but much more passable than people give it credit for. IMO as far as playing it goes sleights are the key. They make the game so much more enjoyable and really break the game in some fun ways. Story wise the Disney worlds are junk (rehashes of KH1 stories except for every instance of "heart" is replaced with "memory" but everything that happens in the halls is gold as is the entirety of Reverse/Rebirth. I'd probably give the original GBA release a 7.8 and the PS2 release a 8.0. I think my order would be something like KH1: 8.7, Re:COM: 8.0, KH2: 10, BBS: 9.2, 3D: 9.2.
Also Hell yes to an Ardyn fight in KHIII. Much better villain than Sephiroth, Magna Insomnia is amazing, and as I posted in the FFXV spoiler thread
I think Ardyn's character could be modified really well/interestingly to fit the Kingdom Hearts Mythos considering its emphasis of Darkness. They could put something in there about how Ardyn's heart absorbed the Heartless making his heart immortal or something like that.
While I firmly think we'll get Sephiroth Round 3 in KH3, Ardyn would be rad. He's such a cool villain with a ton of potential but a sadly lack lustre boss fight in his game. He could definitely fit well in KH and be a fun fight. Though I imagine we'll just get Noct, probably young, probably in Twilight Town and part of The Struggle or something. I can't see him showing up proper age somewhere. Maybe Olympus?
As a lot of other people said, beat the Hades Cup and then just repeat the Rock titan fight.
By default it gives you 4000 exp each time you defeat him.If you also have exp accessories equipped it can reach up to 7200 exp.So every 2 wins you will level up
Btw I started Chain of Memories on proud and I have some problems damn it.
I just finished Wonderland but the boss fights gave me a really hard time.
First of all I think I don't have enough attack cards. The highest I have is a level 7 one, so I try to use triplets to counter that, nut triplets eat up you cards per each reload.
So I quickly run out of cards :/.
I mean if I remember correctly you can buy cards from a moogle shop, but where can I find one? I don't have a special card that says I can create one, so what's the deal?
Also i learned the first sleight that Sora does the tackling attack but it's not that good and I'd rather use a normal triplet instead.I mean, I know I can use a triplet that's not in the range of this sleight but is there a way to just deactivate it?
Finally when leveling up what do you reccomend of upgrading?Your health or your CP?For now I don't have many card so I just upgrade my health. My CP is 300
Moogle shops are random drops, and I'm surprised you don't have one yet. Maybe try using a roulette room card which will give you a chance to get a moogle room card. Also, you're going to want to go pretty hard into CP so you don't get screwed by the card limit.
Level is not that important especially if you've picked shield at the start of the game because you get leaf bracer and second chance earlier.
At your level you probably have second chance, but if you don't I guess things get trickier.
The latest you get second chance is at level 51 if you've picked the sword at the start.
Just about done with KH2 now, just got the last Xemnas fight and then post game stuff like Lingering Will and the data rematches. Playing on Critical and I feel it might have been easier than Proud? Like I did the Roxas fight in one go and was around a similar level to when I did it on FM+ Proud mode.
Also just beat Sephiroth, probably fewer attempts than my last go but still died a bunch from silly mistakes on my end. It's just a really good boss fight, the moves he does all have ways to beat them and there never feels like any cheap "nopes" out of combos and he has openings. The BBS post game stuff is just cruel on proud mode, like they never have any openings and can just pop out of combos whenever they feel like and love to just teleport around you a bunch.
Why not both? Sephiroth so Cloud and Sephy can have a final match that once and for all sorts that shit out (and has them looking like just their normal FFVII designs) where it ends up that Cloud is a Nobody and Sephiroth is a Heartless and they are both from ZACK. And then they reunite at the end.
Finally beat Unknown for the first time last night. Man, that roulette move he uses is the worst. On my winning run, he didn't actual use it until his final stage, which is probably why I was able to beat him: I only had to escape a couple of times.

It's kind of crazy how on Critical difficulty a lot of challenging bosses go down in mere seconds if you go for Decisive Pumpkin/Zantetsuken/Sonic Rave.
Just started KH1, completed Traverse Town, man the feels hit strong right from the main menu music, it's been so long since KH1.
I forgot about the silly faces and the cheesy J-pop opening, this really is an early '00s game.
That said the movement is janky as fuck thank god you get the dodge roll early on.
I also noticed a new cutscene with Riku i think, were those added in the Final Mix?
Tho Marluxias attacks are IMO by far the easiest ones to read and counter. He is the one AS/Data fight I can nail no problem while Larxene for me is a nightmare too.

Any advice for someone trying to go through KH2 gummi stuff and get an S on all missions? Should I build my own custom ship(s) instead of using the models supplied by the game? What's the best default ship to build off of?

Well that might be a little problem especially on proud, because you don't have second chance yet so you can die easily if you're not careful,
but since you are on standard if you have good defensive accessories and fire resistance you can escape the sudden/random deaths.Do you have any fira rings?
If yes then definitely equip them

I think I'll spoiler tag this just to be safe, but I just beat
Roxas
in the new fight at TWTNW.
Fighting to Roxas' tragic music theme hit me hard just by reminding me of how tragic it all was.
I do have a question regarding the added cutscenes though. Ok, so
its a flashback to Roxas' "birth". Xemnas gives Roxas his name and then Roxas and Axel are talking on the clock tower. Is that a flashback as well or some sort of magical death hallucination? Roxas mentions the kids at Twilight Town and they're both aware of Sora, so I'm guessing it's the latter...but how?
Booyah! That's a Platinum for KH1. (Unchanging Armor, too)
Really proud of myself as I'd done this on the PS3 version on Beginner, but that's basically cheating (this run was on Standard - I got every trophy but those two on my Proud run). I also unlocked all the Keyholes and found every Dalmatian, I was sweating pretty hard at ten hours by Hollow Bastion.
Just platinumed KH2 earlier, freaking 60 frames really fucks with timing on Lingering Will every other fight is okay but you can't guard the move where he rushes at you and uses like a keyblade punch canon thing. You could before at 30 fps its one of the earlier moves to knock him off balance but on 60 you still take damage so you have to dodge it now. Everything else felt pretty similar for the most part though didn't take me nearly as long as it did on the PS3 version (none of it did once I remembered the various strats for each bonus boss)
KH2 is truly the best in the series and it reaffirms my believe that its really one of the best action rpgs ever made, on Critical it just feels spot on in terms of difficulty never unfair (outside of a few fps glitches) and LW is still the single most impressive boss fight I've ever completed. It's a shame there is a way to cheese the thing honestly, wish it didn't exist and there was a separate trophy for beating it on Critical I'd be really curious to see how many people are able to do that.
It's not as bad in this PS4 collection since the difficulty trophies stack, don't they? It was HORRIBURU on PS3 since you had to play the game through with all difficulty levels on both characters, but on PS4 you can just pick the hardest difficulty level and get all of them in one go.

Agreed it's one of the best action games out there imo, i really really really hope KH 3 borrows more from KH2 gameplay wise than the ''spin off'' games. If so KH 3 might beat it.
