I have verizon fios. what package with uverse do you have? cause i think cable companies usually have 4 tiers---i have the 2nd tier. and i bought nba league pass, and they still don't let me have nba tv! fucking stupid

on a side note I wish cable companies would let me pick what channels I want. Out of the 200 available I watch like 8

I have the U300. It's the 3rd package and I get just about every channel minus HBO and Cinemax. It's really odd because the U300 gives me Funimation(which I watch) but if I want to upgrade to the top package(U450) it doesn't give me the channel. I have NBA TV on mine but like I said, I don't watch NBA, but I also get MLB TV, Golf Channel, Tennis Channel, Crotchet Channel(joke), but NHL? Noap, Uverse says fuck the NHL.

I've never been to a hockey game. Spent 27 years of my life in L.A. and never went. I've been to tons of Lakers games, great seats too. A few Clippers games and tons of Dodgers games. Hopefully one day I'll check out a hockey game.

It really is. Got down to the floor level of a Suns game back in 1995 when I was able to get Charles Barkley's wife's attention in order to get her to ask her husband to sign a painting I did of him.
The view from the floor is just unbelievable.

Hockey is an absolute blast live.

I think Lebron has the most well rounded game in NBA history, but I would still pick Kobe over him in a draft. I am not really sure why either, but I just hate the idea of going to war with Lebron as my main guy.

I can't stand Kobe, but in my thirty plus years of watching the NBA him and MJ are the only guys to give me chills when they get in the zone. I loved Bird vs Magic, but Magic himself never really worried me. It was always Worthy or Kareem that were going to be the difference maker.

Totally agree with this especially with going to war with kobe over lebron. Bird even picked kobe, "Probably Kobe, because of the fact that ... well, of course he wouldn't have been shooting as much as he does now ... but his desire to win, his dedication, to always get better, and he's just, he's just tough,"

A) that sounds awesome

B) you do realixe there's other countries than the USA, right? In a lot of which hockey is at least as, if not more popular than the NBA.

Basketball is more global than hockey, hockey only has ground in Canada, US, Scandinavia, Parts of Eastern/Central Europe, Russia and some former Soviet states. Basketball has players from all continents.

Hockey is more limited due to more requirements and higher entry level like the fact you need ice for starters, and know how to skate and equipment and so forth.

Basketball is far more accessible hence its greater popularity, not counting Jordan's legacy or the NBA's superior marketing.

Lebron James in MJ's NBA, with no zone defenses and players like Bill Laimbeer considered "rough", would be a god.

Michael Jordan in today's NBA would be Tracy McGrady.

It's a fact, he has never produced on the level LeBron does. Only Jordan and Wilt are in the same conversation.

This is such bullshit. He's never been as efficient as LeBron because he lacks a speed, size and athleticism advantage over EVERYONE guarding him (while still getting EVERY call lol) but he has produced just as much and even more. Call me when LeBron ever sniffs 60 points in a game even with all the freethrows he gets.

Kobe's dominance is much more impressive to me because he isn't bullying opponents physically. It's all SKILL and he does it in the far superior Western Conference without an Allstar team around him.

loooooool DM finally showed up

holy shit vanessa I know Kobe just got hurt but you can stop revising history now. why the fuck are you acting like kobe played with old horace grant and elden campbell his whole career?

also lebron has gotten close to 60 plenty of times and all those games were when he got hot from the field

but since he isn't the chucker kobe is that's what you will hang onto. can't wait when grandpa konex tells his grandkids that kobe was the ultimate megaman player who had the power of shaq, the distribution of magic, the post moves of hakeem, etc. etc.

maybe one day you will learn that putting up buckets isn't the only thing that matters

Ignore Phoenix. He's from Detroit and is most likely a Heat fan. That in of itself makes his opinion worthless on basketball.

Bro, who the fuck are you? You're saying LeBron is better than Jordan. Are you on fucking bath salts or something? Is that why you're laughing like a smarmy fool in your avatar?

That's because he is, junior. You can keep repeating what you hear on ESPN and take the safe opinion of MJ > LBJ, and that's fine for kids like you who started watching basketball when Kobe got drafted, but leave the real NBA talk to the grown men. Now run along and play.

Stats don't lie. BTW, Kobe has had more FT attempts per game this season and still barely has more ppg in more minutes. LeBron isn't a ballstopping volume shooter, those crazy scoring games of Kobe also have many games where he has shot the Lakers out of a win.

Even the Heat fans in the NBA thread aren't as in love with Lebron as you.

haha, so Kobe is better because he can score 60 points in a game? You honestly think LeBron couldn't score that much against a bad team?

We're talking about stats, not anecdotes of single games. Kobe has NEVER been nearly as productive as LeBron or Jordan.

one on one, kobe would win.
both at peak.
you know who else would give lebron the pipe?
scottie fucking pippen.
your argument is invalid.

We don't need to turn this into a fantasy game. The stats are there to parse. And that 1v1 focus by Kobe and his fans is why he hasn't won anything lately. And no, Kobe couldn't beat LeBron one on one.

Kobe has arguably never been the best player in the NBA. And this he has had a good season for his age this year, there are still ten players who have been better/more efficient than him; guess who's #1, again.

He's a great player, no one is denying that, but even at his best (when he was playing with Shaq) he hasn't done what LeBron and Jordan have done.

Basing your whole argument on PER is like Dick Morris basing his argument on his stats.

You act like NBA fans can name any countries outside of the US.

Hey! I lived in another country for 3 years. Also I am sure Cloving knows about Israel.

Edit: Kobe 5
LeBron 1

Now tell me Kobe didn't win a few of those title because he had Shaq and Phil while ignoring the fact that Lebron left Cleveland to play with a HoF player in Wade and another great player in Reptar.

anytime I see "your argument is invalid" from herpes I already know it's a valid one

you know what's invalid?
asterisk championships.

efficiency rating has little impact on the success of players.
look at yao ming, top 25 most efficient players of all time.
charles barkley, #11 on the list couldn't even do jack shit.

LeBron will always be the best player on his title team. Kobe has been once... >: )

Who was the regular season MVP the years Kobe won with Shaq?(Diesel)
Who was the finals mvp when Kobe won with Shaq?(Diesel)
Who won a title not two years after leaving Kobe?(Diesel)

Who disappeared against the Celtics when he had the opportunity to show up and was carried by Gasol?(6/24)
Who was MVP a number of times, and last year?(LBJ)
Who was finals MVP the year LBJ won a ring?(Hint: not Wade)
Who can play any position on the floor?(Hint: Not Kobe)

If you want to take note of disappearing Finals performances, maybe you should check out 2007 and 2011.

As if 23 & 15 is "disappearing" in game 7, even.

I like how people are acting like Lebron isn't on one of the most stacked teams in league history. He's the best of the 3 but these guys were all running their own teams before they got together.

That Miami team post-Shaq pre-Lebron was dominating. I think they averaged 35 wins?
Toronto has been a force to be afraid of for years.
Where was Mike Miller at before Miami again?
Birdman as the centerpiece of that dynasty in Denver was sick.

...

This Miami team is way better than the Bird Celtics, or the Magic Lakers. Just so stacked.

You're user name shows you are bias. So I'll just say this, without Gasol, Kobe didn't sniff the finals for years.

LBJ made it to the finals with Cleveland. Who were garabge before and after Lebron(tho I do love watching Kyrie)

You're right. Wade, Bosh, Ray Allen, and Shane Battier are all slouches. They've done nothing in their career to merit any notice.

If only Lebron could get more help.
