Kuroko, Himeko, Bossun, Switch are support characters in March 19 PS3/PSV game

This year's 52nd issue of Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine is announcing on Monday that Tetsuya Kuroko from the Kuroko's Basketball manga and Himeko, Bossun, and Switch from Sket Dance are joining the lineup of Namco Bandai Games' J-Stars Victory Vs. "team battle action" video game.

All four of these new additions will be support characters. Kuroko lends his honed skills of misdirection against opponents. When opponents approach Himeko, she goes berserk on them. At long range, the Sket Dan team lets loose a pachinko attack. Finally, Switch pulls out his notebook computer to analyze the battle situation.

Previously announced characters include Toriko (Toriko), Luffy (One Piece), Goku (Dragon Ball Z), Naruto's title character, Rurouni Kenshin's Kenshin Himura, Gintama's Gintoki Sakata, Kochira Katsushika-ku Kamearikouen-mae Hashutsujo's Kankichi Ryotsu, Hunter x Hunter's Gon Freecss, Yū Yū Hakusho's Yūsuke Urameshi, Tsunayoshi Sawada (with Reborn) from Katekyo Hitman Reborn!, and Tatsumi Oga (with Beelzebub) from Beelzebub. The rival characters Sasuke (Naruto Shippūden), Vegeta (Dragon Ball), Zebra (Toriko), Jaguar (Pyu to Fuku! Jaguar), and Tarō (Chinyūki -Tarō to Yukaina Nakama-tachi-) are also joining the roster.

The 3D fighting game will allow players to use Naruto's "Shadow Clone," Luffy's "Gum Gum Stamp," Toriko's "Nail Punch," Goku's "Kamehameha," Yūsuke's "Spirit Gun," Gon's "Janken Gū," and other famous moves from Jump characters.

The PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita game will be released on March 19. A regular copy of the PS3 version will cost 7,980 yen (about US$80), while a limited edition will cost 10,980 yen (about US$110). The normal edition of the PS Vita version will cost 6,980 yen, while a limited edition copy will retail for 9,980 yen (about US$100).

I'm gonna go that this is referring to something that happened with the manga, which series and why?

The author of Kuroko's Basket received death threats because a guy really really hates his work.
Several events have been cancelled due to this.

Alright, 2 more new franchises represented, even if they're support characters. & of course, one of them is a sports character assist. Now I wonder if Prince of Tennis or Eyeshield 21 will return.

....I also kind of wish they'd announce a new stage at this point, it seems like we've barely heard of them.

I'd take almost any other player in the show over kuroko (especially aomine) but w/e Kuroko works.

I hope this game is atleast 1/2 as amazing as Jump Ultimate Stars was.
