they probably work in the same way as overwatch's, the reward of that chest is calculated when you earn it (ie: my chest from 6 months ago couldn't have given me elementalist lux)

Nah. You get Winter Chests during the event, so there is no point in hoarding chests. Winter Chests are just like normal chests except they contain the bonus snowdown event crafting thingies.
I'm quite certain the chests calculate the reward when you open it. Rioters have confirmed it on reddit.

The standard mystery gifts are only skins. You can self-mystery gift yourself an icon if you so choose though. You can think of it like Mystery Gift is an umbrella term now. The specific mystery gifts are mystery skin, mystery champ, etc.

There are 49 champions which have play rates sufficient to be tracked as junglers by champion.gg. 18 have win rates above 50%. While, admitedly, several of champions below 50% are perfectly viable, I've never seen this sort of skewing before. Even more telling is that none of the other roles suffer from this.
It's discouraging to see that after years the competitive trend of jungling being constantly restricted to a tiny sliver of possible champions have krept into lower elos in ranked.

even taking out the champions that shouldn't be in the jungle(twitch, graves, et al) seeing someone like fiddles with 45% hurts

i kind of wish they did like a chest sale so i could like indulge in my dumb consumerism
also there is something free, regular chests give u candy which u can use to get icons. that's pretty ok, tho with a minimum of 6 candy for one icon, i find it pretty unlikely that i'll open 6 chests in 3 weeks lol
also most mids seem to have dropped in winrate since the rylais nerfs (and they seem to have gutted ap kog lol). i don't mind that so much since it's a flat nerf for the entire class and also a lot of mids like viktor and syndra were on a downwards trend already for some reason, but it's still a bit of a bummer specially knowing syndra will receive so many nerfs

i wonder what kind of effect the smite nerfs will have on this. i find it unlikely it'll boost the other 31 up, but maybe it sets up the jungle environment to give them specific buffs?

like i may question balance or champion and skin design sometimes, but i'd never call it terrible, i just disagree or find stuff to be mistakes but u know
but the way they design the layers upon layers of complicated crafting bullshit is just so freaking annoying

a pity timer is something that'll sooner or later guarantee a rare item
like in overwatch, there's only so many chests you can get with whites and blues until you get a legendary, because the % chance of getting a legendary goes up each time you open a chest

Now you want bullshit I've played/faced, Ragnaros is a bullshit motherfucker. Huge AoE wave that travels down a wave killing every minion automatically, and doing 400 damage per second to everything else taht stands in it. Goddamn that is great.
