Locket and Oracle's Lens would have really helped too. The latter is great against Akali because it works on stealth champs.

Considering the ADC almost had more CS than anyone on the enemy team, that wasn't an issue.
What might be an issue is the attitude displayed in the chat, however.

It's funny because you raged at your teammates for being terrible and said you were going to report them, when actually the problem was your failure to coordinate and cooperate with them and the fact that you agreed to play a role you refused to actually fill!

Well, the ADC never got full build, so I think that the lost CS could have prevented them from being able to actually carry to some degree. It's hard to judge from a simple screenshot, but something more to help with Akali going nuts would have been big.

I mean I've played some pretty retarded supports (master yi support) before but the one thing that everyone knows to do is to not take CS from the ADC unless you have relic shield (you didn't.), always buy a Sightstone and ways to clear vision (you didn't) and always have a summoner to help your team in medium-large scale engagements like exhaust or ignite. Like that's not a "teamplay" issue. That's just not doing the right thing.
uh an adc up by 20 cs over laners is already pretty strong. 200 cs would have let him just crap on their entire team in fights.

back in my day when u were lvl 27 evryone called u a staff captain baddie and den hit u offline in squad battle.
To give you advice, pink wards are the easiest way to shut down Akali in team fights and for when ganking her. If you're concerned about Akali snowballing, carrying around a pink ward is a good investment.
Your team was very good at team fighting with around 4 AOE abilities, while the enemy team had several assassins and would ideally want to pick you guys off one by one. The ideal way to play your team was to group up and push them or group up and take objectives. You also sorely needed wards to prevent pick offs.
Somebody has to make the sacrifice and buy a sightstone. The ~800 gold it costs to buy a sightstone might mean 800g less for your Hydra, but it's worth in vision is far more powerful than 800g of any item you could buy.

I've been on the losing end of a fed Hecarim before. The first time I engaged him (he had like 7-8 kills already, I was top lane) I hit him for almost zero damage.

It's sort of understandable if they die in ganks, it's awful if they die because they roamed after backing. Our support would B, and then come down the mid lane. That's not a terrible tactic all the time, but it is when they die over and over and keep doing it.

You didn't even itemize as a support... sure it sucks to be in the position you were in, but you didn't even posture yourself to actually HELP the ADC... then, reading the post game chat... seems like you may have been as much of the problem here as anyone else.

I'm going to ask this question again because I wasn't able to get mid on SR last night for practice - if I play my potential mage picks on TT (Ori, Liss, Ziggs, throw in some Lulu, Zyra and maybe Karma, Fizz, Talon for good measure) will skills like last hitting, trading, champ mechanics, and intangible stuff like comfort playing a champion translate to SR? I know they're different, but right now I get to play mid only so often and I'm unable to build any sort of "learning flow" like I did with jungle, support, and to less extent ADC. I'm so preoccupied with just learning champ mechanics I'm not really learning how to play mid as a position/role anyways.
