I love how Riot keeps making more complex kits (with zero autotarget bullshit) instead of simpler and keeps making the game harder instead of dumbing it down like other succesful games did. I mean compare this new one, Gnar and Azir to Annie, Yi or Ryze.

It adds new strategies and choices. Do you give your spear to your support and have stronger laning or do you give it to your jungler so when you hit 6 you can pull him like Thresh and fuck shit up? Giving the spear to an assassin and using the ult to reposition him after he kills someone?

Who the hell is going to build a strategy around Azir's turrets? I don't know, who is going to do stuff like double support comps or sending adcs alone and having bruisers lane 2v2?

Fuck if I know, but the tool is there, if people come up with comps for it great, if they don't it's a fun mechanic for solo Q, win win. Draven Q was the same but it made a champion that plays like no other, how does that not add anything to the game?

Kalista was designed by CertainlyT.

It all makes sense. His champions are so outside the "meta" of champions that they're incredibly difficult to balance. See: Zed, Thresh, Yasuo.

Zed and Thresh are awesome champions. Yasuo could be as well if only his dash mechanic wasn't a fucking joke and he had some resource management. His Q is one of the most well-thought spells in the game imo and should be made the standard melee attack for everyone.

I'm not playing much of it currently actually. I'd like autoattacks to become some kind of Irelia ult / Ezreal Q / Urgot Q. The only problem I see is the minion collision but I'm sure it could be sorted out.

Looks like they're changing the damage on Maokai's ult to a shield instead.

So when it's on, 20% damage reduction. When he ends his ult, allies get a shield. Also if it reaches full capacity they got a speed boost.
