She doesn't look fat/preggo/or whatever it is the deviant art kids are into now these days.

She's just fine. It's muscle, damn it! :(

Lookin like a whale

Just caught up on season 3. I went dark until they were all out on the web to watch it all in one burst. Wow this season they finally got everything to click. The ending to the season was amazing. The strongest season since season 2 of Avatar. Will buy the blurry for sure. The action sequences were fluid and so full of creative energy. And they finally realized who their secret weapon on the show and used it. Bolin was awesome all season.

About the ending of season 3,
Korra crying didn't look like tears of joy or as if she was proud of Jinorah or something. It just looked really painful. Poor Korra :(

Pretty sure she was crying because she thinks that she'll never be able to fulfill her job as Avatar in her current state.

It could be a mix of emotions. She now has Avatar Inc., a team of people willing to help her protect the world, but she's also dealing with what you said.

I borrowed the box set for ATLA and saw the bonus feature about how specific marttial art styles influenced types of bending. The choreography in Korra has been great overall, but I feel as if the martial art influences seem less prominent. That could just be part of the futuristic setting (relative to ATLA) though.

Has Korra ever used an air glider?

She couldn't have used one in season 1. I haven't seen the second half of season 3 since the online fuckery, but I can't recall her ever using one.

Odd that she has one on the cover.

I figure it's kind of like MMA. By Korra's time, martial arts bending is used for sport (pro bending), so styles probably got mixed together. That also explains why pro-benders aren't so proficient at fighting, despite their skill level with the art in general.

Yeah, this was deliberate by the creators (who are big MMA fans). They explore the evolution of bending arts through Tenzin's initial disdain for pro-bending in the beginning of Book 1.

If it ain't Spongebob it ain't nothing.

Speaking of, what shows are on Nick besides Spongebob, Korra, and Power Rangers? I know they treat the latter two like their red headed stepchild but IS there anything else?

WTF
I expected Book 4 soon, but not as early as next month. I suppose Nick just wants to get rid of it as fast as they can.

Hello everyone, first time posting here
