yeah they could do a lot better. and what's up with the beams/cannons on its shoulders? i can't recall any sentinel design that had it. not even the upcoming movie version.

I'm really excited for the wolverine mask piece though. most will recall the previous wolverine was maskless.

They could do a whole series of Sentinels as far as I am concerned. Give me one of Nimrod:

Nimrod_Model_Sentinels_(Earth-1610)_from_Ultimate_Comics_X-Men_Vol_1_1.png

Then just make one big UCS Master Mold set.

No mention of Lord of the Rings sets, and those Hobbit sets numbering continue from the "Desolation" sets.

Hmmm...

Though the big Hobbit set is supposed to be $130USD

The Castle set is a Junior set.

As much as I want to be optimistic for a smaug set if these are fall sets then they could just be more army battle sets from the third movie.

I've said it before, and I will say it again: I LOVE the name of Benny's Spaceship, Spaceship, SPACESHIP! Price is in line with what I thought too. Damn good price on Emmet's mech as well.

Now, what is the price on the glorious Sea Cow? We will probably find out tomorrow.

Budget accordingly!

It loads slow, but the leaked pics are there.

Polar bear!

The sled dogs look sweet!

80's Wolverine!!!! Sentinel! Not as awesome as some of the MOCs, but I'll take it.
Polar bear! It's an obvious choice since they came out with the brown bear.

At this rate $4k won't be enough for 2014. No space either. I need to open a Bricklink store to support my habit.

Friends sets look interesting too.

Chima tigers?

Yeah what is going on with LEGO City prices... they should be lower. Oh well, I buy most of my sets on sale anyway, but it still stings.

Do we know if Green Ninja is coming in any of those new LEGO Movie sets? I need that figure and the sets that have him (the way he looks in the movie, anyway) are expensive. bricklink is possible, but if he's coming in a future set i'll just wait

Sentinel:

It's still a prelim, hopefully they touch it up a bit more.

The kingdoms line looked so much better than the current castle line, the current castle line completely underwhelms me.

Yeah I'm super bummed I missed all the kingdoms sets. Would've gotten all of them to be honest

Green Ninja is apparently in the Super Secret Police Dropship set.

My question is where is (an affordable) Green Lantern?!?

Ooh! those sled dogs/huskies look awesome! been wanting wolves (though the wargs are still pretty awesome)

I'd kill for a pug mold though :)

this is probably the most revealing pic though ;)

It looks like this helicopter will be making a return as an Arctic set. LEGO loves making variations on this helicopter though it looks like the cockpit windshield is all one giant piece now

screw the helicopter, i want lego Dino to return. I missed out on that theme.

JP4 is coming soon LEGO... better cash in.

I heard this in Uk but Is this for the US too?

Yes, but the figure is not very good IMO... My main gripe is that it's Emmet... again. Like we don't already have enough of him in the other sets as well as in the CMF series.

Noooo... confirmed Hobbit sets and no LotR sets. Although, one of those better be Smaug, that's something at least. I don't see many new characters appearing either (Dain?) so many of them should be new dwarf variations.

I saw the bike shop in a vendor catalogue, it looks great, like a smaller modular or something like MMV. Apart from that, though, not much to really be excited about here.

I hope it looks closer to this than the pic above. The wheels look ungainly.

Really want to see the Ice Breaker ship. I have this urge to buy a boat.

There's only a $20 difference between the AT-AT and ISD? I'm surprised, maybe the ISD isn't going to be as big as I thought it would be.

In a world where we still don't have a LEGO Balrog, I honestly do wonder if we'll get Smaug or not... and if we do, I hope it doesn't look exactly like the recent Castle dragons only with a head and color palette swap.

While I like the look of them, would just like something unique for such a major character.

Mr Mike

1 million Canadian dollars
Those leaked pics show LEGO DUPLO Batman sets. Feels a bit awkward to see LEGO competing so hard on the licence front. But Batman is pushed heavily to that audience via Imaginext, and LEGO must be under lots of pressure to keep growing and maintain that 'world's No.1' label...

I'll probably help them get there and tragically collect all the Batman sets anyway ;)

No way. Not only is Smaug a lot bigger than that, but he's also built very differently. I'm not even sure Warner would allow Lego the license if they tried getting away with that.

I missed out on the rerelease of the Lego Dragon in the Dragon mountain castle set.

I hope he's going for cheap in bricklink.

Just realized this morning I have $200 in VIP points (giving LEGO as Christmas gifts has a great advantage!), so I'm heading to the LEGO store today. First trip of the new year! My shopping list includes: Tower of Orthanc (paid for with the VIP points), Parisian Restaurant, and Unexpected Gathering.

That's a helluva trip! Enjoy your purchases!

I think I'm gonna have to get the Chima Eagle Legend Beast. I've wanted an Eris figure and all those joints can be useful. It's cheap enough so that I can treat myself some day.

Helluva haul there. I don't know if I would say to do Parisian Restaurant or Orthanc last. Definitely do Unexpected Gathering first. No matter what order, that is one awesome lineup waiting to be built.

Yeah, that is a killer line-up. A top 5 set from each of my 2012 and 2013 lists, and a contender for my top 5 for 2014.
