Thank you. And it isn't going to be much taller than other modulars. I don't plan on a lot of height to it. It was all about getting two auditoriums in.

I still am trying to figure out what to do with the exterior on the second floor. About all I have made are the logos for the theater, which are a variation on my old theater MOC logo of a giant brick.

I am debating on calling this the BrickMAX like my old one, or the CineBrick.

All this train talk is making me want to order the rechargeable power functions battery pack finally. And the backorder time is only a couple of weeks now.

However, does anyone have experience using a cheaper power transformer than the official LEGO one to go with it? At $30, the LEGO one is crazy expensive, and wondering if a generic one will charge the pack without issue.
It seems that most generic ones don't have a 10v option, with only 9 or 12 at the top end. Things I see online say that they will work, but will be slow.

Or should I just bite the bullet and get the official one?

I thought Lego Minecraft was over but they're still going strong! Back when I made my list of characters/locations they hadn't done I had Witch and Jungle Temple but I never would have expected the others. I assume Nether Train will be a minecart set up ala The Mine from Wave 1, no idea what Ice Towers or Secret Waterfall Escape could look like but oh my goddddd they're gonna make a Mooshroom Island set!!! That means my poor, lonely Mooshroom from the Crafting Box will finally have friends.

Really stoked that it seems to be doing well enough to keep getting sets. If Microsoft keeps regular updates with new features/locations/mobs I could see it going on for quite a while yet. They still need to do a Desert Temple and they have none of the water mobs or locations, and the new The End area with the crazy towers and trees, they just introduced Polar Bears and for whatever reason there's STILL no Lego Minecraft chicken.

Dragons > leprechauns as collectibles, but I still have faith in Elves. Whatever Lando is in will have to be bought since I don't have him (except as a skiff guard). Princess and Nexo Knights lines seem to be just cruising along. They could just rename the former as Frozen by this point, and if Nexo year two still just has the five guys versus lava monsters I won't care. I'm assuming the "Action" figures are constraction?

As usual, there will be tons of stuff that I'll want, but from the list there's not much yet.

I'm really hoping for the return of a giant Creator Fairground set in 2017. Fairground Mixer and Ferris Wheel are 2 of my favorite sets of all time, really hoping they aren't done with that having taken 2016 off.

The Friends line of amusement park sets out right now are nice but it doesn't quite fill that hole for me.

Pulled the trigger and ordered Ecto 1 & 2. I'll see if I order the Disney Castle on monday too, or if I'll wait a bit until october for double VIP (might not take that risk though, I can see this being on backorder for months). Have been working my ass of this summer, so I'll be having a pretty comfortable income the next few months.

Target audience strongly overlaps with Friends audience. That's why I was really surprised in the rumor they would be minifigs. Whatever the head gear are, they will be compatible with minfigs. All of the above have a minfig version except for bumblebee. I'll get them regardless if they are minidolls or minifigs. I just hope the sets have a lot more basic color palette.

You must be new. They release new police stations pretty much every year (and fire stations every other year). Unlike Star Wars and Super Heroes and such which have a decent amount of collectors, there are (I'm assuming) pretty few City collectors, and the line focuses more on the kids.

Now, you could think that they could simply keep the same station in production as the kids age past it and either move on to other stuff (Ninjago, Minecraft, SW) or stop doing Lego. But then again it would very quickly be obvious even to parents, as they go to shop for kid #2 and find the very same police station in stores three years later.

i'm new to lego... but i'm a simpsons fan, so i bought and build the house and the kwik-e-mart and i have all the figs. i found the building part, really soothing. i don't what it is about just following instructions.

anyway, after that i bought the 3 in 1 orange motorcycle... didn't really like. and recently just to scratch the itch i bought the millenium falcom microfighter. is great, but it didn't work, i just want more!

anyways, why did they stop doing the simpsons set?. maybe the could have to made small sets, like... the threehouse... or stuff like that. small vignettes.

what set you guys recommend me to buy?, i want something fun to build. (i'm not really a fan of star wars, or the superheroes anyway... )
