Walker and the destroyer make sense for me in-movie, if a little derivative. Probably too similar to previous builds but I wouldn't call them trash. I like the evolution of the B wing in the bomber and I hope they make a set for the ships that attack the walkers.
BB-8 is indeed the star of this wave. Ordered it last night along with the advent calendar.
Unfortunally in europe we get a polybag Mini First Order Heavy Assault Walker and not the Scarif Stormtrooper minifigure but you guys from the US only get 2x points so thats kinda even i guess
Ignoring that until the next points promotion (or probably Easter's, because I'll most likely have other things on my mind the end of this year)
I probably *will* get it, but I can't afford - in space terms rather than financial terms! - to get it yet
Lego Masters again last night. I'm really enjoying it. A nice mix to the format, they included one quick build (Okay, with 'quick' equalling 'three hours'), as well as one main twelve-hour build.
The quick build was an interesting one. The theme of the episode was motion, so their first task was to open an envelope with a mode of transport in it and build one without any pre-planning, with an emphasis on playability. However, one hour in, there was a twist; they had to pass the envelope to the left, and had to adapt their original model to include the new concept.
The main build was a large funfair tableau with at least one major motorised ride. Some brilliant ideas there, and there's one pair who are clear leaders in my eyes.

Plenty of free stuff with my BB8. Also only £85 - assumed it was £99
Nice mini poster of the MF with a 14.9.17 VIP date on the back, and a glossy trifold leaflet for it too. They're pushing it pretty hard so I hope that means plenty of stock. Also got the Caveman freebie which was a bit odd. Never really know what to do with the promo packs, might just sell them on to raise a few pennies towards a possible MF.
Leicester Square Lego store has the falcon upstairs. It's simultaneously so incredible to look at that I can easily justify the cost, and yet so big it feels easy to reject it.
Fishing hut is beautiful but I got rid of all my modulars so I'll resist that
Got a free minifigure travel pack (whatever that is), a free star wars minifig, and another free VIP keychain due the cashier not typing the code in last time I used it.
Got Thrawn's Ship, the Bounty Hunter pack, Yoda's Ship, and Luke's Speeder
The Phantom and the Bounty Hunter pack are both backordered though... no giant box full of fun for me, just a few separate, little boxes.
Still no oder confirmation of my OFS order (I did get my BB-8 mail, though I ordered it later in the night). But it's up in my order list, so I guess I'm okay. Hope they ship these beauties soon...
That MF looks amazing and gigantic. Such a shame I am not in London today like planned. I'll never buy it though. Way to big and unwieldy. And even though I spend hundreds of euro's a year at Lego, putting down 850 for one set is crazy, no matter how many pieces it has.
Probably a bug in their mailing system. It's in my order overview, the 200 point's I used to get 10 euro of was deducted and my credit card has been charged, so I'm confident everything is fine.
I relented and only got BB8 today. Snowspeeder and trooper/speeder tomorrow, Deathstar on Sunday. 3 posters and hopefully 3 of the little walkers. Many points.
Thanks for the heads up. That is the only constaction I want since The Grievious one. For some reason I thought they would keep that in production longer as it seems to sell very well.

They should make more droid style construction kits. They seem to work better than humans in armor. Grievous (not technically a droid) and K-2SO look great.
C-3PO would work, as would one of those rolly shield droids.

I was gonna get the Scarif/shoretrooper but then as i saw it in person, it looked really underwhelming compared to the minifig promo which actually looks good!
Also: I was floored when i saw Ninjago City in person...thing is HUUUUUGE, i honestly don't EVER see myself attaching that beast to a regular modular street even though you apparently can right? It would just completely dwarf any other modular in a way to make them look bad
My store had about 11-12 people waiting when the doors opened. Ten of them either bought a BB-8 or had one in hand when I left. If you plan on getting one today, go soon!
Had a nice conversation with an older dude while waiting for the store to open. Based on his Lego knowledge and buying habits, it was like talking to myself 30 years in the future. Good dude, and let the kids waiting go into the store before him. I left the store with hope yet for humanity.
And Old Fishing Store and the Star Destroyer and BB-8 and the Halloween set. BB-8 was an impulse buy. I don't know what came over me. Actually I do - I looked at the back of the box and saw the little arm with the blue flame and caved.
Oh, and I got charged $0.99 for my mini poster. Didn't realize it until I got home. Now I have the right to complain that it's embarrassingly small and a waste of time.
Line at the LEGO store was smaller than on a major release day. However, BB-8 was sold out by the time I made it to the cash register, and the OFS was almost gone as well.
Got the Scarif Trooper promo and a cool booklet (the size of a car dealership model booklet) all about the Falcon.
October 2x VIP is when I'll grab Ninjago City. It's my birthday the 16th of october, so I should be able to scrape some cash together. The VIP points of that + triple Force Friday VIP should make the WV Station a lot cheaper.
Same, they had 3 Saturn V's in store
They had 3 BB-8s and I scooped one up
Was about to buy the Tie Fighter too but I'm saving
Falcon is big af
T H I C C
A mom and her kid were looking at the falcon and she said she'd buy it if it were in stock(they couldn't find it)
Was she BSing or telling the truth 🤔
Seems like OFS is shipped to. Again didn't receive a mail, but I have a trackingcode in my order status page on s@h. Their mailingsystem probably bugs when there are two mails to send to the same adress at almost the same time.
Finished step 1 of the fishing shop. It is a simple build but very enjoyable. Also back to why I quoted you. There was a restock of saturn V at my store as well.
I wonder how their systems work. If they're low on stock would they hold off during a double VIP phase and then put back on sale afterwards, or is that too tin foil hatty?
