Since we don't actually draw a crosshair for bullet weapons, your best bet at the ranges in BiA is to look down the sights, line them up with your target and pull the trigger. (just like you would do if you were aiming a weapon in real life).

I still remember in those days when CS was insanely popular, some pros went around sniping without a crosshair. It was supposed to help since you were relying more on feel and instinct than on visual stimulation and it made you look godlike at LAN parties. Of course, that only applies if you can consistently get your shots on targets. I did try it myself but gave up after a while because it took too much practise to be effective...

I thought MGS3 had great aiming without crosshair. It was kinda cool because you could hold machine guns on shoulder view and stuff. really neat.
