I've almost stopped watching movies entirely to watch [completed] series instead; marathoning is the only way to go, for me! Once starting a show, that's all I'll watch until it's all done... My record was probably going through ~160 episodes of Melrose Place in a month and a half after losing my job, hah.

Watch British TV. Our series' tend to only be around 6 episodes long for some reason.

I forgot about Torchwood! The first series wasn't great but from then on it gets amazing. And the first series is better once you've seen the rest because you have greater investment in the characters.

Watch The IT Crowd. There's 6 episodes per season and there are 4 in all, plus a special. It has some funny gay content in it, too.I lack the attention span to watch any series

Yep! I'm not a Dr Who fan but I really like Torchwood. I've only seen a couple of DW episodes since the 5th series of the modern ones, and no old episodes.

An English series I'd recommend (depending on your sense of humour) is called Sugar Rush. It's one of the funniest things I've ever seen and there are 2 6-episode seasons.
There are a couple of good, old Doctor Who episodes but also many that are unwatchable since the special effects haven't aged well.
All last three Incarnations of the Doctor were amazing though and experienced some really interesting adventures with some marvelous acting and awesome special effects.
Also, Tennant is the most handsome Doctor (yet).
I will look for a DVD set of Torchwood tomorrow. I need something to marathon until new episodes of Supernatural start to come out again anyway.
I watched S1-5 of Supernatural over the last couple of months and when I got to the end of season 5 I thought, "Welp, I'm out. This seems like where they actually wanted it to end." Is it worth watching past that?

Like I said, I still have some weight left to lose but generally people say I look thin. Someday I'll do a comparison pic, that would be fun because I have seen older photos and I don't understand how I stayed obese for my whole life and never did something for it, I'm paying now with loose skin and stretch marks (and man boobs that are not fading grrrrr I hate them)

I don't know what do about my brother, I hope I can endure these coming days. I was looking forward so much to go out with him to introduce him to some crazy gay clubs in town, but I don't think I even want to have drinks with him now, I saved money all year to bring the whole family, so I'm really sad and frustrated to say the least. He is being the most awful person possible, it's like he's doing it on purpose. He seems to be getting better, at least he's leaving behind that horrible last ex of his which was just a mess all around, and it seems he met someone in the subway who talked him out of going to screw some guy he doesn't even know, I hope everything works out.

It has some really good games, doesn't it? Most of my time on it the last few days is Mario's Super Picross, a SNES puzzle game on the Virtual Console. Well, I just have NintendoLand and Mario 3D World but I can safely say yes, the machine has tons of great games, I'm having a lot of fun with it. There is a Mario Picross? Ok I need to get that at some point, I love love Picross. NL is acutally fun in single player, I specially like the F-Zero, Ballon Fight and Zelda attractions. Mario 3D World is my game lf last year, is very fun and chalenging and the music is classic! I love the captain toad levels too, they are fun.

My father is devastated, yet he has come around sometimes, my mom is ok I guess, but as you asked, she actually knows more than she should, my brother started telling everything to my mom, which is absolutely insane, it's almost perverted in a way, you don't tell your mom you have anonymous sex in the steam room next to her while she was doing yoga, the breaking point for her was when he told her his (now ex) boyfriend did porn in the past and was trying to convince him to do it.
The part that hurts me the most is how fragile and malleable he is, he likes to play tough, he even said to me he only did guys "for sex" because he doesn't feel things for them as he feels for women, yet that last breakup left him completely shattered. His self steem has been on the floor for the longest time even before that.
I'll just let him go, I know it, I can do nothing, but it's really hard.

As weird and farfetched of a suggestion as this is, if you can't get him to go to therapy I want to say to get him to do LSD or mushrooms or something in a 'clinical' setting (consensually, obviously). Any kind of therapy would be good but sometimes 'entheogens' can kind of catalyze self awareness or healing if they're used appropriately. Normally I wouldn't really recommend something like that but he sounds wayward enough that it might result in some perspective.
I watched all of DW last year and yeah I saw that.

He actually does LSD on a regular basis, even after saying to me how bad it is. He has done things from glue to cocaine, fortunately he hasn't done heroin, I hope.
I do think I could convince him to get therapy, my therapist also worked with him for some time, so he already knows about him, he didn't had much hope for him though, he always told me he was in that self destruct spiral that gets out of control and is practically impossible to make someone get out of it, but it's the best shot at this point, thanks for reminding me, I think this is the best course of action for now.

I think my ex might be trying to get back together with me. As I said earlier we hadn't seen each other pretty much since we broke up, until this Monday (after I agreed to go watch the hobbit). He's been writing a bit more than usual and tonight he asked me to go with him to the mall to buy something. We had dinner after that and I enjoyed it but I don't think I'd like to get back with him.
After getting home he texted me something like "it was a fun night" which seemed a bit weird to me. Maybe he just wants to be friends but still it feels weird, why now? why me? I mean he has his own friends (I think).
I hope he calms down or I'll have to burst his bubble.

Probably better sooner or later. If that is his intent he's only going to get more assertive, better to be on the same page.

I broke up with him back in april, because I felt he didn't put that much effort into spending time with me, so I told him I was tired of "waiting" for him and that was it.
We saw each other a couple of weeks after that, then he went on a holiday an we didn't see each other again until now, though he texted me a few times.
Ah I see. So if his intention is just to be friends, is that okay for you? You say it's a little weird, but if you talk with him, and make it clear that you're not interested in getting back together, would you be okay with taking the friend route anyway or were you hoping to cut him out completely?

I'm really curious about this game. I was hoping to download the demo today, but I don't have my 3DS right now. My only concern is that it might be too slow and traditional like older RPGs. I think I prefer a more fast paced RPG.

I'll be watching next season as well. I doubt I'll be watching further unless Murphy somehow convinces Lange to come back or the quality goes up. It's a love-hate show for me. It has such potential and then squanders it and then goes gay camp but then goes all over the road with said gay camp. :/

Yeah it's seriously unbelievable SE was involved with this game in any shape or manner. Visuals and art-style are gorgeous, and music's fantastic so far, and battle system seems really fun. Cannot wait for my copy to arrive.
I can already tell this adjustable encounter rate is totally gonna ruin me for other RPG's afterwards.
