I have a guy from work texting me alot right now. wanting to hang out. he approched me out of the blue. Hes only 20! But this other guy is driving me crazy. I need to know what his deal is. Everytime i ask he just dodges the question or gives a general answer.

Talk to coworker. Not the nutbag.

Drop this crazy guy. Hang out with the coworker! So what he's only 20? Age is just a number. If he seems cool and fun, go with it.

The other guy i was talking about (the crazy guy) picked tape off of my jacket once. Like in a "i want to touch you" kind of way. I was really attracted to him, which sucks. I need to figure out how to get over it.

You've given him way more thought than he deserves and it's bumming me out. Have more self-respect or something :p

guys everywhere, most of them are icky -- if you haven't found a non-icky guy yet, your criteria should be:

1. not icky
2. not a dick
3. has a dick

solved all of your guy problems, everyone

One day I realized that sadness is just another word for not enough coffee.
What if the guy has another guy, does that make them icky?

not necessarily, but if you getting with another guy has him cheating, then that violates #2, since he would be a dick, and that's a no-no

I personally think open relationships are icky (and messy in more ways than one) though, so #1 is violated

A new guy appeared today... Seriously I don't know where all these guys are coming from, he texted me on instamessage, I swear I haven't really been pursuing any of them (though yes, I've been on grindr).

He's super cute and likes videogames ♥

This conversation reminds me of this dude in my economics class. He's two inches shorter than me. (I'm 5'7") Has a nice tattoo sleeve and short dirty-blonde hair. Hnnng

He's a bit too far on the snarky side, but he's been personable enough the few times he's said anything to me. He's notably one of the few people who consistently thanks me for holding the door open.

It's not exactly foolproof, but I've noticed that people that give enough of a shit to do something minor like that every time are generally pretty nice. I've made 2 friends that I've gotten along well with by just holding the door open and slowly starting to talk to them, even if just for a few seconds to start off with.

You've given him way more thought than he deserves and it's bumming me out.

F'rizzle.

If they're assholes the best thing you could possibly do is to ditch 'em. If you know nothing good can come of something there's no point holding out for it to magically improve.

Peer pressure.

Basically. :/

art, music, photography, funny stuff, inspirational stuff, etc?

I can get most of that with Wordpress and blogs already. I'm not seeing anything "revolutionary" in tumblr and so tumblr is still "Twitter that isn't named twitter" to me. :/

Random art? Music?

I have two and use one to reblog home decor, random writing stuff, video game stuff.

While the second is my "Porn catch all" Tumblr has so many uses.

Yeah... but in that case, why do I have an account/blog? I guess for the other two it'd get some use, but I just can't see myself using it for that purpose when I also have a wordpress account
that I don't even use. Eek.
for the same thing. *shrug*

It's all in one place? You get to create your own space and outlet for anything/everything? IDK why I'm trying to sell you on it haha, but that's what it is for me, and it's been pretty useful.

I mean he did say he wanted to have fun. I would have playfully asked if he wanted to come over. But eh not everyone would like that.

Yeah, I really should have...
I kinda regret not doing it, but oh well...

He wanted fun because he was too tired for sex. You seemingly want something more with him?

When you put it this way, yeah, I guess it's possible that that's all he wanted.
As for what I want - I always want more than sex. I mean, I'm not capable of just meeting someone and jump straight to bed.
In general, I'm looking for a relationship, and he seemed frustrated that he wasn't able to find one even though he went out a lot, so he just gave up on that idea.

Eh, nothing really lost. If you weren't in the mood to invite him over, then leave it at that. Should this happen again, you can be prepared for either (fun or hanging out) and then just roll with it.

If it will happen again, I'll defenitly be prepared!

Buttom line - I'm thinking about asking him out on a date, which at first sounds to me like a huge risk, but then I think about the worst case scenario, in which he'll just say "no thanks", and I realise I'm exaggerating.

Good luck Ratsky!

So I'm guessing that Spider From Mars' date went really well* since we haven't heard back from him on the subject.

*Bow chicka wow wow.

I got a testicular ultrasound tomorrow. Supa nervous. :(
Good luck, dude!

Seems like a good approach. The worst he can say is 'no,' and at that point you haven't lost anything and know his intent.

You can do the same in Wordpress and other blogging platforms, without the .gif size limit.

IDK why I'm trying to sell you on it haha,

It's not so much "selling," I get why people enjoy it or whatever. I just don't see the "point" when there's other services that do what it does (blogging) better in some ways and the main function that others use it for ("retweeting") is basically a close/function in another service (Twitter).

Mashing the two isn't really revolutionary. To me, anyway. *shrug*

But it isn't exclusive to Tumblr: I got a wordpress account that I don't use because I'm not even sure it's worth the time to write a bunch of shit no one cares about. (Of course, I'm doing it here ironically)

Well, I talked to him.
I didn't ask specifly about last night, but I wouldn't be surprised if his intention was for us to meet.

Anyway, he and I are not on the same page. He's looking for meaningless sex, while I look for something more, so we decided against going on a date.

All in all, I'm pleased with myself that I asked him. I'm such a coward when it comes to these things...

So, Mozilla's CEO resigned today.

I don't know how I feel about that...
Why are you hesitant? Not being combative, just curious. There seemed to be problems with this from the start, so I suppose it's not all surprising. Just had a conversation with an IT guy at my job and he said that he would be surprised if Mozilla was around in 10 years. Chrome has been slowly and steadily gaining momentum and market share over the last few years.

Mozilla is my dedicated porn browser so take that Eich

My first non-IE explorer was Opera, I still use my ancient Operamail email address, actually :p But once I tried Chrome I haven't been able to go back. I tried Mozilla, and yeah, it's okay but doesn't offer anything that makes me want to switch. Plus I'm a bit of a Google cheerleader.

As for this CEO - it's good. As someone said in that thread, openly hateful opinions/acts are starting to get universally bashed, and this is a good thing.

Anything can happen in 10 years. Netscape went from being the biggest browser to completely dying in 10 years (97-07). The last versions looked like Firefox with a skin.

Edit: I use chrome, but it's started to slow down (or I keep filling my RAM) and I still miss the awesome bar years later. I have no idea why smaller open source projects have better search than MS and Google inside programs and OS'.

I don't know...On one hand, my purely emotional reaction to this is "fuck yes!"

But then I wonder if punishing Mozilla and Brendan Eich for something he did years ago is the right thing to do. After all, Mozilla as a company is not anti-gay, and I doubt he would have made it anti-gay. And his donation to Prop 8 was done in private and without the use of Mozilla money or their support. And I tend to not be for the public lambasting of people for what they choose to do and believe in their private lives. It feels a little hypocritical.

I mean, as unfortunate as it is, a LOT of Californians supported Prop 8. Should all of them be hunted down and lynched for it?

Also: I hope Mozilla is around for a long, long time. I recently switched back to Firefox since Google started fucking with the simplicity and speed of Chrome. and Firefox's new beta is fantastic. The first time in years that I can honestly say it's better than Chrome in pretty much every way.

Wow! I had no idea Netscape Navigator had that much market share. A lot CAN happen in 10 years. What is considered the "best" browser currently on the market?

I can definitely understand the hesitation, and I don't doubt that this guy is going to be martyred to high heaven. Bottom line is, these people are on the wrong side of history and it's becoming more and more popular to call people out on their bullshit, no matter how small. He's still a powerful man that leads a company that employs people who are gay. It wouldn't be great for overall morale, either, and that was evident when some of the board members quit upon his hiring.

I also feel that there was more to his resignation, but the media is going to absolutely make it all about the Prop 8 funding.

The real issue here was that he didn't say anything (or did he? because I'm not finding anything), when the accusation first arose, he should have immediatly faced them. And he gave money, that is an actual action, not a "thought crime".

Try to picture him giving money to the KKK and things become more clear.
