It could also be due to how the rest is shot - there's not all that much appeal to a scene that's mostly offputting genital closeups.

There are way too many close-ups in porn. Yeah, get some nice anatomy shots in there, but I'd much rather see the majority of it be the guys involved actually interacting, touching, kissing, looking at each other, etc.
